Food / Re: Why Does Jollof Rice Get Burnt When Stirred? by pweetymama(f): 9:11am On Aug 08, 2013
deeobserver209: The answer is simple. Heat. During cooking must of the oil is ejected upward by vapour gas through heat to allow for the proper cooking of the grain. When you stir rice during cooking, you introduce the oil which was ejected back to the bottom of the pot. This causes intense heat build up around the base of the pot leading to the burning of the rice. You know what happened when heat and oil is mixed together. That is why it's advisable after mixing all your ingredients you must not stir the rice until when it's done.
dat means ur ingredients will be at d bottom of ur pot.@Op,u can stir but use a wooden or rubber spoon and ur food won't burn.Hmmn!I tink I want jollof rice now! tongue

Every woman has a foresight of what they want in life.I decided to get married young, have 2 kids and face my career as my kids are growing and that does not reduce my IQ or focus in life one bit.its all about priorities and how u have decided to place them.

Career / Re: Fantastic Salary, But I Am Not Happy by pweetymama(f): 1:25pm On Jul 31, 2013
kawazaki: @Michelle55 ,@ammy2good and @uvola

I came into Lagos in a bus a decade ago, after searching fruitlessly for a Job in Port harcourt for about a Year without success.

I then decided to stop looking for work and concentrating on what i had to offer. I wrote several companies offering to work FOC ( free of charge ).

I was given a chance by a French firm, and that was the beginning of my career.

Can you all try that too ?
Of course.I don't mind starting up that way.I have been looking for such opportunity in portharcourt but no success yet.

jdilight: A friend of my introduced me to provision business but when l got the l saw the potentials in being a manufacturer.

l have been making consultations.

As concern the toilet paper which am interested in for now. Am considering using locally made machines for a start to reduce cost and for easy maintenance. The company is expected to kick off before the first quarter of next year.

All potential investors or partners are expected to work in the company till the company is able to employ works and still pay the owners. while working the company is expected to pay the workers, that is the partners.

If your interested, you can ask your questions.
m really interested in this biz but from all indications u r based in lagos nd m based in ph,so how do we go about it?

kodilyjoe: i have been in PHC for almost a month now carrying my CV from one end to another and roaming the city like sheep without shepherd yet i found nothing. Its more frustrating that i had a 2:1...does it mean dat PH is a dry place in terms of jobs? Maybe d frequent and regular jobs is prostitution(ashawo)work. Cos every manager i meet in PH wants to sleep with me first b4 getting me a job or b4 talking to his friends. Are there no good men left in this world? What are we becoming...all of us? Do we stop going to school and learn rather how to warm men's beds? I just hope that God isn't asleep cos am getting tired of everything.
God is not asleep nd wen he wants to visit u,he does nt need to tk permission from anyone.dnt give up.Ur miracle is on d way.

Jobs/Vacancies / Are There No Jobs In Port-harcourt? by pweetymama(f): 9:52am On Jun 21, 2013
This trend of most companies not publishing adverts for employment is really eating deep into the system of this country. When an advert is finally published,u find out the recruitment has already been done, especially in companies here in Port-Harcourt.Some companies send out an inner circular to their staffs to bring someone they know.
Hence the question, does it mean that those that dnt know anyone will not get a job in this city?

Ucheosefoh: At 22 how many gals are graduates even if some are graduates at that age, a 22 years old gal is not mentally matured for marriage
dats not true.it has even been proven dat girls of 20yrs think like guys of 40yrs.girls r more intellectually matured than guys.almost every married girl in my family got married btw 22yrs n 23yrs.Maturity of mind is what counts nd not age.
Romance / Re: I Cheated On My Boyfriend With A Married Man - Please Advise by pweetymama(f): 10:08am On May 14, 2013
coded guy:

Whatever reason is given for someone cheating whether justifyable or not should be condemned. It is bad. But things like this will always happen, its not the first time and would certainly not be the last, we are all trying prayerfull or physically not to fall into this kind of thing while others are actually targeting married partners deliberately.

Let me play the devils advocate, we can condemn the OP as much as we like but what if its just a circles making the round. What if this is a punishment for the guy's wife who may have done this to some other woman or women? Not saying she can not be faithful to her husband. Just saying.

If Nairaland survives many years to come we will see another self confession about how someone slept with a married man, not knowing na this OP husband and then we have Ogugua and her likes taking a swipe at her.

OP pray and ask for forgiveness!!
its same tin we r saying.it will likely be OP's fate too.
Romance / Re: I Cheated On My Boyfriend With A Married Man - Please Advise by pweetymama(f): 10:06am On May 14, 2013
dudet: I think it is important for us not to judge; I have a friend who once cheated on her boyfriend while they were dating, but eventually got married to him. I saw her recently and she seemed very happy with her life, has two kids with the guy she married.

My point is everyone DOES have a moment of insanity; the issue then becomes, do we act it out? Some people are more morally inclined than others and strongly believe that there would always be future implications for engaging in things like that. The truth is it all takes the grace of God; so know matter how judgmental or "holy" you think you are, it is important to put these things in perspective, it is all by God's grace.

So let he who thinks he stands, take heed lest he falls.
so,did she cheat on her bf with a married man or fall in love with d said married man?go thru d OP's post again.
