As at 24th August…. Canada just did their best with a rejection letter.. I’m not surprise tho… Lmao! Like I submitted all I can like;
- Conference letter and recommendation letter
- 2 land documents in Nigeria
- Bank statement 10k plus euros
- Previous visa and valid visa’s (3 UK visa’s, Germany, Ireland, Mexico, Turkey, 2 Kenya, Dubai, Tanzania) I have been to over 14 countries
- 2 Old family photos
- Two Jobs contract letters (Main job and Mini job)
- 5 months pay slips
- Current residence permit
- hotel reservations
- flight reservations
- statement of purpose
- health insurance
- city registration and resident authorization
- house rent contract
(This are the docs that I could remember)

What else do they really want fam! Lol. The funny part was getting the rejection letter after the proposed conference ended 5 days go.

tourist visa application I summited in abuja since march 28.. I got a message today (5 months) after that my application is ready for collection. my travel date already passed.. I wont be surprised if I got denied. at least make I collect my passport back.

I need advice from someone in the house.

I have an interview at the US embassy on Thursday and my passport is still with UKVI. I have called and emailed severally but it’s still the same response. At this rate, I wouldn’t be able to get the passport before Thursday.
Has anyone been in this situation before?
Is it possible to show up at the US embassy without the passport and be given another date.

I cannot afford to reschedule as the dates available are now 2024!

Please help. Thank you

Just compose yourself. I got mine last week Monday. Go early irrespective of your time. My appointment was for 9am but I got there around 6.30. Entered with the rest and as at 8am my white paper was with me. This was my first trial. My travel outside Nigeria is to Dubai and the last time I traveled was in 2015.

Nice to be here! From the beginning of the journey till I landed in Saskatchewan, Ca. To God be the Glory.

The journey from Nigeria to Cairo was a smooth one, the only itch I have was the internet connection at the Cairo Airport. I got to know that you have access to free 30mins of internet access, all you need to do is to log in with your MTN number but must start with 0023480xxxxxxx, you will then receive a code on the said number. Most time, it may take forever to receive the code.

Try and get a smaller denomination of dollars if you wish to buy anything in Cairo Airport, no change at all.

From Cairo to Toronto
The journey of 11hr45mins started at about 3 am Cairo time, it was a long journey for me and my family being first-time travelers! They served us well, I requested more food anyway. It was a nice experience indeed.

We landed at the Toronto airport, and boarded a flight to Saskatoon, another 3hrs50mins, my buttocks pain ooo. I tried to change $200 USD to CAD in Toronto, the woman scammed me oo. She gave me 212.75 CAD for the 200 USD I gave her. Instead of 249 CAD. Thank God I didn't change all my money through her.

I got my Study permit and my wife got her OWP, my baby got her visitor permit. The immigration officer only asked me for my enrollment letter. We landed in Saskatoon, lovely environment cool and calm.
On arrival at the Saskatoon airport, my supervisor was already waiting to receive us! It was a memorable moment, which can never be erased.

On Monday!

We went for our SIN numbers enrollment and Bank account opening at Royal Bank of Canada, I deposits all the USD I bought from Nigeria, I got a good conversion rate, 1 USD =1.285CAD. We enrolled for our health card.

Tuesday
Went to my faculty, they have already arranged my office with all the necessary gadgets, wow! I felt elated. I got to my research laboratory, I was speechless, everything is at it's best.

Wednesday
Went for shopping and get some foodstuffs and others! What a nice experience. Above all, we enjoyed every part of the journey to the land of Canada.

Documents I used during the journey

1. International passport
2. Letter of introduction (they don't ask me anyway)
3. Covid-19 vaccine card was only asked in Nigeria Airport
4. Arrival Can was asked at the Toronto airport

I pray for everyone waiting for this testimony that your testimony will never elude you. You will surely testify.

Hey! So I am a US citizen as well this is what I did. My mom applied for B1/B2 visa and she got it, mind you she is a frequent flyer to the States. When she last visited, after she was inside the US for 3 month, I petitioned for her to get her green card and it was approved. You have to show that you're financially stable to sponsor her. It is okay to petition for her if she is in the country because it goes by faster as opposed to from Nigeria. I hope this helps

Remark:
We have a long way. A female officer that collected my file kept on asking and reminding me that I should pay processing fee and when I rejected she purposely gave me "Minor form" to fill. Since I was not ready to argue I filled it and gave it back to her.

I was later called to approval room and given the right form.
Not too long, I was given another form again, similar to what I just filled and was told is "the back form".

The same woman tried to remind the approval officer that I filled ordinary form (meaning without any officer's recommendations OR sorting) but the approval officer just asked me if I'm sure I filled the right details.

I was called by another officer who asked what was my mode of payment which I answered yet that same lady officer showed up again reminding me that I have not paid for my processing fee, but this time around I simply told her I'm not paying that there's no such thing.

this is only a summary of my ordeal today.

Yes with no traveling experience. My first application was for visiting someone and was denied did another application for conference got it same year. I didn’t explain anything about the previous denial

The police characters in Nigeria now is 30k you have to pay into government account......here is the online payment site

Then the officer will ask you to pay 10k for his own service charged for assisting you at lagos ....

If you do non appearance it's will take cost additional 10k

Every time you interact with you is an opportunity for them to review your status. Getting the visa does not assure your of entry, passing the POE does not assure of being able to stay; asking for a change in status is not a forgone conclusion.

official police price is 40k but i think those who will help u will add their own oo find out at ur nearest location

Is not necessary to mention refusal as each application is treated differently. I was once denied France visa same year I replied and got it without mentioning the refusal. If your documents are correct you will get it.

wow that was ur mistake u should have talked about it as someone also comment brief why u goig for study now and ur home ties

Each visitor, including a child, needs their own DS-160. If an applicant is aged 16 or younger, or is physically unable to complete the form themselves, they can be helped by a third party. That person must be identified at the end of Form DS-160, on the “Sign and Submit” page. U can be the third party for ur children
