Do interger modifiers just increase the amount of space assigned to an interger in memory?

Because the size of int's is usually 2 abi 4 bytes

But for instance, I declare an int with the long long prefix and then ask for the size using sizeof(), the size dramatically shoots to 8bytes for only God knows why. That's why I'm asking, do integer modifiers just Increase size in memory or is there something else they do?

They contain an amount of memory, remember every code you write takes up memory, during the fetch-execute cycle. memory has to be allocated.

If you deal with Characters and Keyboard mappings, they are guided by the ASCII which contains characters on the keyboards.

now ASCII has 256 Characters, which is small. so in this case a C++ dev will use a char because a char is 8bit = 256 , imagine if I had to use a bigger data storage, I would simply be wasting memory.

Most C++ apps are highly intensive and use a lot of memory, you have to think on a compiler level, especially if you are doing 3D Engines, you can quickly max out the memory on the system. So you must be very detailed and learn about C++ before diving into it. You are also responsible for disposing of that memory, which is why most sane people jump to Java, Let the GC handle all those.

Anyway, that's my explanation for a data type and when to use them.


Int data are so good but the max is 65,536 , so if you have to handle large data, you'd be looking at the 32bit data types long,double or so

Assuming you were dealing with computation for 3D Engines or Game Dev, you will find yourself using a lot of floats.

Hello house. So I was on an application spree some weeks back. Got some invitations here and there although it didn't go further than that. But there is this particular client that is still messaging me. Two Mondays ago, She sent an invite to a test which had a deadline of 2hrs by 7am. I saw it at noon. Didn't engage due to it being too late. Last week, she messaged me if I'm still interested in the job. I affirmed but she didn't reply me again. She finally replied this morning that it's still open.

The question now is do you think it's a scam? Payment method is verified and they also have hires on other posted jobs.

Of all the other freelancers that applied, they couldn't find a 'perfect fit'?

Any activities that leads to money leaving my own pocket is a scam, but a always read Client reviews from previous freelancers......................................assuming the reviews are not bought.

guys shit is getting real now. exam is next month, have multiple of test to write in the coming weeks and the worst of it all. My tech journey is struggling. I have not have a decent sleep for the past two days. But am still resilient sha. got my 3rd star on hackerrank today and it kinds of rekindle hope. Will have to go back to my default mode of 1 hr per day. If not for anything, am determined to make the very best out of this semester...better than my previous grades. I have determined that my grades wont suffer cos of tech. I am not desperate to get a job and willing to learn in depth and achieve my goal no matter hw long.

so far so good havent been paying more attention to this tech thing. But have been moving with the speed of a tornado in academics. hope I keep up the tempo sha. I dey keep tech in check...because it consumes and and posess the entire mind and being of an individual.

even the DSA course they carry me where I know know. I applied for a DSA bootcamp. I hope everything turns out well. Now I have started avoiding questions on hackerrank that will take time for me to even decode the question... only focussing on questions with higher percentage pass rate to save time.
