congrats Sweetchilli: Hello all. Received our passports today. Visa granted for my son and I. Even though I didn't get response to my questions earlier, I'll like to give this information to help any family applying together. You all don't have to pay for flexi. I booked a normal appointment for myself and booked flexi for my son. That enabled him do walk in appointment and our applications were consolidated at the VAC. So I spent 42k instead of 84k it would have cost both of us. |

WOW Happy to hear this kind of story it inspire one AfonjaBoston: You seem like a young person so hopefully my story will inspire you.
Back in the mid nineties I was what they call an Efiko. No be now whey My brain done they retire. Old age and hyperactive children that won't let me rest My parents never had to pay for school fees it was scholarship up until my first degree
I was a staunch Deeper Life Student whose role model was Pastor W.F Kumuyi ,you can imagine what kind of person I was . I dey use hand cover book for exam I NEVER skipped any step in my life or cut corners.
I got the PTDF scholarship while in a Federal University which transformed my life and I graduated top of my class
Exactly one month after NYSC I was hired by a MNC here in Nigeria worked for a few years then the travel perks started to roll in.
Europe, Middle East and North America, then finally the Houston station and those folks refused to let me go back.
If it's not too late for you, your story can be the same. Hard work, diligence, self-respect and above all believe in God then you will be whatever you wanna be without cutting corners
. . . But if it is too late for you my dear I am sorry na your destiny but the best you can do is copy my testimony make a 2'×3' poster out of it and place on the wall to use as an inspiration for your kids
You will thank me later |

ooh sorry about this question but are you USA BORN if not, you too did your way to Get Papers bro it start from Somewhere, God know best for each people AfonjaBoston: Young man even if his brother abused his US visa, what has that got to do with him?
Do you know if he advised against such? Did you expect him to bundle him in a car and drive him to an ICE facility?
Brother US immigration laws doesn't work like that. The brother will even sue him for kidnapping.
I have very very very few young people who have come to live in my home on holiday from naija as soon as anybody mention gaming the system I kick them out to go do that crap somewhere else . I don't harbor illegals in my home.
That's the most I can do. Let the system do their job and fish such people out.
That will not stop me from crucifying people abusing the privilege they were given and destroying opportunities for thousands of genuine applicants |

wow that means that have tagged your passport number Heffalump: Yes, Kayraph!
Was detained once at George Bush International Airport in Houston once, because of 2 Apples I forgot in my check-in luggage from Naija. Since then, I've become their customer at the CBP anytime I'm in the States. In fact, the moment an Officer scans my passport at POE, it will just flag up something. My saving grace was that I declared the Apples on the first day.
There are some foods that are on the prohibition list, fruits and some kind of drinks inclusive. |

congratulation Bro i tap into your blessing oo are u going for visiting or tourism you single also right babs4all: Good day all, So I have been following this thread and contributing for a while. I had my interview earlier today. My advise to anyone applying for either visiting or student visa is this, be sure of what you are doing and why you are applying. Lack of composure is one thing I noticed that affected alot of people that got denied. I think the denial rate is about 90% for both visiting and student visas. Elderly people and fairly young people with good travel histories were issued visas. Some elderly people who couldn't present their case very well were also denied. Bottom line, don't go and gamble with N52,900 except you are just trying to get the experience. Examine yourself through your application form. Put yourself in the shoes of the Consular Officer and judge yourself. Those guys don't give a damn. To them, they are applying the rule of their country accordingly.
All said and done, visa granted. I have good travel histories though. Schengen, UK, South Africa. Good job as well. Have been denied 2 times in the past. I was asked if Canada or any European countries had refused me visa before? I said yes. Canada. Obviously, he saw it on his system. |
