Read this and see what is happening. So many widows are not not just by natural death of husbands. What can N3.5m afford you? Hmmmmmm....maka 3.5m only?Ka madu ji egbu di ya? Men y'all needs to be careful! Some widowhood bukwa self inflicted!! I was added to a secret watsapp group some months back. This lady explained what d group stands for and I liked the idea. It was about women supporting women.. And u all know it has been my mantra. So I agreed to be added. We were just 102 in d group and it was bubbling with activities... If u miss opening the group for 1hr, u will be met with more than 200 unread messages. I didn't have time to be going through chats all the time. So at night before I sleep, I just read through... A week after, I noticed a huge amount of money had been given as support to a lady who lost her husband to start her life. I'm talking about 3.5M I was pleased. This is really 'women helping women' . Not too long another member lost her husban. Chai it was too much for the group. 2people almost same month... 3.5M was also donated.. My sisters.. Within 3months of my joining that group, 6ladies lost their husbands. Then for like 3days,i didn't open the group because of time. I have been very busy. One evening, I decided to just read up before sleeping... Omoh, there was chaos in d group. A lady was complaining wen it will be her turn to benefit like other women as she was told before joining.. Another lady responded "Wen u are ready to sacrifice ur husband, u get ur 3.5M Mogbe!! Did I read well? ♀️♀️♀️♀️♀️ Omoh, I had to chat the lady who hinted me about the group . " Madam, what's happening in d group"? No response.. "What's this gist of sacrificing people's husbands"? No response.. She read and ignored. Then I changed strategy.. "Omoh, give me update oh!! No chop alone oh!! Mek i chop 3.5 M too na. Watever it is to get this money, I'm game" She responded " U mean am"? I said "yes" "U wey love ur GM pass ur life.. U fit?" "I go fit if u explain" Then she divulged She said u must be a widow to benefit from the group. That it's a NGO that supports widows So some desperate ladies who need the money by all means are doing the unimaginable ♀️♀️♀️♀️♀️ I doubt this though.. It seemed like a cult to me. Cos dey have a slogan that dey use before saying anything in d group . So for 3.5 M I will now miss my daily babzbzbzbzbsbssb Truthfully, I don't have such amount.. Sincerely, I need money.. But I'm ready to hustle and make it. Men, be careful oh!! Things are happening in dis country... Women are doing anything for the 'mula' I left the group, blocked her on watsapp, on my contact list and on all social media platforms.... JUST BE CAREFUL... |

God1000:How will you see anything wrong with. All these children of nowadays. Anybody that sees nothing wrong with that either does not have responsible parents that instilled discipline in them while growing up or the person refused to take training from the parent. Another reason may be a child that grew up in the street without parents and decided to grow up among street urchins. I can't even stand dat way before my elder brother in an official gathering. Can only managed to do that if we are playing together. |
Very anyhow shameless family. She's even proud to announce it through Tik Tok. May God never allow me and my generation have anything to do with such family. |

Halo22:The best advise is the one u give to yourself. He who wears the shoes, knows where it pinches. The second advise from me will be, for the period you will be there, don't be confrontational to your boss. Who knows in the future, your next employer may do background check and the Director or ur HR will give bad recommendations about you. Finally, when you came for this employment in that company, you came alone. Stop bn the mouthpiece of other employees. Those people you are defending will still be the same people that will betray you before the same Management you are fighting. Be cautious. Leave if you think you are dissatisfied. |

Blessedmercy8:How much are you earning yourself? Or are you coming with loads of problems to heap it on somebody's son. |
UrProguy:I said it that I wouldn't be surprised if you still didn't understand it after my explanation. Comprehension seems to be a big challenge to u. If you had read this part very well with little understanding, you would have bn able to connect it with the part u are crying about. He was diabetic and hypertensive. Most artistes don't like to disclose their health challenge and his son is of the opinion that if Oliver had told people about his health challenge, he would have gotten help quickly. |
UrProguy:You found it funny cos you have problem with comprehension especially when it comes to understanding figurative statement. Let me help u a bit. He mean that if the man had opened up to his people even close friends, there are many that would've offered to help to save his life. Some will bring medical advise. Others will bring money and other resources that would've made him manage the condition longer than just dying like that. I wouldn't be surprised if you still don't understand this. |

The same FG through the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige that mocked the doctors and told them to leave if they want that the FG will never beg them. He said that Nigeria has enough doctors. Meanwhile, this is someone that is a medical doctor talking down on his colleagues and the profession he spent years on. https://guardian.ng/news/doctors-can-leave-nigeria-has-enough-says-ngige/

