When it comes to govt. jobs, tact is usually the best approach. While the idea of an "open letter" may seem well intended, sadly it would (most likely) do more harm than good. They don't like to be called out! Nigeria is one huge "crime scene" with the amount of corruption and acts being perpetrated. I would say follow up individually by any means available to you. (Remembering actions have consequences). So legal/legit means. It is even so ridiculous we have waited this long for a job we're uncertain of getting and have no concrete information from the recruiting organization. Ridiculous! This nairaland thread: bants, interactions, quarrels, cruise etc has been the only thing keeping the recruitment on the minds of most people. Hope is the only thing we have! HOPE! (Hopefully this is not a hopeless country)! |
Ministries rarely do any exams or interviews. APL direct. CBN keeps giving APL (never heard of any recruitment) Be thankful NCDMB even did two tests. We’re in Nigeria so nothing should surprise you. Don’t expect standards to be met and kept (only hope). And hope that with the way things happen in this country, you understand the system and make it work for you. We can complain all we want, but these people in charge of affairs benefit from the way things happen. Being street smart, having social capital and if you’re a religious person be very prayerful. #StillWaitingForNCDMB Have a beautiful weekend. |
When there is lack or absence of information from the expected source (NCDMB), there is bound to be information from multiple sources, some accurate and others not so much. NCDMB has failed in properly addressing doubts and gaps in information fed to us all regarding this recruitment. #BlameNCDMB One can only hope everything comes to a positive conclusion soon. Until then, no one who shares information with you on this platform works in HR or corporate communications at NCDMB. Take every information with a pinch of salt, but hope that there is some element of truth. That way, if it does not come to pass, you're not heartbroken or upset. |
Congratulations to everyone! |
Keep hope alive! It'd be fun to meet ya'll at the tower though. I doubt if this thread would be closed even after APL. Haha. Been fun. We've known ourselves for almost two years! We fight, banter, raise hopes, crack jokes. In the end we have a lot of things in common; the desire to be better, live better and earn better. NCDMB recruitment would favor us all God willing, irrespective of how long it's taken. Character is what defines you. Anonymous ID (on nairaland) or not, your character is always displayed. I hope we maintain the same energy in person. I hope we are all happy with what is now known as our character. |
FCC has sent list back to ES/NCDMB. Timeline isn't clear. But mails would drop soon. (APL direct is the word, you no go fit interview connected people, in that case merit people too go benefit from direct APL ). Fact: FCC clearance has expiration date (3 months) as we have all experienced already. It is expected that this recruitment would be concluded within that period or na another long thing. All the best ya'll. No need to fight or drag people who try their best to source info. A number of times they give you details as they hear it (maybe too much info. I guess.) If you work or know how government works, things no dey ever dey set in stone. Even if approval done dey, person go just hold all man hostage. Then like 2am one day: Mails go just drop! |

When they get it, they'd know now jasonex4: |
Shebi we told you people direct APL but most of ya'll said not possible ![]() |
Do you get! Lol Cassa93: |
FEC actually canceled the process but NCDMB is trying to do a workaround and complete process. Timeline is really not known. We've waited over a year, I guess we just have to keep waiting. |
LOL @ COAT! nabzguy: |
Until you get mails, it's all speculation to you and accurate information to those sharing information. |
Critical stage. Control your tempers. Everyone is frustrated at the several delays. Patience is truly a virtue. APL ready soon from every feedback so far. Hopefully nothing disrupts this. |
Like someone said. "Pinch of salt" until you get an email or your APL. It's good to be excited about good news, but from the experience we have with this recruitment, just be patient and take every information as speculation until the NCDMB verifies it by actions. Wish ya'll the best in September. |

I did this year o. NOUN. Should be done early next year. Crytoguy: |
Lol...funny thing is I don almost complete my masters...So yeah it's okay to wait, but keep busy too. Crytoguy: |
NCDMB might need analysts. Don't worry about permutations and combinations. The process would not follow any particular principle but only that determined by the numerous forces involved. ES would obviously have his input but that's what it'd be. INPUT. In the end anything NCDMB does would need approval from above (The Presidency). Pray, be hopeful e fit reach you with your low score. |
Very vague. "Very much alive", "Feedback this month" (Month is just starting o). And then they come and say disregard this and that. Without stating clearly what they mean by such vague statements or their source. Let's all just be feeding off the attention we get by passing information. Whatever they benefit from such statements (True/False) they share, is their own problem. Those who want to follow them too, fine! To each his own honestly. Andirex95: |
At this point, the only way this process picks up again is if the FCC re-approves. Question is, would the NCDMB reapply for a waiver? |
VERIFIED INFO. Everything stated here is accurate. doncity037: |
Entire process is on hold at the moment. FCC re validation + delays on the part of NCDMB led to increased interest from influential people. No movement on the recruitment for now. ON HOLD. Source: An insider. |
Smart Don't lose what would have been yours to impatience. Not all FCC commissioners have that level of connect. Stakes are high, a lot of interests and you'd ask yourself "For how many positions really?" Attahir180: |
Time to move on guys. Don't dwell on this NCDMB job. We are in June, before you know it's the end of the year. It's almost 1 year since the advert was published. Refocus your mind on your targets for the year and possibly other job openings. Do NOT let one job cloud your mind from seeing other opportunities out there. |
