CONGRATULATION Sir Wht are the documents submitted Sir to help others theLegaltable: Good Evening Fam!, I have been a silent reader on this platform (had to fish out my long lost password for this post) but I must say that this is one of the best things that could happen to a potential traveller. The information received here has been most invaluable. So I applied for my standard visitor visa and I painstakingly went through all the pages on the thread, took time and delayed my application to ensure I don't miss a thing. Well it paid off and today I received my visa after 2 previous refusals- 2014 and 2018. I must say that the more I went through the thread, I said to myself "even I would have denied me visa with the manner I filed the previous applications" Thanks to everyone and I will contribute from time to time to help others just as the contributions of others has helped me.
Timeline
Paid - 9th of June (used a GTB $ card) 9th of June- Uploaded all my documents myself online. I took my time to prevent mistakes and went through my documents painstakingly. Biometrics- 11th June Collection mail- 25th June Picked up passport with Visa - 28th June.
Thank you all. |

congratulation what month is ur pregnancy when u travel ? wish u safe delivery Godheard: I’m so grateful to God for his Favour and mercies throughout this process.
My POE experience at JFK was a breeze!
I was asked just 4 questions:
Purpose of trip: I told the officer that I was here to give birth
How long will be staying: I told him the duration. (3 months)
How much do I have: I told him the amount of cash at hand, the rest in my bank account.
Any goods to declare: None
My mother-in-law and I were stamped for 6 months.
Thank you all for the tips on this page. It was so helpful! From Visa application to POE. As at February/March this year, I wasn’t sure of embarking on this journey. Glad that I gave it a shot!
I declared the purpose of my trip for both visa interview and POE and it was positive.
The only bottleneck I experienced throughout this process was leaving the Nigerian airport. The officials almost didn’t let me fly because of my tummy size. They claimed that my fit to fly certificate was not true because my tummy looks like someone who is due . It was the most ridiculous thing i had ever heard. I was sent to the airport clinic for the DR on duty to confirm my pregnancy gestational age and thankfully, she was able to confirm that I was telling the truth. Naija and wahala!!! I had initially planned to travel in July but changed my mind because of my ever increasing tummy. It was a good decision in the end.
Just to add, traveling through JFK was very hectic in terms of flight duration especially since I was still headed to Houston, my final destination. I couldn’t get direct Delta flights to JFK. Delta’s only option was to arrive at Atlanta as first POE in the US before heading to Houston. I had to travel via Turkish Airlines which was a longer route and definitely more stressful.
Wishing all the other expecting Mama’s a smooth experience. |

enjoy ur stay bro abnot: The question should be why are applications being delayed ? I had to wait 7 weeks to get my passport back and I wasn’t happy about that. All enquires made were greeted with just pray about it which for me is not a prayer point. On Saturday the NIS officer that stamped me out of Lagos airport told me about how difficult it had become to secure an SA visa recently. On arrival at OR Tambo yesterday was granted one month stay but will be here for less than a week . The weather is a bit cold particularly at evenings but the government of SA needs to understand that most of us are only coming to do one or two things legitimate activities and leave long before the timeline granted to us. Not cool going through such documentation and wait times |

congratulation bro, Is this ur first time Applying ? Nimmadiji: Visa approved June 8th Time: dunno couldn't go in with a digital watch.
Doubt my transcript would be of any help because my interview was incredibly brief.
I was asked only 3 questions:- 1. Why are you going to the US? 2. Where are you going? 3. What do you do?
I noticed that people who were interviewed before me were asked more questions than I was.
The man barely looked at me. He spent more time typing away on his computer.
My appointment was for 9am but my big head didn't make it to the consulate till like 9:30.
There was no queue at the entrace of the screening hall probably because everyone but me came early enough. The security guards asked for bribe before letting me in. Typical.
There weren't a lot of people there so I didn't have to wait long before proceeding to the interview hall.
There were 3 VOs and for some reason they took their time with the applicants and asked quite a bit of qquestions. They weren't even rushing.
I saw a few F1 applicants young and not so young get denied. Some parents who went with their kids got denied as well after tensioning them with more questions.
NOTE: those who agents for their entire application process should be careful. Filling a ds-160 form isn't hard, take your time and do it yourself.
Two people who used agents were sent back at the screening hall. One of them had a confirmation printout that said june 8th 2021 but when they checked their records it was for March 2022.
Try to at least log into your profile to see the thing yourself. Print your confirmation yourself instead of showing up with some document some shady guy gave you. |

what did they said u lie about, if it can be corrected and prove them wrong buchhogonzalez: Hello OP,
In 2015, I applied for a US visa which was granted however, I was deported at POE and banned from entering the U.S, reason for the ban been that I lied in my application.
Now, I want to know, what can I do about this and what other countries can I apply to? |

cool annylove1: Self/Business introduction letter with my business letter head letters from a company and their subsidiary that I am a contractor with them My CAC document and FIRs document My Work ID as the GM my shop rent receipt from over the years till now My house rent receipt, utility and agreement (I also included my old house rent receipt which is nit the same address) I supply different things including furniture so I printed out invoices and also WhatsApp chats when invoices where not given I sell hairs so I included the invoices from the vendors and I printed bank transaction receipts which I attached to the invoices I sell fashion items and I shop for some of them abroad so I included lots of receipts from stores both in the US and the UK There were some lump sums in my account and I made sure to explain them in my letter.
Just try to be detailed and truthful. When I applied in December 2018, I didn't have a business account and I explained that in my letter, I used the same documents up there and I got it. Now I have a business account but I still do not run it properly as my customers are still used to my personal account and I made sure to explain that because I do not pay myself a salary. Lastly I try to reference every transfer I make and I ask my customers to do the same, I feel it helps |

NICE TO have someone like you can you tell us how easy to get their PR? madejibo: Good Afternoon guys, I was on this thread some years back, I left after a while but I am glad that this thread have grown. Then I used to proffer solutions to people's visas enquiries for free, a few contacted me privately, which I helped. I am a PR holder of South Africa with an ID since 2015, I qualify for a citizenship now, but since 2016, I have been in and out of South Africa, in fact the whole of 2020, I didn't enter SA. I have investment in SA, been there twice this year already in 2021, would be going there later this year to reside for a while and apply for my citizenship and with the way Nigeria is going, it is about time to take my South African citizenship more seriously. So hit me up with any questions, I would help |

how much budget u stated to use for your trip? kunzzy4me: Abi ooo...my thought too..because I got the visa bfor with same document and everything..reason for refusal was that I state 6days ...that am I not aware that I will have to stay in hotel for 10days quarantine period ..ofwhich I explain to them in my cover letter that I have 30days approved leave from work ..so.. 2nd reason that my budget is small for that period of stay ..my acct balance was 3.8m..i no understand ooo...I think that was an error from dere end because how can 3.8m be too small for a trip of 6days let even said 16days plus the 10days quarantine..I might need to write them dough .. |

thanks Tutu82: Right. They just after the total you intend to spend on the trip not necessarily a breakdown, who is paying for the trip, whether anyone is sponsoring you and proof that you actually have these funds in a functional account. Be realistic and truthful on your application and this usually leads to an approval. |

ooh so not a must to show break down of money to spend right Tutu82: You seemed to have stylishly asked the same question in a different way so let me give you an example;I used £1-580. £50x14 days accommodation=700 £30X14 days feeding=420 £600 Return Air ticket £100 Oyster pass + miscellaneous Total expense=£1,820(1,055,000.00 Naira). Feeding is flexible as a meal should cost no more than £10 and you might not want to eat thrice a day. You don’t need to show your breakdown on the application. |