Buharidgeneral:Some people and wack brain. So, a history becomes irrelevant when they are not current. A history should be thrown away as soon as it comes and goes? You need to do better. Oya tell us the current news of the man. |
Roger3D:Matthew 22:10-15 10 So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, the bad as well as the good, and the wedding hall was filled with guests. 11 “But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. 12 He asked, ‘How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?’ The man was speechless. 13 “Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ 14 “For many are invited, but few are chosen.” I don't know if this passage of the Holy Bible helped in throwing light into your question. |
How OLIVER DE COQUE's most kept secret took him to an early grave as told by his son. (April 14, 1947 - June 20, 2008. Age: 61) HIS NAME, HIS MUSIC & HIS LIFESTYLE Chief Dr. Oliver Sunday Akanite popularly known as Oliver De Coque was a Nigerian highlife musician and guitarist who has more than 50 albums to his credit and whose career lasted over 4 decades, making him one of the most popular highlife kings in Africa. Oliver and his music band group, 'Ogene Sound Super of Africa' blended modern highlife and traditional Igbo music. The music star had 12 kids; 7 boys and 5 girls and they all enjoyed their father's presence. "It was awesome. My siblings and I didn't see him as a famous person. He was a normal, caring, jovial and loving dad to us," Darlington Akanite, one of his sons disclosed. While growing up, Oliver was popularly called, 'The Game Master' because he was good at the game of Draft. Draft in Igbo language is 'Okwe.' So, People began to call him 'Oliver Di ka Okwe.' He then changed the name to sound more like a French name; that was how he came up with, 'Oliver De Coque.' HIS SIGNATURE LOOK He loved to buy clothes and spent a lot of money maintaining his looks. Infact, he spent #30,000 on his beard weekly and that amounted to #120,000 monthly. He visited his Salon twice a week and always said his beard was his Signature look. He said that if someone decided to keep a beard, it was right to maintain it. HIS SICKNESS & HOW HE DIED He fell ill at the end of 2007. He was diabetic and hypertensive. Most artistes don't like to disclose their health challenge and his son is of the opinion that if Oliver had told people about his health challenge, he would have gotten help quickly. "He was ill for three months. He then recovered in February 2008 and began to go for shows. He died on June 20 but he had planned to travel to the U.S on July 2 for checkup," Darlington added. He went further to tell the press that it was as if his father knew he was going to die because on the day he died, he decided to stay indoors. "And he told me to stay by his side." "That morning after he had his brekfast, he began to feel ill and cancelled his appointments for the day. I didn't know it was a serious matter; all I could do was to console him. I went to the bathroom to take a shower and then told him that I wanted to visit a few friends but he begged me not to leave his side and I became upset. I thought he was just depriving me of having fun. I grudgingly stayed back." While Darlington stayed with him, he began to tell him how he started his career. As he was telling the story, he complained of not breathing well. Oliver then decided that he should be taken to the hospital. On their way to the hospital, he told the driver to increase the air-condition that he was feeling hot. His son became scared when he started to shout, "Wheelbarrow! Wheelbarrow! Darlington, please bring a Wheelbarrow." It was after his death, Darlington who wondered what was happening realised that the highlife maestro was referring to a WheelChair not actually a Wheelbarrow. "I think he was becoming paralysed and unconscious. He was rushed to the emergency ward when we got to the hospital. And throughout his time in the hospital, he kept begging me to save him but there was nothing I could have done," the Son said. He held Darlington's hand close to his side as he took his last breathe. His son closed his eyes and kissed him on the forehead. "I was so confused about all that happened." LESSON His son believes that more than 200 Igbo people would have laid their lives down for him if he had made his health condition public. He's gone leaving behind a vacuum but he's taught the entire family a lesson that whenever one is facing a challenge, one shouldn't keep quiet about it. "I want people to learn from his death."

