We have seen on NL here. How so many HR managers/executive come to give advice on how to write a CV and prepare for an interview in order to get a job.

These same HR are the people who recruit employees based on subjective criteria such as man know man, Abuja connection, brown envelope, long leggism and other means of subjective recruitment.

Before I continue, sm NL members would say learn a skill and I ask them with which money? I have been to interviews and aptitude tests and I discovered that most start-ups recruit on merit at entry level because they don't pay well but most big firms don't employ on merit at entry level. The funniest thing, their special candidate attends the interview/test with other candidates that apply to fulfill all righteousness.

What's the hope of that women who sold Akara to send her child to school? What's the hope of that carpenter who sent his child to school?

Enough of the how to write CV seminars and start recruiting the right way. You even put 2 years experience for 3months internship role. If someone did not give you a chance to prove yourself would you be where you are today?

Before you come for me I am a social media marketer and a sports editor/writer. Even if you learn a skill you might be employed by someone also, not everyone who has a skill is an entrepreneur.

Ahmad had on Tuesday listed the creation of 40,000 email addresses for government officials as part of the president's achievement.

In reaction, the Bayelsa state senator said "No matter how you spin it, the creation of 40,000 email addresses is not an achievement. Why are these people doing this to President Muhammadu Buhari? A total of 335 foreign nationals were on Tuesday in Abuja granted citizenship by the Federal Government after statutory clearance and due diligence by the relevant security agencies.‎

‎The Minister of Interior, retired Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau,‎ who presented the certificates of citizenship to the foreigners, charged them to be good ambassadors of Nigeria.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that Mrs Lara Oshiomhole, Wife of former Governor of Edo, Adams Oshiomole‎, who is from Cape Verde, is one of the recipients.

Dambazau in his remarks said that 335 applicants were approved by the Federal Executive Council (FEC) in January, out of the over 500 foreigners that applied.

He explained that 245 of the foreigners approved were granted Citizenship by‎ Naturalisation while 90 were by Registration, mainly foreign women married to Nigerians.

“Let me say that application for the Citizenship of Nigeria which can be by Naturalisation or Registration is provided for in Chapter 3, Sections 26 and 27 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,’’ the minister explained.

The minister said that the approval was part of government’s effort on the “Ease of doing business in Nigeria” and boosting Nigeria’s image in line with international best practice.

He tasked the “new Nigerian citizens” to be of good conduct, respect the rights and customs of their communities and contribute to the development of Nigeria.

Damabazau said the last time such ceremony was conducted was in December, 2013 and pledged to ensure its sustenance on an annual basis for proper scrutiny.

Dr Lamabert Shumbusho, from Rwanda, who responded on behalf of the recipients, thanked the Federal Government and pledged their loyalty and commitment to the development of Nigeria.

NAN reports other recipients include nationals from Lebanon, Syria, Pakistan, China and some African countries, most of whom are business moguls who have been operating in Nigeria for years.

The Ministry of Interior and the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) are charged with the responsibility of processing applications for Naturalisation from foreign nationals who have stayed/lived in Nigeria for a minimum of 15 years and those by Registration who are mainly married to Nigerians. From teenage upward, you will have a strong desire for sex. It’s a sure sign you are normal and capable of having and enjoying sex in marriage. In your 20s it will be stronger and intense! You may wake up feeling sexually aroused and your sexual organ will stand erect for some minutes for no single reason in the world or you become sexually aroused on seeing a curvy lady! You may start noticing shapes and curves and you have to shake your head several times to keep the image off. You may get sexually aroused on watching a romantic movie and discharge something. You check up and discover you are wet. All these are normal, you haven’t committed any sin.

So what then do you do when you get hot and Hot? Have sex? I know you know my answer and some singles will never be caught dead sleeping around, so what do they do? They masturbate! They give themselves release and personal pleasure through solo sex while claiming ‘virginity’ at the same time. Masturbation is completely wrong and not the way out. Let me explain:

1. Masturbation is not done in isolation. It is done with the IMAGE of SOMEONE in mind. It can be a lover, an EX, a celebrity, a married person, a crush, someone you like but incapable of having. You imagine having sex with them while masturbating. That is MENTAL FORNICATION

2. For ladies, while inserting all manner of objects, you may mistakenly deflower yourself and also introduce infection into your genitals and womb. It will be very difficult to convince your future partner that you never had sex with man except objects during your solo sex.

