Just normal applicable documents, including copies of my previous Schengen. I am not sure they had a look at any co i submitted on Monday and got SMS for pick up on Wednesday

I am hearing its Covid related and that they are not even taking applications from First-time travellers. Also, Lagos is the consulate (Visa section) while Abuja is Embassy (Diplomatic section)
Others that submitted in both centres should share their experience. .

We applied for visiting visa for my husband and baby in June 2021, and afterwards applied for prioritization. The response was that he was not eligible for exemption to travel.

We kept hope alive, and applied for entry via compassionate grounds. First application was denied due to filling an outdated form. Second application was approved within 24 hours.

We sent the approval to IRCC using the travel exemption link, and we got approved in one week (Aug 2021).

I don't understand these guys. My Passport came out yesterday. I was given a single entry and less than 1 month. I dont know what is going on. My last Schengen was one year. I also did 1 year of insurance so i don't know why they would give me a 1-month single entry. Although i applied in Abuja and i have been using Lagos for over 12 years now.

Collection mail: 11th August
Collected: 12th August.

Have learned alot from this trend.
What I have learned from my visa process is to be sincere and truthful.
I had alot of Negative balance in my bank balance at the end of 3 months in my 6 month bank statement. The money I used was deposited by my sponsor just 7 day before I submitted my application.
I used Cover letter to explain everything in my bank statement.

You must have a strong purpose for going to UK and strong affiliation at Home.

I submitted my application on Monday, August 9th, 2021, lets see how long it will take to be processed.

pls can i dm we have been having same problem cause of restriction and direct flight from lagos is 1 million plus my sister want to fly this week, and the other cheapers flight is from lagos to london london to JFK , and there was restriction on the booking which was (us citizen and resident permit holder only) can F1 use this kind of flight

I think someone here advised that you shouldn’t fly Lufthansa as an F1 visa holder. That’s not true though because I flew Lufthansa to the U.S as a student just yesterday. I saw another F1 Visa holder on that same flight.

I summited on the 2nd August in Lagos and got my Visa stamped on 9th August received today by UPS
valid for 6 months till march next year
I'm travelling by October. meanwhile is business visa

British Airways is not restricted for F-1 visa holders but for B1/B2 category. I was at their office at Transcorp Hilton yesterday and Ticketing Officer said so. Besides, I have friends flying with them too this week. Bm

I think the Embassy did her a Favor by not Renewing her visa, if the visa was renewed it will be revoked at port of entry. Nigeria is a Red Flag Country for visa Fraud, even if you are CEO of a Company you don't take 5 months vacation at once. her Explanation did not add up. Maternity Leave in Nigeria is 3 Months........i visited US like 4 times before relocating,,,i was nearly turned back in one of my visit , the reason was that i visit US too often ..........i only stayed 21 days in each visit
