Don't mind that guy jare! He's mistakening Yoruba's Hospitality for weakness.

Simplicity is not stupidity.

The slow movement of a Lion is not a sign of weakness or cowardy.

Forget that guy jare. All these people he counted are taking yoruba land from yoruba, why them no stay their region if their region good? Why igbo no do business for Anambara? Mtcheeew! Its the same thing people gets Visa and buy ticket to travel abroad. All of you are running to Yoruba land, Small London in Nigeria and u'r talking trash here,

Don't worry, we'l soon introduce Visa's for people coming to South/West states and we'l impose a visa Bound of £3,000.. That way you'l know Yoruba's are not Playing.

Dont mind him, he is just playing "Politics of the Gullible"! grin

Starting as far back as the Shagari regime (1979), IBB regimes, Abacha/Abdulsalami and Obachonjo double regimes, ... all gave him the sole right and import license (with MONOPOLY to boot), to be the sole importer of most essential commodities like Vegetable Oil, Sugar, Flour, Salt, Cement for 160-Million citizens in west Africa's largest economy, even if he was a dumb-ass fool, he would still be the richest man in Africa.

Its all about "opportunities and using your politival connections to tip the level playing field IN YOUR FAVOR" now.
In advanced countries, you go to jail for "anti-competitive/monopoly/price-fixing practices like this"
Is it anybody'e wonder that we still pay one of the highest, extortionist prices for those essential commodities he has a monopoly over?

I dont envy him just like l dont envy anyone but please, dont play to the gallery and take us for mugun.
In Nigeria, your opportunity comes if you move in the right political circles....and its up to you to take them.

Dangote took his own and has been taking them since then. wink

Lastpage!
Walahi I'm disappointed in Dangote. Dangote is my man ooo but he shouldn't be throwing his weight behind anybody.

Capitalism is about survival of the fittest, however you become the fittest doesn't matter in this part of the world.

Even the Great JP Morgan that was one time sole financier of the American Govt and its economy would never hav said such a thing.

That Dangote is Number one in Africa today and 25th in the world is not a function of Policies solely by this Administration except if dangote is saying he made most of his wealth under GEJ.

SeriouslyI'm dissapointed with Dangote.

I like Dangote pass this kind thing mehn!

What govt policies?
Business is about survival of the fittest, dangote muscles the market, he enjoys Monopoly and its not what you should be proud of or even say in public. All the greatest Monopolist in History have had their powers cut shut at one point or the other, check John D Roca Fella and Standard Oil, a court had to rule that it enjoyed so much monopoly and that's why Standard oil was split into what we nao have as Mobile, Chevron, Shell and what av you. He should categorically state the Policies!

Why can't these policies make the textile industries in Kaduna to be running?

Is it actually govt policies for the state or govt policies for Dangote.

We operate in a capitalist economy, Except if dangote is trying to say Govt gives him capital. Cos I know its even dangote that donates to govt, if govt is broke, they should sell Nigeria to dangote let him Privatise Nigeria and let's have peace,

Dangote is a Genius and has done extremely well for himself and I'm proud of him, He shouldn't throw his weight anywhere.

Whatever gratitude he owed GEJ, he owes OBJ, he Owes Yar'adua(May his soul rest in peace), He owes Babangida and past Govts.

I love Billionaires more than anything in the world, I even love it if the billionaire is nigerian and made in nigerian, I'm a dangote fan but atimes not everything goes down well with you even as a fan.

ilebaami: Goodluck Jonathan assembled a Nigerian 1st eleven squad that includes Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Shamsudeen Usman, Dr. Akinwunmi Ayo Adesina, Mrs. Hadiza Ibrahim Mailafa, Mrs. Stella Oduah-Ogiemwonyi ,Olusegun Aganga, Amb. Olugbenga Ashiru, Prof. Chinedu Osita Nebo, Mrs. Deizani Alison-Madueke a a host of smart brains to complement his intellectual insight. Not to forget two quiet wiz-kids at the power privatisation revolution called Atedo Peterside and Bekinbo Dagogo-Jack. You ain't seen nothing yet! Testimony galore!
As if Ngozi okonjo iweala didn't serve under obasanjo's regime. As if the best hands haven't always been in govt, as if this whole thing is about GEJ! This whole thing is about Nigeria.. Not all these things u have counted..

What are we? Where are we? What are we doing? Where are we standing in the eye of the international community, what's our future looking like, where is Education, Where is ASUU? Where is Health? Affordable and accesible health care, where are the Health workers? What is GDP and Per capital income? What is what man hour of power worth in Nigeria? What is minimum wage? Where is labour on issues of minimum wage! What's the Polity like? Politics is as tensed right nao as it can ever get, Tensions and tempers flaring.

Oh my god! You come here and count the members of a team and you haven't shown me the goals, u must be kidding me..

I don't sleep with electricity in my house, youth unemployment is high, ASUU is on strike, PDP is blowing apart,.... These are the realities on ground. You don't come telling me about the members of a team without showing me the goals they scored. Its wrong. You first show me the goals they'v scored I'l be impressed and I'l ask you to present me with the people that scored the goals and probably design them with Medals of Honor.

