Nonsense.

This training facility is what we call a National Stadium.
Go to Europe and see what we call National Stadium.

Countries with population as small as 5 to 10 million have world class and UEFA Category 4 stadia such as the Puskas Arena, Berlin Olympiastadion, Friends Arena, Millenium Park, Wembley, Aviva stadium, La Cartuja stdium etc.

It's high time we stop celebrating mediocrity.
Sports is a very big industry and nations are generating millions of dollars from it.
take ur money and build us a better one

My brothers, proud Igbo people. I am an igbo man from imo state, njaba local government, amucha town.
I used to dream about an independent state, but now I do not beacuse I believe the movement has been hijacked by illetrates and secondly because I would rather live in Nigeria all my life than see my people die for a lost cause.

My people, do you know how we usually say to northerners that they failed to root out boko haram members when the initially started out??
Well we are at that junction. It's time to start fishing out ipob members and handing them over to the Nigerian army.
If u are scared to do it , you can just call the Nigerian army and tip them off of the activities of these illetrates, please. There is only one alaigbo and their attitude yesterday has shown that they have started to become a nuisance.
I was threatened with beheading yesterday. All my life even the Fulani has never threatened me with beheading.

At least Nigeria have the balls and the capacity to host major Continental tournaments any day any time.

What major tournament have your country hosted before? Since you were born have you seen your country hosting AAG, AFCON, AWCOM or any massive continental tournament before? All you host are minor games that do not demand any massive infrastructures so keep quite.

Ordinary CHAN tournament your country couldn't host. A tournament which even regions like
Greater Accra
Ashanti Region
Central Region
Western Region in Ghana can easily host without any issues.

You sit on nairaland 24/7 repeating arguments as if your life depends on topic recycling.

Nope tatu wouldn’t have central business district, just homes and factories with a few schools.

Alaro would embody the true meaning of a functional city with a central business district for commercial, retail, high end stores and the like.however the cbd choose to come he it in skyscrapers or low density building is not an issue to me.so long as it has a city center Igor booming business activities then I am okay. Tatu is just a regular estate with a factory twist to it.
I did u the honour of logging into the site of the company that designed both alaro and tatu city.
Here is the renderings forbtatu cities CBD.

U keep on saying something like tatu city is only an estate with a couple of factories. Even tho a simple search will tell u it is multi use.
I just got information that there would even be a mall in tatu city CBD.

Here are the links read for ur self

Will tatu have a central business district?
both of them will have a central business district. Both of them have been planned by som architects.
.sadly if u are hoping that alaro city would have skyscrappers you would be disappointed big time.

That makes his business a South African. My igbo friend here who own a restraunt here in France - that business is not Nigerian - it very small smiley though.
chagoury does not have UAE citizenship. The nova owner also does not have south African citizenship I understand where u are coming form tho.
The nova pioneers stuff is registered as a south African. Business .

Now you're splitting Kenyans into races and nationalities of ancestry. Nova is kenyan and South African (Nigerian is a south african business man). The same with others.
nova pioneers is owned by an igbo man from arochukwu very close to where I come from.

Noo I'm not dividing Kenyans into racesi just wanted to give more information about the man. infact I bet u didn't know that eko Atlantic is spearheaded by a Nigerian of Lebanese ancestry, the chagouries.

He is not less Nigerian.

Youre objective. If you actually study Alaro - most of the investment it has attracted are from Kenya companies - who know about Tatu city and Rendevour.

Universal homes - recently completed and sold out 1000 units in Tatu. They are on phase 2.

So Alaro is just little Kenya...but they should be aware that Nigeria is a tough place to do business.
false!!!
Yes some companies have been carried along from rendevours partnership from Kenya to Nigeria.

In alaro the only Kenyan investment is Ariel foods owned by an Indian Kenyan. While at tatu the nova pioneer schools are owned by a Nigerian.
Unity homes is new Zealand/ british.