3. You kill your ability to enjoy sex in future. Millions of women don’t enjoy sex in marriage which leads to sexual frustration, adultery, lesbianism and feminism. If you are used to getting orgasm by yourself, you won’t be able to get it from your husband. If you are used to objects in your private part, you won’t have feelings for your husband’s sexual-organ. You will always think of something harder, bigger, longer, larger and completely unrealistic! Women who complain their husbands’ sexual organ is too small didn’t marry as virgins. They must have been promiscuous as singles by masturbation or having several sexual partners.

4. You will not have a good sex life as a man. You will experience pre-mature ejaculation and your wife won’t enjoy you leading to acute sexual frustration in marriage. You need self-control to fully enjoy sex and give your wife maximum sexual pleasure. A woman enjoys sex when the man can go on for at least 7 minutes before ejaculating. Because you are used to instant release from masturbation, you may not be able to go more than a minute before exploding leaving your wife completely unsatisfied and frustrated. She may close up, become frigid and stop having sex altogether which may lead to you having an affair, she having an affair or both of you having an affair. Self-control before marriage helps you enjoy sex to the maximum after wedlock. You are able to delay ejaculation, go on for a long time and have excellent orgasm while giving your wife pleasure too. That is why total virginity pays!

5. If you do not suffer premature ejaculation, you may have serious problem with delayed/ slow ejaculation. A situation where you get erection for several hours without ejaculation or orgasm. What is the benefit of sex without orgasm? Rough masturbation with your hands kills your ability to feel/enjoy sex with your wife. It is hell for a woman to be under a man who thrusts in for hours unable to ejaculate. How will the woman get pregnant? It’s the reason some women are seemingly “barren” and can’t talk to anybody out of embarrassment. Thrusting hard for so long leaves the woman sore, frustrated and hating sex altogether. You have so much to lose sexually when you masturbate. 6. You start having sex in the dream with a known or unknown person (demonic entities otherwise known as spiritual spouse).

7. You feel drained, dirty, empty, useless and powerless after each act.

8. You start getting unsatisfied and begins to desire the real thing. You fantasize more about sex and start longing for the real act.

9. You get a warped view of the opposite sex. You see them as sexual objects and start having sex with anything in skirt or trousers -you become promiscuous.

10. You get damaged, hurt and broken.

11. You are at risk of hell fire!

These and more are the consequences of masturbation. They damage you and shatter you to pieces! What then should you do with your sexual urge? How do you handle the constant hunger for sex?

DELETE all dirty pictures, pornography videos, sexually provocative e-books, pictures and hot, romantic movies/novels/magazines/clothes/objects in your phones/laptops/room-walls, in your room/bags/school-lockers with the CONFIDENT BELIEVE IN THE HOLY SPIRIT PRESENCE CUURENTLY IN YOUR LIFE NOW -they are powerful sexual triggers!

2. DISCONNECT your SELF from friends who say dirty, sexually provocative and immoral things/chats/text-messages AS A MATTER OF URGENCY BECAUSE THE HOLY SPIRIT COMMANDED YOU TO DO SO! Stop all sexy banters with friends (you are sexy/hot, am I not sexy/hot?, you are slaying e.t.c) and say only things that are pure, holy, needful and helpful {Phil.4:8}

3. Get busy with your life, education and career, there is more to life than sex.

4. Transmute your sexual energy: Channel your sexual energy into something great. I had a strong sex drive in the institution. I simply channeled them into my education making me the best student in my department from the second year. I was very excited and energetic. I BURNT the ENERGY on my STUDIES. I also started my ministry and was very committed as my fellowship BIBLE STUDY CO-ORDINATOR. If you don’t BURN that ENERGY, YOU will COMMIT FORNICATION/ADULTERY/LESBIANISM/HOMOSEXUALITY/INCEST/BESTIALITY.

5. Study THE WORD A LOT especially PSALM 119. When you are FILLED with THE WORD, you have NO SPACE for the devil and his demons in YOUR heart.

6. Pray and speak in TONGUES ALWAYS. THE HOLY SPIRIT SANCTIFIES YOUR WHOLE BEING {SPIRIT, SOUL & BODY} CONSISTENTLY THROUGH HIS LANGUAGE FLOWING FROM INSIDE YOU TO YOUR OUTSIDE

7. Make friends with GODLY people.

8. DELETE pornography and romantic movies.

9. Get busy in THE SERVICE OF JESUS CHRIST KINGDOM.

Ebonyi State governor and chairman, South East Governors’ forum, David Umahi, yesterday said he and his supporters will not vote along party lines in 2019 general election.


