Got messaged by a client. He has an Upwork history and a 100% hire rate. To do the job, he was asking for my email to send me some documents. I told him Upwork prohibits communication outside Upwork.

He didn't reply again, and when I checked again, he'd cancelled the job.

I dey reason message the guy again, but it's risky.

MY QUESTION: If one were to take a risk and share their emails on Upwork, is there anything that can be done to make sure the bots don't get you? Cos it seems Upwork has revamped their bots in recent times.

Like on Fiverr, they put spacing between the email address

I want to see if I can tease the client back if I give him the email.

I shared email today but I explained to the woman that it's my name AT google and that I can't spell it for her. so she understood, you can't share until they create a contract.

Thank you for the response. One of my guy got blocked recently on Upwork because of the location stuff they ask him for loaction reverification and he couldn't pass it. I changed back to Nigeria now, because I have a long term client and I don't want to jeopardize that.


Please do you know how I can stop Upwork from charging me 7.5% VAT?

Did you configure the W-BEN ? I've never come across that Tax, do you have a screenshot of that. Upwork is not playing with blocking people.

You can do PHP and specialise in WP


Every one can do it even my 8 years sister can do perfectly build a website and deploy it on nginx



Specialise in something like backend or database admin or perhaps PHP



Your website sucks tbh


It takes time to load all those shitty components , I had to disable js for it to run properly


Your projects are just clones of what you watched on YouTube, any mf indian or Mohamed can do what you did even better

Deploy real life projects for people
Start with yuur church, family members that need a website etc.

Use PHP next time and try to stand out from other web devs by making your portfolio unique

I don't know, I build for myself and carry my babe along with me, the reason she trusts me, is because she has seen me help her get jobs and change career and lead a team, building with someone comes easy, when the person is building and carrying you along.

I'm experiencing delay in receiving funds from upwork to geegpay this period. I initiated withdrawal on upwork since December 27, uptill now I'm yet to receive it in geegpay. Is anyone else experiencing this?

It shouldn't take much time, You might want to reach out to Geegpay, because those guys often delay. I stopped using them but you will have no choice because there's no alternative.

I reached out to the Customer Service, to be sincere I don't know, how long have you been running as a US account ? because they only flagged me when I shared payment details, but I had never been flagged for logging into someone's account, then again, it's possible all these information are logged against you, until you commit an offence that's big enough to shed light on you.

I work as a salaried individual and earn around 400k monthly.

However, my girlfriend constantly asks for money. I give her almost 100k every month and she feels it's not enough for her. She's even voiced discontent, suggesting I only send her money when she explicitly requests it.

I'm beginning to suspect her motives, as she seems solely focused on my income.

She never suggests saving or helps in cutting costs; her primary interest lies in spending everything.
Despite my genuine love for her, I can't keep up with her demands. I had hopes for our future together, but it seems unlikely now.

I'm considering a breakup as a solution.

Has anyone navigated a similar situation?

My babe doesn't ask I give because she's a nice person, along with my siblings and family, but I won't tolerate someone ungrateful 100k is alot.

Weigh the cons and pros in the relationship, if she doesn't bring much value, then you can dump her, after all you can always do bad by yourself.