Majority of the companies alaro have woed are Nigerian eg rungas, starium, Omar, harbour point, varlient, Sana industries, most of them are Nigeria.

lol ur tatu started since 2013 and it’s a shame that u only have two schools,a stretch of road,2 tiny estate to show for it. FYI Alaro that started in the last quarter (actually December ending)of 2019 has done more job than the dead hope Konza admist all the COVID drama-already universal home has started doing their thing over there. And to tell u this is a serious city not that single lanes estate u have in Nairobi-check the wide expressway that would run throughout out the city. Ur konza isn’t planning to hit the level by 2050.
stop telling lies.
Firstly this road is the border between Lagos and ondo.
The reason why alaro has posted it here which u have intentionally cropped out, is cuz the road stretches all the way to epe where it connects with lekki free trade zone where alaro is located.

2ndly universal homes has not kicked off construction.
Alaro city has not done more work than konza city.
Konza cities horizontal infrastructure is nearly complete..the only roads at alaro is the two lane boulevard that stresses a few meters.

Alaro, Tatu and Apolonia are all by the same developer - Russian Rendeavour - part of Moscow's Renaissance Capital. Only Tatu city seems to be going on well. Alaro and Apolonia are not doing well. Tatu city 2,500 is already all sold out. Now they are selling the next 2,500.
actually alaro city is going too well.
Tatu city started about 2014 with over 60 companies penned down and about 20 have already constructed.

Alaro started 2019 over 40 penned down and about 4 being constructed. Appolonia not doing to well industrially, but they have cheap housing and data collection center.

Nonsense!!! U can’t compare Alaro with Tati-go check again ,alaro is a mixed used development compriof a business district, residential, retail services,hospitals-basically e wey single thing u get in a functioning city- Tatu on the other hand is just a mere housing estate with a few factories.shikena.
tatu city and alaro city are one and the same.
Infact the people in charge of alaro had to travel to tatu city to copy the model and replicate it over here.
U might say that alaro has an overall edge of being located at the lekki free trade zone.
Everything u mentioned about alaro city is what tatu also is. Infact is so similar that some companies have same thing planned in the two cities. Companies such as universal homes, Ariel food, nova pioneer etc

And it's fucking perfect.

Mehn I'm really more interested with satellite cities such as alaro and tatu city. Huge fan of the work that has been done at tatu.
Alaro city is also going the same way, but it's hard to get videos or photos from the site on the internet unlike at tatu where the team has a drone and lots of quality camera.

I did some diging and this are what I found.
Ariel foods
Kenol
Hmd have built or almost finished their factories.
With lots more like rungas etc about to start.

lol. This can happen to anyone na grin.

It doesn't have to with who was born abroad and home. Even players born at home will do the same thing. Or was it only the exact 14 players that did it? Even you will do the same thing. Logically, If you were given costly souvenirs will you throw them away to pack uniforms you have already worn?

The only problem here was that they didn't think it through. Small issues like this can make some people very annoyed. Actually, many FB players who play for Nigeria have Nigeria in their heart. Even those who rejected. The thing is that when you have bigger opportunities around you. It's difficult turning it down. If you are a talented executive with great potential, and you have two offers to be CEO of FirstBank or JP Morgan, which one will you choose? wink
there where 15 players in the team 14 of them born in America did it only the one born and raised in Mexico took her Jersey back and she has posted a picture of the jerseys

Mr. Amaju Pinnick made a statement on Shola Shoretire playing for Nigeria.

"I spoke with his parents and they gave me their words that he will play for Nigeria. He hasn't represented at any level so it was a straight forward decision. He was pencilled down for the U20 Afcon qualifiers. Even if we did the World cup was later cancelled due to Coronavirus.

That said I know how excited he was when he was told about representing Nigeria. No hassles over waiting for . He wanted us badly but now we have to wait and see. He is now on the spotlight".
Mexicans are left feeling ashamed after there soft ball federation in an attempt to glory hunt, invited 14 USA born players who have never been to Mexico, don't speak Spanish into their team and left proud Mexicans whose only dream was to represent Mexico and nobody else.
Now fast forward after the tournament the players trew away the uniforms and flags they were given into the trash in other to make space in their bags for free stuffs they got from the Olympics such as bedspread.
Now the news has made all major news sites and the Mexicans feeling so ashamed and coursing out their federation for choosing the easy way out instead of focusing on developing the game in Mexico(inviting people who didn't know jack shit about what being Mexican felt like to represent them.)
I can't wait for this to happen to Nigeria, let's see if we can get some national pride and try to develope the game at home instead of waiting around like a vulture to take unwanted players from this 1st world countries.
