Having informed you that he has sold his property and an offer to build a new apartment which you can rent, he is a good human being. Bear in mind that renting the new apartment to you is optional and can go to any tenant.

Cost of construction is high, so why upfront a couple of years rent so he can finish the house or move out if you don't accept.

If you have financial challenges then it's understandable that you need a place to live, but you are not under any contract with the new owner so a court order can put you out after 2 eviction notices and your house hold items kept at court storage at an incremental cost.

Now there's a difference between an outright scam such as dating scam, email compromise, cheque scams etc. and financial schemes like MMM, Crypto, etc.

For the outright scams, the court can easily establish that you had intention to steal money from someone all along, whereas for the financial scheme, as long as people benefitted from it, it's just a business gone bad.

So maybe if you hope to scam people in such a way, you can sit down and do the brainwork and come up with something mind-blowing. Who knows, you too could cash out like the FTX ceo.

You still don't get my point on the POS part. The POS agent doesn't need to withdraw so much money because he also accepts deposits from customers. The 20k withdrawal restriction binds on each customer and not cumulatively on the agent.
As regards the bolded, I'm sure you have other reasons asides cash requirements because fuel stations have no reasons not to accept transfers. Especially with this new policy in place.

Fuel stations will be crowded by people waiting for money to be credited before dispensing. Think about that. If fuel stations do not have network issues on POS machines there wouldn't be issues.

Your reality is different from others so don't assume erroneously. Construction sites are remote and laborers go long distances to access any semblance of cash point be it bank or etc.

I have always stored cash and fuel but will just expand the storage capacity until network issues are improved on.