Igbo History THE ANCIENT FEMINISM OF OLD IGBO TRADITION (The Female POPES of IGBO Ethnic Group) THE QUESTION A child belongs to his fatherland and not his motherland; and yet, we say 'NNEKA' - 'Mother is Supreme.' Why is that?' (Things Fall Apart - pg 106) I was born in the eastern part of Nigeria, Igbo Tribe. It does not in any way represent the whole Africa, but allow me to tell you about my forefathers and the place of a woman in the ancient Igbo tradition and custom. One of the biggest lies in the world's history is the record that claimed that women were objectized in Igbo Land. There is no truth in it. In as much as Igbos - like every patriarchal society of the old - prefered male children, their daughters were their pride. A woman perpetually belongs to her father's house. It is called 'Okputolokpu' - everlasting, that is why every Igbo community calls grown daughters born in a family - Umu okpu. This explains why a man can never finish the marital rites of a woman in Igbo land. During bride price, no Igbo community would accept everything offered as dowry. The reason is that the woman is priceless. That is why, in Igbo tradition and custom, when a man beats his wife, the wife can return to his father's house. It is not a taboo, and before the husband can take the woman he MUST -according to the tradition - go to his in-laws with a pot/bottle of wine. NO ONE IN HISTORY HAS EVER FINISHED PAYING THE DOWRY OF AN IGBO WOMAN FOR SHE IS PRICELESS One of my oldest relative had only sons and no daughters; he normally said to his sons, 'You do not have a sibling yet.' In the Igbo ethnic group, a child belongs to the fatherland but is referred to as the child of the mother. The term 'Siblings' is generally known as 'Nwanne' (trans. the child of my mother because men were polygamous, the children of your mother are your siblings). A male sibling is 'Nwanne m Nwoke' (The male child of my mother) A female sibling is 'Nwanne m Nwanyi' (The female child of my mother). That is why the people of Igbo Ethnic group practise what is known till this day as 'Nwadiana' (meaning The Child of the Soil) NWADIANA 'Your' Nwadianas are the children whose mothers were married from your family. Example: My sister's children are my Nwadianas. In Igbo custom, I am their Nna Ochie - ancient fathers. I represent their most reliable protector. No matter what they do - I repeat, no matter what they do, once they come to me, I must protect them. They have rights in my family. If they were ostracized in their fatherland, they can come to me and I must share with them our inheritance. This is a tradition that lives in Igbo Land till today. Like the most tradition of the old, women were not entitled to the possessions of their fathers, but in Igbo land, once a woman is married to a house, she inherits her hut (Mkpuke Nne - the hut of the mother) which she has the power over. It is customary for her to give 'Mkpuke Nne' to her last son, and neither the man of the house nor any of the brothers can influence that. Moreover, when an Igbo man took a wife and did not reproduce before his death, his widow would inherit all his possession as long as she stayed back in his dead husband's house and gave birth to children. Those children would bear the dead man surname; and if a man died without an heir but had daughters, one of the daughters would become his heir, and reproduce in his house. The daughter's children would carry the family's name. Obiechina is the term that means 'A Lineage would not Terminate'. It is the duty of the male child and the female child also. (Ref: The Joy of Motherhood: Buchi Emecheta) Though this practice is dying, the corpse of every Igbo daughter was always buried in her fatherland, not in her husband's house. There was a popular saying in the days of our youth - 'Ozu Nwada adighi ato na mba' (the corpse of the daughter cannot be trapped in a strange land). Igbos till today practice extended system of communalism, and the strongest unit in every family is the Umuada - the daughters. They participate in dispute resolutions, they were/are a part of the customary judicial system, and they are the owners of the dead. Till today, if you bury anyone in a family and Umuada - the daughters were not satisfied, you must repeat the burial or appease them. THE FEMALE POPES Of all things observed by men of old, Religion is the greatest, and Igbo tribe had no Kings. Igbos were completely loyal to the gods. In the Igbo theology, spirituality has only five aspects: Chukwu - the supreme. Anyanwu - the revealer of everything. Symbol of omniscience. Agbala - the fertility of the Earth, the fertility of the people, and the spirituality. Chi - a sub-deity Okike - the creator of laws that governs the visible and invisible. Because AGBALA represents Harvest, the fertility of the womb, and high spirituality, it served as the Supreme aspect of God on the earth. Men till today totally depended on Harvest and fertility, so Agbala was the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH of the ancient Igbos, and women were the POPES. (In Chinua Achebe's book,'Things Fall Apart', two Popes were mentioned - Pope Chika: the Priestess that reigned in the time of Uloka, Okonkwo's father; and Pope Chielo: the Priestess that warned Okonkwo not to speak while she spoke.) Just to make this post short as possible, I would have touched how judgements were passed, the position of a woman that got pregnant in her father's house (Ime Mkpuke), the case of the unmarried woman, and what happens when a woman did not like her marriage. All these are indicators on how women were treated in the Igbo land - old and present. Women may not be the head of the house, but the family depended on them - the term 'Nwa Nne' means that the children belongs to the mother; and the Almighty aspect of God, Agbala, chose women over men. Every clan revered Agbala, and her priestess were feared. So, I can say that we did not have a system that banned women from heading the clan. The only reason we do not allow Igbo women as Bishops and Cardinals today is because the new creed forbids it. ************************************** THE QUESTION: A child belongs to his fatherland and not his motherland; and yet, we say Nneka - 'Mother is Supreme.' Why is that? THE ANSWER: 'It is true that a child belongs to its father. But when a father beats his child, it seeks sympathy in its mother's hut. A child belongs to his father when things are good and life is sweet. But when there is bitterness, he finds refuge in his motherland. That is why we say 'NNEKA' - mother is supreme.' Why is everyone mad in Lagos? |
Soulflai:It is really a hard situation. Can be heartbreaking. I think the major work need to be done by ur wife and not her Ex. I don't think you need to go fighting with the Ex unless you just wanna talk to him as man to man to let ur wife be. Apart from that, you don't need to be calling him. You need to talk sense into ur wife and let her understand hw broken she makes u feel. Let her see the hole she is creating on the film of your trust on her. Give her a little time to see hw she can change. Some people don't make changes until something serious happened to them. Now you have discovered her secret, I believe she may change. May God heal you guys and the marriage. |