Umahi, who is currently a governor on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), ruled out the possibility of him voting the party’s candidate come 2019.


He said the state would vote for a presidential candidate that would help develop the state irrespective of his or her political affiliation.


According to him, the state will not play politics of sentiments in the 2019 presidential election.
Mr. Umahi spoke at the government house, Abakaliki, during a meeting with traditional rulers and town union presidents in the state.


“When it comes to presidency, we no dey do party,” he said. “It is the man that will help us to develop this state, that’s the man we will support. But for governorship, national assembly and state assembly don’t go there. Nobody will touch it. for presidency, we will negotiate, we will like the person to discuss with our traditional rulers as stakeholders.”


Mr. Umahi’s party, PDP, is Nigeria’s largest opposition party, although it led the country for 16 years: 1999-2016.

Although it is currently factionalised, the PDP, or whatever it transforms to become, is expected to be the main challenger to Nigeria’s ruling APC in the 2019 presidential elections.

Mr. Umahi’s statement, in a state traditionally considered a PDP state, may indicate the party will have a lot to do if it wants to win the 2019 elections.
The governor, who called on the traditional rulers to mobilise residents for Saturday’s local government and councillorship elections, noted that the state was targeting one million voters in the election.


“As traditional rulers, we cannot tell you to vote for this party or that party but you have the responsibility to knack the gong and make it compulsory that nobody goes to market, nobody goes to farm on the election day.


“You have to go and knack the gong and you have powers and authority to do that. In the north, it is the traditional rulers that determine the course of politics and I will give you people that role. So, don’t shy away from politics for the peace of Ebonyi state

The General Superintendent Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor led other officers to Evangel House in Enugu on Wednesday evening to take over the church’s national secretariat from the former General Superintendent, Rev. Paul Emeka. According to reports, Emeka refused to vacate his office in the secretariat, and continued to parade himself as General Superintendent, after his removal by the church’s General Council on March 6, 2014.

Initial attempts by the new General Superintendent of the church, Rev. Paul Okoroafor, and other leaders of the church, to recover the national secretariat were thwarted by Emeka, who again went to court to insist that he was the church’s leader.

Violence was, however, averted as the police cordoned off the streets around the secretariat, after arresting some of Emeka’s loyalists. The arrested persons, were led away in handcuffs, included a woman.

University of Nigeria Nsukka campus has Yesterday(22/03/2017) witnessed what turned out to be a sad event. A student was shot dead at Hiltop, a location notorious for criminal activities in the school.
The dead student has been identified as Emmanuel Joseph aka Big Joe, a third year student of Political science.

Some have attributed the cause of the incident to a cult clash, but this is yet to be ascertained as, at the time of this report, no official statement has been released by the school authorities concerning the incident yet.

There has also been reports of shootings going on around Hilltop. Residents are adviced to be cautious and stay indoors to allow the security agents handle the situation.

I remember getting an invite to attend Queen Ayo Balogun son's wedding (#jjginger17) some weeks back. At that time, I had wanted to shoot the first video for my YouTube channel #partymomentswithhelen and I was so excited. After interviewing a few vendors/guests during the reception, I walked up to Nollywood actresses, Iyabo Ojo and Fathia Williams and requested for an interview. Faithia politely told me she doesn't grant interviews at parties (I bet she would have agreed if it were Ovation TV or Goldmynetv). Anyway, I was glad she wasn't rude to me. Meanwhile, it was my second time talking to her; First time was at BON Awards where she allowed me take a picture of her at the event and I had just started blogging then. Iyabo Ojo on the other hand, looked at me, collected my branded jotter where I had written my interview questions, she went through it, handed it over to me and turned her face away. This same Iyabo Ojo that I introduced myself to as a blogger in 2011 and she said 'pls what is a blog' I explained what a blog is, to her. I laugh anytime I remember what happened.
Truth is, at some point in your career, some people will treat you nice while others won't. Some will help you instantly just because they love your personality while you will chase and chase some people just to get something from them. Always remember that, It is your duty to keep pushing and never give up because you are responsible for whatever you make out of your life'.
