A former Minister of State for Education, Chief Kenneth Gbagi, has called on the President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki, to step down.

He said the trial of the Senate president by the Code of Conduct Tribunal has put a question mark on his integrity to lead the upper legislate chamber.

Gbagi said with what is going on, there was no way Nigerians and the international community would respect motions and bills that would emanate from the Senate under the leadership of Saraki.

The former minister spoke with some journalists in Abuja on Wednesday.

He said the trial of Saraki by the CCT was enough reason for the former governor of Kwara State to step down and allow another person mount the saddle of leadership of the Senate.

He said, “We have a problem in Nigeria where we don’t have people of honor, dignity and integrity as leaders.

“The mere fact that the Senate President is undergoing criminal trial is an indication that he has no business being a Senate president living with tax payers’ money.

“First, Nigerians will not have faith in anything that comes out of his Senate that is chaired or presented by that kind of person.

“Again, the entire international community will not believe in the passage of any Bill or motion under his leadership.

“So if you ask me, that is the end of him. He is gone. And like several other government where you think you get in and it will be business as usual, it is not true.”

He regretted that Saraki would not learn from advanced counties where someone like him, who is undergoing such trial, would have resigned from office.

He said this was one of the reasons why countries like the United State of America is still being respected.

This topic has made frontpage before and here's the post of a moniker and that post sticked to my brain since then and i dont think i can ever forget as i gave it to a friend and it worked for her..

Here's the moniker response..


Whenever hubby is yelling, saying, we've to do it this way, that way and she doesnt want it that way.. She'll allow him to yell, say all whatever he wants to say and not utter a word.

Later, when he's calm.. I have been in a serious relationship with this girl for two years now. i asked her where she was last nite when we were chatting but she didn't reply me.
She left whatsapp after reading the message and then she switched off her two phones. Efforts to called her was unproductive. Instantly, my instincts told me something was wrong somewhere. I called her girl friend if she was with her and she said 'no'.
finally, i went to her house to check if she was at home around 11:30 pm but to my greatest surprise, her room was locked up. I went home but couldn't sleep all through the nite. This morning around 6:am, she messaged me on whatsapp that she was at home and that she is very sorry for not replying my message. I sprang up from the bed and went to her house immediately but on getting to her house, i found out that her room was still locked.

She later came home around 7:30 am and met me on her door post. We went inside the room and i asked her where she was coming from; after series of lies, she later opened up that she spent the nite at a friend's house(male) whom she visited the previous evening. She started crying that i should forgive her that nothing(s*x) happened between them during the nite.

I told her it was over between us and i warned her never to contact me again. Lo, on leaving the room, she brought out her kitchen knife that she was going to kill her self since i 've broke up wit her.. after some moment of dragging, i was able to resusciate the knife from her and i told her i wasn't leaving her any more.. This girl is very serious about killing her self if i leave her and i love her very much; but the thought of her sleeping in another man's house is driving me crazy. What should i do?

AFTERMATH OF REALITY RADIO/TV TALK SHOW, Ag. IGP ARASE RESTORES OFFICER’S SALARY TWO YEARS AFTER REMOVAL FROM PAYROLL.

The Inspector-General of Police, Ag. IGP Solomon Arase, NPM, fdc, this morning directed the restoration of salaries due to F/No. 09527 W/Sgt Ajuma Ibrahim attached to Lagos State Command with immediate effect, including payment of all arrears. The Sergeant had been sick for some time.

This issue was brought to light when ‘Brekete Family’ a Reality Radio/TV Talk Show during today’s edition made a live phone call to Ag. IGP Arase to intimate him about the plight of the police officer whose salaries have not been paid since June 2013. The IGP invited the Talk Show Crew to his office. After due briefing from the Budget office of the Force, it was discovered that the subject’s inability to fill the required emolument forms and processing the same in compliance to extant regulations led to the salary predicament.

The IGP immediately ordered the resolution of all the issues and restoration of her salary. He also directed the transfer of the subject from Lagos State Police Command to Force Headquarters Abuja and directed the Force Medical Officer to ensure she gets urgent access to needed and required medical attention.

The IGP again assured the Public that the Nigeria Police Force is responsive and responsible and that reported issues of neglect in personnel welfare as well as cases of injustice to members of the public would be promptly addressed.
