WELL I WAS THERE during xmas till January and came back really like south Africa system just Like Europe System everything have been done by this white colony people before leaving there country, i really wish to come back soon but the issue of their resident permit is what making me having second thought of SA i met Nigeria brothers who i know from home told me many things samtol4: It will be great if this happen but it is not possible because of 1. Corruption in high places 2. Nigerian drug dealers are amateurs in the game compare to the Asians .3 How is drug coming to South Africa? Are there Nigerians working in immigration or custom in SA ? Capital No . Why is drug business thriving in SA over years ? The drug baron " Teddy Mafia " 62years old was running his drug businesses for decade and police was quite aware but he was never jailed until he was killed two weeks ago by two guys . Was he a Nigerian man ? No ,he was a South African man . Countries have bad and good citizens , hence we have few Nigerians doing illegal deals ,this few is less than 5 percent of the total Nigerian population in SA . We encourage the government to deport this set of people or jail them. Without mincing words , many people are ignorance of Nigerian positive contribution to the progress of South Africa. In education, Nigerian masters and PhD students have contributed immensely to research output in South African universities. Virtually ,in all universities in SA there are Nigerians lecturing and working as researchers . The South African environment is good and conducive for research. In health sphere ,Nigerian medical professionals are scattered all over South Africa from rural area to urban domain. In business, there are Nigerians doing genuine businesses in South Africa. Some of these people employed South Africans ,hence reducing unemployment rate and creating jobs for South Africans. What about technicians who repair laptops , phones and computers ? What about IT experts and engineers ? You cannot use bad behaviour of few to paint Nigerians bad . Take a visit to schools, universities and hospitals you will see many Nigerians doing well . Why do we still have Nigerians in SA despite the challenges? 1. Good infrastructure and 24/7 electricity. 2. South African health systems is one of the best in Africa . It is free medical care . In Nigeria, CS may cost 300k or more, in SA it is free for citizens and foreigners. Women give birth without any stress free of charge.3. opportunities abound especially if you are a professional or you have skills or hand work . 4. South Africa is the gateway to Europe Canada and USA .5.South African universities are well funded . Masters and PhD students have opportunities for scholarships irrespective of their countries of origin.6. PhD may take 2_4 in SA but in Nigeria many years .5.Business opportunities abound. 7.Cheaper in terms of flight and visa application. 7. South Africans are very friendly and accommodating. Are you planning to come SA? 1. Find out what you will do to survive ( so that you don't join illegal deals ).2come with long term visa not visitor visa ( if you plan to stay long ). 3. Learn a skill or hand work before coming .4. With Covid 19 jobs are now scarce hence you must have skills or hand work or capital to start business. 5. If you want pursue your PhD or masters fine ,ensure your admission letter is genuine . |

wow that cool abnot: Sadly our people haven’t showcased their own well enough to the public. I was also surprised first time I used airpeace to j’burg because I was to use Kenya airways but got worried over the long layover on return. Tried airpeace expecting same planes they use on local routes with no entertainment system and food but was surprised that I got a much better business cabin with a fully reclinable chair. Left Lagos at 1:30am and got to j’burg in 5 hours |

ok boss enlighten us on this Critical skill visa samtol4: You have different options 1. Study visa 2. Critical skill visa and 3. Voluntary visa. The first two are better and easier once you followed the process. Voluntary visa is for religious workers, workers for NGO and so on. It is extremely difficult to see a church or NGO that will give letter when you are not a worker in the organization. For study visa , You need to submit your docs for evaluation( check Saqa site for the cost)between 60k to 100k will sort it out depending on your qualifications you want evaluate. 2. Applications to different schools may cost you less than 60k, depending on how many universities you applied to .3. Once you have admission letter you are expected to pay for medical insurance around 150k depending on the exchange rate. Add all these figures together , it is roughly 300k plus and be lesser depending on how many schools you applied to. |

congratulation was it same expenses you wrote that was use? Annonymous2: UPDATE. I got the Visa Online submission- Dec 2nd Biometric at Abuja center - Dec 14th TLS mail for collection - Jan 7th (the 15th working day) DHL delivered it today- Jan 12th
I made my online application very very simple keeping in mind my cover letter might not be looked at during decision making. So i maximized the use of the 1000 words place. I knew way back when exactly i will be applying for Visa so i took my time to prepare my bank account, the necessary supporting documents, Visa requirements and i read a lot of refusal mails just to know what i should avoid (Apart from the disposable income stuff ). Most importantly, i did not LIE anywhere in my app. I appreciate everyone on this thread esp giselle237 who seems to be an OG here and has knowingly or unknowingly contributed to the success stories of thousand of individuals. For those that got refusals, don't be afraid to start all over again and make sure to keep it simple. |

congrat bro was she going for visit or tourism cashdosh: My mum submitted her first visa application in October but got denied based on “Bank Statements Transaction Lacks Credibility”. However, to be honest, We did deposit a lump sum into her account from different sources which totaled 1.2 or thereabout.
A week after her first application was denied, we submitted it again without the inclusion of her bank statement but instead, with mine as her sponsor. My balance was extremely heavy with good activity on the account. This morning, she got her 4 months multiple entry visa.
Note: if you’re sponsoring any family members, ensure to include your birth certificate or an affidavit. |
