straightforward applications means that no kids? no overstay? just one marriage? no divorce? stuff like that yeahh... i rather pay so i can hold the lawyer by the neck lol Dee282: Documents check and all can be done as low as £200 as long as your case is straightforward. A lot of solicitors offers free consultation. Depends on where you’re looking at.. |

yooo... I see no need for this aggression.... We are all here to learn, and we've done that peacefully, especially from MamaEEE.. I feel you should apologize... Personally, i did background checks and the least i saw was 1,050 quid.. even one thats run by a colleague's friend.. Consultation is different from checking your docs.. Full docs review don't come that cheap trust me.. Please apologize...ur tone was/is wrong.. Champneys: You are a pathological liar.
Majority offer free consultations and some will check your documents for £300 or less. |

I don't think the "Personal Details Form (VAF 4A) Family Settlement Application Form" is vital... I think it's just another version of the online application form... So not to worry if you did not submit it... I just decided to filled them and submit them all!... lol |

thanks for this.. this is certainly a game changer.. at least you get to keep ur original docs through out the process.. chrysbees: @profemebee, According to the update from TLScontact website, UKVI will not be accepting supporting documents sent by applicants to the Sheffield office from the 31st of July 2019. Applicants will have to 1. scan and send their supporting documents by themselves, or 2. scan it at the VAC during biometrics appointment for a fee, or 3. send it to TLScontact scanning hub at London where it will be scanned for a standard or priority service fee.
Full info can be read from TLScontact website, please. https://static.tlscontact.com/media/global/ww/uk/settlement_visa_applications_-_new_additional_process.pdf |

yeaaa,... especially all the visa stamps used to travel across each passport thanks.. justwise: There is no need including the sponsor’s passport , a photo copy of the front cover and data page will do, the same with any old passport you have used to travel or apply for visa |

lol i'm just tired...thanks for the response Lexusgs430: What about if the sponsor needs to travel urgently, how would that journey happen?.......
And why would the applicant submit expired passports?.....
Rather than submit the aforementioned irrelevant documents, best to concentrate on submitting the right documents and ensure documents are in date......... |

hi Justwise, I have seen cases where the applicant included the oirignal passports of their sponsors (the British passport) with their supporting documents.. Is this ideal? Also is the applicant supposed to include his previous passports in the supporting docs? justwise: You need to travel to the UK before 30days and when you get to the UK you can go the post office the next day to collect the biometric visa card
You will see instruction on that letter that came with your package. |

Also make sure you use the right test for IELTS as this thread has shown the wrong test can lead to refusal too... Any stories from applications done February - May 2019? I heard summer is a busy period for them ECOs... lets stay positive .. MamaEEE: Plz IELTS OR UK-NARIC is needed... Just putting your uni certificate wnt work, na straight refusal line b that... hi hi... it was standard.. May 20 2019 was the biometric date so i'm on 42 working days, excluding weekends & public holidays. wish us the very best.. still working to keep busy.... chrysbees: @profemebee, the screenshots I added to the supporting documents that we submitted was from our Whatsapp voice/ video calls and normal phone calls. I didn't screenshot the whatsapp chats as the voluminous exported chat log served us well.
You mentioned submitting in May, was it standard or priority? |
Travel › Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by profemebee(m): 9:47am On Jul 16, 2019 |
i have this exact issue.. i still checked my photocopies of what i submitted in May.. dont want to worry over it... the only thing is that the nickname is also the email address i even used to register for UKGov... so i guess they will notice.. did u submit screenshots too? @Lexus thanks for confirming chrysbees: Hi everyone,
Please I need advice or clarification on the following from anyone that has been in this situation.
In the supporting documents we submitted to Sheffield over 3 weeks ago, I have just realised that the name on our Whatsapp chat logs which was exported by my wife had one of her name as can be seen on her official documents but my name as a pet name for example shortened the name from "Obinna" to "Obim" as saved on her contact.
Both of us has also used our pet names on birthday and anniversary cards that we exchanged. Please would this have an impact in the decision making as we forgot to clarify this in our support letter?
Thanks in advance as I await your responses. @Lexusgs430, @justwise and others please assist me with this. |

wow.. sorry about that.. They should have mailed your solicitor asking for the exported chats before making a decision.. MamaEEE: Talking from experience, mine was rejected... Hello Dupeer, it can be frustrating just waiting.. so u submitted online application on the 29th of April, 2019 and decision made on 17th May? that means u did priority? if its priority, decision should have been made and you should have gotten ur passport. U have to keep calling them via the designated means .. cos TLS cant help here.. Like Oga Lexus states, pls just be a bit more patient.. Dupeer12: @ Profemebee, I am in the same dilemma as you. I submitted my application on April 29, 2019 and received mail from UKVI on May 17, 2019 that decision has been taken on same. As I write, I am yet to receive notification for collection. I have exhausted all means of reaching them to ascertaining the status of my passport, all to no avail.
I seriously need an advice as to means of retrieving my passport. |
