They really do need to throw that buffoon in prison. Im sure it wouldnt even take much probing or investigating. Any little thing even if its from long ago. Throw his ass in the tubu and throw away the key.
That being said, why should th eindustry be privatised? So it can be abused? you dont thimk we've suffered enough rapage? It's the governments responsibility to provide energy, I dont understand why it should be pushed away knowing very well we will never get value for money! if anything let the government initiate the process iron out the knooks and crannies and take full risks! that way they can control the industry even if eventually privatised and avoid the people paying extortionate amounts for fuel! as for now abeg please no put mouth on privatasion matter. did obj not issue all those licenses? what have we now?
and out of curiosity what was there to gain from obtaining a license? do they get paid or summin?
Politics › Re: Ojukwu: Gowon Blasted Over Biafra Comments by queensmith: 9:52am On Dec 04, 2011
T8ksy:
Ojukwu didn't turn his face away whilst his people were been butchered in the north rather he sent

them back to the same north knowing fully well, he cannot vouch for their safety. After which, he led them into a badly-

planned, ill-managed and shambolic war that cost more miseries to his people ONLY for him to "turn his face away" and

ran off (like a thief in the night) to a safe haven leaving his people to their fate.

Ojukwu fought for what he believed in and sent many of his people and others to an early grave BUT he wasn't prepared

to die for his beliefs and the millions who have died responding to his clarion call.

I sure would like to know how the cold-hearted mothaph.ocker sleeps at night.

Probably explains why he couldn't get it up for his whorish young wife and have to rely on his blood relative to do the biz

on his behalf.

Atuntuku e lono orun.

Cowards (like the ikemba) surely dies many times before their eventual demise.
God is going to bless you for this;
you put down my stance on the Biafran War.
After reading random journals and various ethnically biased opinios on the war, especially listening to friends and relatives from the south. I came to my own conclusion that the war most likely began due to greed and that arrogance is never a way to solve community situations.
No1 its not an unknown fact the igbos only decided they were regionally of any sort of value after the sudden oil discovery. Just like the killings by the criminal coups in 66 it was a matter of trying to assert your dominace. Like animals scrambling to become the King of the Kingdom.
I understood all that was written in the journals written by Effiong. I do not support or belive in war, it never solves anything and just serves as a playground for the coldhearted and blood thirsty (obama) to play games with real lives. However I must mention, all that was mentioned in the journals describes the situatiuon during the war and  thereby clearly not justifying the cause. Its simply consequence, fine they were beaten starved and brutally mistreated but thats not the reason you started war? We know very well those that were for the biafran war could not care less about the biafran people and were simply protecting monetary interests (oil) with the bristish simply trying to enslave the world like they always do.
I still dont see how Ojukwu ever thought he will win? War was definitely not the way out, and in the end he fled! like a goat! why people continue to praise him is absolutely beyond me! He lead people to thier death traps!
Unfortunately Nigerians will always blindly follow ethnic loyalties instead of logical and analytical thinking and this is what is destroying the country (example the he goat we call president).(the baboon we used to call president)
I do understand igbos thinking this man was a hero; but its the wrong thought, his legacies died way before he did, massacre and war continues in the country, Gowon had the last laugh and where are we today in terms of ethnic solidarity? People need to pull this ethnic cotton wool out of thier eyes and see plain sense!
Travel › Re: Arik Air Delays Lagos Bound Passengers For 6 Hours At Heathrow Airport by queensmith: 2:00pm On Nov 21, 2011
Right, this is where I can genuinely say we shouldnt be soo quick to sacrifice Nigerians even though thier services are generally poor useless and unhelpful.

Recent events show us that Nigerian Airlines have been boycotted since Heathrow have cut thier landing Bays from 21 to 7. This will be the reason why the airlines have had to keep passengers waiting whilst others fly freely. Arik has still tried its best to ensure Nigerians get cheap services when wanting to fly to Nigeria. I really do empathise with them in this situation, if they only get soo much support what can they do?

i dont see why he should play the friendlies- risk getting injured or even worse not even being paid significantly, whats in it for him? doesnt matter if he is or isnt a fantastic player- if the team could get thier act together everyone will be proud of serving it! did emmanuel adebayor not quit international football when the headache became excessive? abeg please dont blame the guy in his position most of us will have changed nationality quick quick!

