mikron: pinky are u saying the blacks in ur country are not allowed to stay anywhere they want in ur country? as in they are not allowed to build in their own land? pls im kind of confused here, pls enlighten me During apartheid, not now. But even now our country has laws, like you can't be building your shack in the city or anywhere you feel like it. Blacks can live anywhere they want though, even in the burbs. |

Monicasque: This thread should just be closed now. Punkyoh or whatever your name is, listen doll dis is a nigerian forum and there are very few south africans and the majority is nigerian, so you are never going to win any argument here. Everyone here should just understand that everyone loves their country and would never want to tolerate bad stuff being said about it. This thread should never have gotten so far. It should just be closed now. Fyi not all our men are corrupt or bad, in every nation there will always be a few rotten apples, but that does not mean that the rest of the nation is bad. My people can we please just put a stop to this thread because it might even ruin the good political relations both these countries have with each other. We are all africans and we should rather understand and help each other. Not bash each other like this. Please my fellow humans, today is easter for goodness sake, doesn't that mean anything to you? We are all sinners and we all have our goods and bads, but one body was brused on this day, so that all of us can be in another level altogether. Please mods, please close this thread abeg, it is scaring me. It has so much hate and negativity, and most of it its either lies or its about bashing things which we are not even 100 percent sure about. Guys south africa and nigeria should be helping each other up, instead of bashing like dis. Look there are cirminals everywhere lets just hope they stop their corruption and help all of us to build a good africa. Lol, i can't believe i earlier commented on this thread taking it as if it was a joke. My Africans, we are all Africans and most of us here are black, but look at how we are abusing each other.guys plz stop ooooooo Don't care! |

Mandu94: People with such mindset perpetuate existing problems. People that improve situations go outside their comfort zone. Doing nothing and accepting reality can almost be just as bad. The little we can do, e.g giving money to charity, spreading the word across the Web about ignored issues, or even speaking to others can all contribute to a massive global effort. Yes this world is bad, but imagine how bad it'll be if no one like kumbaya, Nelson Mandela, etc and thousands more just swallowed crushed glass. Maybe we blacks would be so poor we wouldn't have had the money to buy a smartphone to even express your previous comment. That's sweet but the Ghandis & Mother Theresas aren't born every day. They're an exception. Most humans are vile creatures imo. It's the nature of the beast. |

Mandu94: They way we are taught is conditioned in a way for us to understand. Country is a societal construct, defined by borders and patterns in populous racial clusters. When I say, country, I mean it morally. Love, peace, unity and understanding for each of our differences. I got you the 1st time lol. |

Mandu94: Its saddening to see our fellow Africans competing and insulting each other based on a country's economic and social problems
I'm Nigerian and Nigeria has many problems such as the lack of diversity from the oil sector, corruption, cultural divisions (north south divide), reliance on expensive energy making the cost of production higher, poor education standard in public schools, poverty, terrorism and many more.
I don't know much about South Africa, but as a result of Apartheid, the affects of the division is still apparent in many areas but despite this there has been great progression. Nonetheless there are many problems such as crime, poverty, inequality, hiv and other such issues that I am not aware of.
Every country has its ills. I have seen the slums of Nigeria, I don't think it is any better than a slum in India, South Africa or any country for that matter.
I am Neutral. No one owns a country. When people start seeing the world as one massive country, it'll be a better place. Until immigration catches you, referring at the last part |

all4naija: This your very post is done tongue-in-cheek way that I don't like. Where are informal settlements usually found in SA? Hahaha... Let me start by saying, I don't care what you like or don't like. Repeat it after me, I DONT GIVE A FLYING Bleep! Now back to business & I'm explaining this to you for the very last time so make sure you read slowly & pay attention. Here goes...There's a country, within the country there are cities, within the cities there are different residential areas & within those areas there are homes etc. It's like that Russian doll with many dolls inside it. The other dolls are separate from the main doll even though they're within the doll. Now let's look at the South African situation, 1st there were townships before any skwata camp but because our govt at the time was not building any more houses for the increasing population & there were laws about where blacks could stay, squatta camps were born either within the township or somewhere near the township. Surely you didnt expect them to build homes suspended in the sky. With that said, it STILL doesn't mean that they are part of that township because we have house numbers & those numbers are known to the govt or municipality. Skwatta camps have none of that. They belong nowhere until the people are allocated homes. Skwatta camps even have their own names, separate from whatever township they happen to be in or next to. It's as simple as that. We know how our system works so you can't tell us nothing.

