Please can someone who is very versed in usa visitor visa educate us please.

1) does travelling to other countries give you an higher chance of having your usa visitor visa approved. What i mean is, if you have really explored other countries, those that give you an higher chance than someone who has not traveled to other countries?
Because on the ds160 form i cant see any where where it states you to list the countries you have traveled to.

So how exactly will the vo know that you have traveled to other countries before?



2) why do people keep saying it is easier for your usa visa application to be approved if you applied from another country outside nigeria.
People do say this a lot.
But judging by the thread i found out reverse is the case.

Both peope that applied from nigeria and people that went to uk to apply are having over 170days as next available appointment date.

What then is the essense of going to uk and applying from there?

Or am i missing something?

italy frequent traveler for schengen is diferent if u have been to schengen only onces
they still count you as first timer

We got our visas! All Glory to God. A big thanks to everyone who was always dropping hints on getting dates and also their transcript. I originally applied early last Year and eventually got interview date of February this Year. Few days to our interview in february, they rescheduled to October. So we had our interview on the 7th October. I have been to the USA about five times but my husband has never travelled out of Nigeria

Interview time - 9:45am
Arrived - 7:30am

They actually denied a lot of people whether old or young so there is no formula. May God favour everyone.

Pls I have an issue. I'm applying for a visa to attend the funeral of a family member. My mum is the primary applicant. However the person who helped us fill the application forms didn't succeed in uploading my passport but said I shld attend the interview with 2 passports. My problem now is that the confirmation of appointment for the interview has stated that passports should be uploaded or i will have to reschedule. Pls what do I do. I don't waste my flight ticket to Abuja. Pls help.

but my advice is if you cant verify the card on Yellowcardnigeria website then the authentication is bad

The agent I used gave me the yellow card. However, I used same yellow card to apply the last time and got my visa within 2 weeks( early this year) . I also entered SA twice with it but I recently discovered the QR code is supposed to take me to the website whereas mine doesn’t and I just submitted a new application recently. It’s making me worried

my own point totally different cause my wife was never pregnant as at when i booked our appointment last year janaury

after i have book flight to abuja since august for 250k so i should now cancel my flight with no refund paid visa fees since last year which i told them in my message that i cant use the visa fees to rebook cause it already over 1 year
it cant be reused to book another appointment

right now am just lockup, i dont even know what to do but am going to attend the interview
no matter what cause this have been planning for since last year.

I just spoke with one of their representative now . I was told the same thing that I need to cancel the appointment and reschedule my self . It clearly means am not going to get either this year or next year appointment . Omo am really weak like this I don’t even know what else to do …

I don't know how the person did it oh, you should message the poster and ask. All i know is that my inlaw's wife called the embassy to ask if they can bring their baby with them for the appointment but they said the baby won't be allowed in because baby has a 2023 appointment. Call embassy and ask, you might be lucky

cause someone cannot go all the way from lagos to abuja without not allowed in oo

is it advisable to book appointment date seen in 2024 for the baby in other to be allowed into the embassy?

Yeah you have to pick a date you see in 2024. My inlaw's wife picked a date in 2023 for the baby. But they eventually had to use an agent who got the baby an appointment this past summer and he scheduled baby's appointment for same date with the rest of the family.their baby was just a few weeks old but embassy told them they cannot just appear for their interview with the baby without her own appointment, that baby won't be allowed in. Them harsh oh lol

I applied for a 6 month visit visa in November last year and was rejected, due to unexplained large deposits from my employer in my salary account.

Decided to just go for 2 years when reapplying. Wrote a very detailed cover letter and resubmitted the salary account statement from the rejected application, explaining every single deposit in it, amongst other things.

I also submitted a new more recent 6 months salary account statement for the new application.

I have been a silent reader. Thanks everyone for all the tips! Was a bit worried when I saw some people saying first time applicants don’t get 2 year visas, but I decided to just go for it anyway and was granted a 2 year visa.

My German Visa Process/Testimony
Booked 1st appointment date 13th May 2022

Got 1st AD for interview 8th June, 2022
Was having blocked account funding issues (didn't understand the process). So i had to cancel ❌ the appointment. 7th June

Rebooked for appoint 16th July 2022 (account got funded by a friend in Germany after waiting for Form A for 2months)
Got AD 1 hour later for 25th July 2022

Interview went well
My BA confirmation hadn't come out yet so I went with just opening document (German banks are quite slow with transactions). The interviewer said i should send it via mail.

Got my BA confirmation the next day.
Sent it twice via mail. Three times sef

4 weeks later

August 24th 2022, Received a mail saying i should DHL my blocked account confirmation or bring it personally.

I went to embassy to submit it personally the next day.
Expecting to hear from them soonest.
Waited and waited lol

Another 4 weeks later

Got AM in the morning 19th September 2022. Went to embassy the same day to submit passport (FINTIBA handle travel insurance)

Received Visa from DHL 28th sept 2022

Travelled 2nd Oct via Ethiopian Airlines (I booked flight before AM came out)

Landed in Germany 3rd Oct.

You have to schedule the baby's own appointment oh, my brother inlaw's family had this same issue, they called embassy to add baby to their appointment but they were told to go online and schedule the baby's appointment