The good thing about Dangote is that he kept is money within Nigerian economy and provided jobs for millions.

many others sent their money abroad and provide jobs for people abroad
explain?

he makes his money from Nigeria, materials are sourced in nigeria, consumers remain in Nigeria. Sending his business abroad isnt even an option. besides for the prices he charges i doubt he can take business far elsewhere?

you still dont get what misterman is saying. Moving the bank account may be the initial stage of some shady deals. Why move it u have no complaints against the bank?
And saying they receive APPAULING education is taking it too far.
What I am saying is it doesnt matter if the money is in the agbado branch or in the cayman islands. It makes no difference to them or thier lives and they should focus on matters that directly concern them.
They receive APPAULING education in ekiti- it wasnt meant as an insult. its a well known fact. thier university is one of the worst. the state government colleges are soo badly mismanaged to the point where roofs are falling onto the kids. Yet they still continue to build and open new schools that will be mismanaged! tut tut
Politics › Re: Ekiti Youths Threaten To Raze Oba's Palace Over LG Bank Account by queensmith: 11:15am On Sep 30, 2011
MisterMan:
Yeah, just a bank account will surely NOT cause a bank to fold up, however, an account of that magnitude in a rural setting like Agbado means a lot. Agbado is NOT Lagos, remember that. Moreover, give people an inch, they will take a yard. Who knows the kind of thing the Chairman will bring up next time
it really doesnt matter- a bank is a bank, the youths are not going to profit on the accounts that branch holds. same as nobody in east london benefits from all the head offices it holds. These are people that want to fight but have no clue of what to fight for! they should start from the appauling education they all receivE!
Politics › Re: Ekiti Youths Threaten To Raze Oba's Palace Over LG Bank Account by queensmith: 10:37am On Sep 30, 2011
this is what u call involvement! obviously a political vendetta. why will a bank fold up because of one account? cmon im sure ekiti can do better than all this nonsense ive been seeing lately. the place is waay to small to be causing soo much trouble! *rolls eyes*

Phones › Re: How True Is It That 09141 Is A Killer Number? by queensmith: 10:01am On Sep 15, 2011
hillsate:
Guys, all these gimmicks are always generated by sales representatives of GSM companies in order to meet their targets in 'bad months'. There are some they send telling you of people that were blessed by forwarding to 10 people and people that died who deleted and didnt forward the text. if you look at such texts some are up to 5 texts in 1. Imagine sending 5 paged text to 10 people. Minimum you will spend is N500. Because nigerians are vulnerable, people now resort to loading their phones to obey.

For the socalled killer numbers, it is always started by the sales representatives of the older GSM companies in Nigeria. They know that being the older companies most of the numbers people have are from their network and they know that people will end up not picking numbers they do not have stored on their phones. Hence new entrants into the market may have issues because people will now be forced to resort to using their old numbers to call which will favour the older networks,

i suspect that this new case of killer numbers is started by MTN. This is because Etisalat and Glo have taken most of their customers. of course people are buying etisalat and glo so well these days. Coincidentally people that informed me today of the killer numbers are all MTN staff.
I was wrong!!!! this sums it all up!! thanks you|!!

Dont blame this on Northerners, Blame it on the idiots in Kano. I'm from the North and Even I think this is silly,
A) If they want to protest why not protest against our defunct government
B) Is it only today they realized that the Israelis were occupying Palestine
C) What the hell do they think they're going to achieve

eldee:
No one is saying you need an English name. . . the question is, is it wrong to have one.
I've pointed out that there is nothing wrong with having a Christian name, same way there is nothing wrong with wearing jeans or going to a school that's taught in English.
theres nothing wrong with it but do we need it? Historically the excuse was that to be reborn one must be given a new name? a name the white christian missionaries can pronounce. Does Jesus have a christian name? Since we are now generally more educated and enlightened on these things do we really need to still name out children christian names?