Its the Achievments that makes the team.

Nigeria is always living on hope in the future! 20,000 Megawatts by 2016. Good roads by 2017. Top 20 economy by 2020.

Promises and promises and promises. Ok ooo. Continue the counting.

Anjelus: If you are a good football fan, you would know that Mourinho is a Tactician.. As a Tactician and master strategist, you don't change a Tactics that has always worked for you, that is why Mourinho always insists you "NEVER CHANGE A WINNING TEAM"..

When you take time to formulate a Tactics that works for you, you dare not change that tactics not till it fails you..

Obasanjo is a Master Tactician and his Tactics has brought him this far, you are nobody and too small to ask obasanjo to change his Tactics.

You should know what you are talking about when you talk of tactics, don't forget Obasanjo is a very tactical person as he grew thru the ranks and File of the Nigerian Army to the pinacle of his career as a Full fled General.

There's nothing in the world as amazing as this and sweeter than this,. You talk of Abacha, (May his soul rest in peace). But today we all know where he is. Amongst the strongest Generals we have today, IBB, Abdulsalam, Buhari, ObJ..
Seriously, no offence, Obasanjo holds all the swag. Abacha Today is dead but somehow OBJ divinely has managed to be alive.

OBJ is a Master Strategist and a logical Tactician.

A General is the pinacle of your career as a soldier

And a Professor is the pinacle of your career as an Academician..

"Doctor" Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
"General" Olusegun Obasanjo.

"Professor" GEJ would have even been better to General OBJ.

Using the hand of esau and voice of Jacob is a Tactics in itself. Its a different thing for you to unravel a Tactics and its a different thing to deal with it..

Nigeria still has Leadership Problems not to talk of Development.

Without resolving the issue of leadership, there can be no Development,

Abi is it this same GEJ that is busy struggling for his Political career that you would go and tell to provide Electricity for you..

We must forget Electricity for now and watch the movies our leaders are acting even thou you don't have light to watch channels TV and AIT.

Leadership Crisis will not sink this country for Nigerians IJN.
One million likes for your sagacious comment, its a pity that the youths we are looking forward to in this country do not have the moral disposition to make valid and polite analyses, instead they have condescended to a disappointing level of casting aspersions on elderly people all in the name of freedom of expression, IS THIS THE WAY FORWARD? HAVE YOU TAKEN TIME TO DETERMINE THE LATENT REASONS FOR THE REBELLION? MOREOVER, ARE YOUR COMMENTS BASED ON TRIBAL DIFFERENCES OR LOVE FOR THE GROWTH OF THE NATION.....If your answers are negative to the forgoing questions then with all due respect YOU ARE WORSE THAN THE PEOPLE YOU HAVE CONDEMNED!!!
Look! I'm a bonafied Nigerian and I seriously believe in the Project "Nigeria" but we keep having problems with the Managers of the Project called Nigeria.. Not till we have a superb and wonderful Project Manager to Manage the affairs of Nigeria, we are going nowhere..

Before Development, you must talk Leadership, in the interest on Nigeria, let me lecture you a Bit..

We have Older Generation Politicians..

North: IBB, Buhari, Abdulsalami..

South/West: Obasanjo, Bisi Akande,

South/East: Ojukwu (Of Blessed Memory) and south south, maybe Edwin Clark.

Then the modern day Politicians,

South West: Tinubu, Fashola, Aregbesola, Oshioleh and co.

South south: GEJ, Rotimi Amechi, Wike Nysome, and co..

North: Kwankwaso, Babangida Aliyu, Sule Lamido..

My Point: even the south west young politicians (Fashola and Aregbesola) all still respect Obj..

GEJ is no match for the younger South west leaders, Fashola and aregbesola and co, not to talk of Obasanjo their Father.. Go and ask, Aregbesola and Fashola would gladly worship Obj with no remorse.. Forget PDP or APC..

When you talk of leadership, Awolowo, Fela Kuti, Obasanjo, Fashola, Aregbesola,... These side of nigeria is blessed with them..

I'm not a tribalist, but the truth must be told.

Obasanjo is a world class "African" leader. As a local politiian, he's a champion, internationally, he is reckoned with.. You are wrong to accuse me of tribalism cos I show my love for obasanjo...

I love Amechi, I love Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, I love Aliko Dangote, these people are Nigerians and not my Tribe..

Its not my fault if I'm from the best tribe in Nigeria.. I didn't put myself there.

In as much as I like the mutual existence of nigeria, I'm not also afraid of its dis-integration, cos I know say my people no go carry last.

jomonic: Yes yorubas did not vote for him. But I suspect it was because they had a second choice in Olu Falaye. Why did AD fail to field a candidate in 2007. Was it not because doing so will make it difficult for Obasanjo a Yoruba man hold the reins of power again as president. But this is not the point for now. My position is that this old man should quit the stage. He has served his time and largely failed. There is really nothing for him to redeem by constituting himself a common vagabond in our political space. The best for him is seat quietly and eat his loot and all the wealth he had acquired undeservedly from the system. GEJ may not be the best we can have at the moment but from the motley crowd arrayed in opposition around him there is none among the leading antagonists that has anything better to offer. But I believe that GEJ administration is better than any before it; having provided a level playing field and is kin to create the ambience that the future Nigeria can build on.
Life is very funny, No permanent Friends but permanent Interest..

