Since humans first appear on earth we have experienced some close by super novas from our own galaxy. I believe some Chinese people where the firsts to note down and record their experience of a super nova.

But your question regarding the distance of the moon is stupid because humans have sent probes around our solar system, even to the sun and humans have been on the moon. If you have questioned how they knew the distance to objects in different solar systems or galaxies that would have been a question to entertain.

For those who do not know, I used to feed off the gossip mills that ipob ran until I realised I was to inteligent to be listening to those folks. I used to jubilate at fake news from ipob like 'biafra obtains nuclear weapon(an obvious photo shop) or 'isreal cautions buhari, warns that it would attack Nigeria.) etc
I started getting annoyed with them and blocked all their pages on Watsapp and all social media and that gave me a certain degree of peace of mind.
But recently they have been coming up on the news for various crimes so I called the gate man at the lodge where I stay, an obvious ipob memeber/ supporter, and asked him 'Ebuka do you see what ipob has been doing recently and do you support this actions?'
His reply: Anything that ipob does, I support. Even if they killed my mother. Anybody that ipob kills obviously did something wrong'
When ever I try to reason with my fellow Igbo people online regarding the nusiance that ipob has become they always tell me that I am not an igbo man and that is why I decided to use the topic I used.