You trying to twist words to make Townships look like a developed places which they are not. Simply Google on Townships would prove my point. Listen & listen good..just because Google doesn't know what a township is, it doesn't mean that WE don't. We were born here & we know what is a township & what is something else. Once again, you can not teach me one single thing about South Africa. |

The average Nigerian does not give a fk about this to be honest Lol, of course it doesn't matter & I don't care if you care or not but I'll still make a correction when you tell lies about MY country. Romance › Re: Why Do Nigerian Men Think All Foreign Women Are Crazy About Them by PunkyOh(f): 2:13pm On Apr 03, 2015 |
all4naija: It is a part of Townships. Indeed, Townships were once informal settlements which spiraled into a huge squalor for black criminals. You cannot teach me anything about my country. A township is a township & an informal settlement is an informal settlement. Finish & klaar. Townships have always had running water & toilets. Always. Because townships were built when blacks were forcefully removed from the homes they have built, to make space for white people. So yeah, townships have always been a brick house with two bedrooms, a lounging area, a kitchen & a toilet. We always had all the things I mentioned in the other post too-waste removal, mail distribution, street sweepers, clinics etc. It's not a new thing. Townships were NEVER informal settlements because the two are not the same thing. Never was & never will be. Shikena |

blackpanther25: lol Fyi south African women are not the only women with big asses. There are a lot of African women blessed with such heck black girls in general so I don't see what is so special about it.
The funny thing is I don't see why a women would be happy that a man simply likes her because she has a big ass. That just means he only likes you for sexual reasons then ya'll come and cry how wicked Nigerian men are when your whorish women have nothing to offer then just having big asses and being proud of it as if it's some sort of achievement. We were talking about South African women, not women from other countries. I mentioned asses because some guys here never talk about South African women without mentioning their asses. Was simply going by "your rules". Humouring him so to speak. I'm not the kind of person that gets excited over things that are too appearance centric. I'm not that shallow. |

blackpanther25: if you read the Google posts I spoke of it mentioned townships. I guess you must be blind toi Not blind. There's a difference between townships & informal settlements. I live here. blackpanther25: lol you are a very funny individual. You can come on here and tell lies about how your townships have malls and toilets and SA is all rosy but for those that have actually been to your country and are aware know that a lot of the things you say is BS. Is it not the same SA were 25 people share 1 toilet outside. The bucket system/open toilet is very ripe in SA and even a simple Google search would tell you. I know you love your country but there is no need to lie. You do know there's a difference between township & an informal settlement? Even what you posted mentions INFORMAL SETTLEMENTS. Ain't no shame in my game, here are few of our informal settlements. See taps & toilets. Last pic are the new houses people move to after being removed from the informal settlements.

all4naija: You haven't used bucket poo system doesn't mean others don't. Many still live in rotten shafts in Townships yet you want to make them look like developed places. It is a shame you don't know much about Townships in SA. Keep blaming foreign media for black people incompetence to develop and lack modern civilization. Mr man, 100 % of South African townships have toilets. What you're talking about here are INFORMAL SETTLEMENTS, also known as Squatter Camps. Those are the people that are still waiting for their own homes to be built, because our govt do provide free homes WITH TOILETS & RUNNING WATER. I reiterate, even our informal settlements have public toilets & public taps for clean water because those are basic human rights. Our citizens are not neglected. South Africans are too spoilt & bratty, I'm not proud of it, but yes, we're too demanding to settle for buckets. Are you kidding me? Check your facts. |