Funny Enough, I didn't Vote OBJ into office, and I Voted GEJ, but today, I regret my actions, I wished I had done the exact opposite..

I can't believe I voted GEJ.

Billyonaire: OBJ has 'ruled' Nigeria as Military Head of State and 8 Yrs as civilian Head of State and is NOT yet satisfied. He even went ahead to push for a third term which failed.

OBJ never wanted to relinquish power, it is the reason he put up a sick Yaradua (RIP), and (GEJ against Odili) so he can 'rule' Nigeria again in proxy.

This OBJ is a very bad man and a very good man. He is an hypocrite, the greatest hypocrite that has ever walked on the surface on Nigeria.

He is not contented with the Money he got, this is someone who owns Sahara Oil, with networth of the company in Switzerland worth over 70 billion dollars and importing petroleum products into this country in the name of subsidy, I know these things and I keep quiet so I don heat up the polity.

OBJ needs to let this generation lead this country out of the woods. He has done enough, and should learn to stay off Aso Rock, even IBB and Abacha look like angels when we excavate the many ills of this great ape man called OBJ.

Let GEJ focus on Boko Haram and Electricity for us, let them not distract him permanently.

Great Netizens of Nairaland, please lets tell OBJ to let our President focus.
What an Elder see while sitting, a Kid would never see it even if he climbs mountain everest. Obj saw nobody could hold Nigeria and wanted a 3rd term.

Go to Zimbabwe and tell me how many Tenures Mugabe has done, 2weeks Time Germany would be heading for Elections and the Current German Chancellor Angela Merkel who has done 2 terms is contesting for a 3rd term and opinion polls are already begging to show she's likely to beat her opponent,

3rd term for Obasanjo was never a crime. If OBJ wanted 20 terms like Mugabe and Nigeria was progressing and developing is it not better than this current nigeria that takes 1 step forward and 5 steps backwards?

Ghadaffi of Libya had stayed more than How many years, Libya is Oil Rich like Nigeria and was Plotically and economically stable under Ghadaffi not till America waded in.

Mandela did one tenure and was ok for him, Obasanjo did Military, did Civilian and if he wants he can do crippled sef if he wants. These all boils down to individual differences,

If OBJ wants to be relevant till he is 120 years, that is solely his business and not yours to decide what age he bcomes irrelivant. After all this same obj has been called irrelevant so many time.. I wonder how an irrelevant man is giving you so much sleepless night..

Call obj irrelevant at your own detrement.

Look at your level of reasoning! How is he the one to win senatorial Seat for his daughter?

The daughter is already privilledged to have his Name alone to run on, winning it is left to her as her fathers faith can't guarantee her salvation.. All men shall stand to answer for themselves..

Your Father can not answer on your behalf ooo, don't be decieved, your father would answer his own and you would answer your own separately, this one that is Obasanjo's own, he is answering it.

If he had won for his daughter now, same people would come out and say he won for his daughter, now he hasn't done that, same people are coming to say he couldn't win for his daughter.

I can't say I disagree with them though but the part they said 7 governors wants to impose their will on 29 state is ludicrous.

Na this same nigeria we dey when 5 house members had their way against 27 in rivers state house of assemble..

Since we don't know mathematics in nigeria and I'm a dumb person, I will gladly support 7 govs against 29 govs since that is the trend in Nigeria..

Why use double Standards, what's food for the Goose should also be food for the Gender.

This mathematics theory has worked in the past in Nigeria. Why shouldn't it work again.

The founders of Mathematics would be disaapointed to know such a country as Nigeria existed. Murdering the bedrock and fundamental principle of Mathematics..

Nobody should talk of figures in nigeria again. We don't respect numbers..

Minority have their way over majority so it has been. It shouldn't be different this time around...

Many Battles of the General...

If I write a Book Titled "Many Battles of the General" the book go sell oo..

Obj still has Atiku to face at the other end of the bargain oo, but I'm thinking OBJ would rather settle with Atiku than Allow Goodluck to escape..

If OBJ is faced to choose between Atiku and GEJ, since he never Forgives, I think he would still prefer to forgive Atiku than Forgive GEJ because Atiku has Suffered enough and piad for his sins and I know Atiku would gladly bow to OBJ so OBJ the King Maker can Annoint him once again and make him a king or atleast a possible heir to the Throne.

I want to be like OBJ when I grow up mehn!

Obasanjo is just like King David in the Bible who was a General with many Atrocities but still prevailed. King David like's women, same as Obasanjo, we all know OBJ's escapades with women, King David had plenty Enemies to fight but never lost a battle, OBJ has fought plenty battles and is yet to loose one, and I don't see him loosing anyone soon.

If you read the books of Psalms, you'l be like king David. If you read Proverbs and Ecclesiates, u'l be like King Solomon.

Obasanjo to me is definately a King David of Our Time.
