ozoigbondu: Block head why should he spend 3 billion on a house while people are starving and workers not paid
I don't know what gave you the impression Ekiti people are starving. They may not have much money but they don't starve they have land and they plant their own food.
I don't know whether or not he spent 3billion on the government house you will need to give me proof of that. I also agree that if he spent that amount of money it's ludicrous.
hush15: Okay , I get now. It's GEJ that now pays State salaries... I didn't know o but now I do, however in the meantime,
GEJ till APC kicks the bucket...
actually yes - it's the money given to most states by the FG that covers salaries. Esp those with low IGRs. Its even likely a FG issue, they don't pay the states frequently.
myhoodlink: We all know your stand Sir. Guess it's not the case with Tompolo that has resulted to this? The likes of Festus Keyamo and Femi Falana refusal to speak on the Certificate issue and some other pressing national issues (INEC compromising nature) still baffle majority of us who gave so much respect to these men (once regarded them as role model but not anymore) due to their hard line on national issues. God bless Nigeria.

why do people love to lie, he addressed it many times.
He said the law only requires you to have the form 6 certificate so Buhari having waec is a plus.
shegsky: While EKITI KETE are Rejoicing on top the Real, and Authentic CHANGE that has befallen them, There counterparts in osun state are now MOURNING Over an unpaid 5months salary. Chai, UNA NEVER SEE ANYTHING AT ALL, SEBI NA CHANGE U WANT? ENJOY IT WHILE IT LAST.
that is a lie - Fayose is owing money this I know for a fact.
Bayswater: We are telling you something is commercially insane!
A power plant needs constant supply of gas which can be effectively met by constructing the said gas pipeline as contained in the initial design. Your gas cylinders cannot meet that demand.
Again, I requested to see that CNG tanker, you showed me gas cylinders. God dey o lol
Your prof said they will transport gas to the plant via tankers and I said does he think we are talking about LNG cos I know no sane person would want to supply gas constantly to a plant of that size, you can't just keep up.
So what you are saying is that CNG supplied via these same cylinders are not currently used to generate electricity in Nigeria? Or that it is commercially insane?
Just making sure you cant change your argument again
emiye: What bullocks are you yapping about? There are CNG trucks designed to transport stored CNG to Power plants.
If there is a need for such design, it is very possible, it means the power plants can be ready at a short space of time, and the cost of building such power plants will be far less, as there would no need for a long stretch of gas pipelines from gas suppliers to Power plant, and the issue of pipeline vandalism is out of the way. you wrote My response to that is,your ignorance is not permissible or does not justify that it cant be done.
Now my question is - why isn't this being done at the existing power plants in Nigeria. Doesn't that solve the whole problem?
Bayswater: I've heard of CNG vessel tankers and I know trucks and buses that use CNG as fuel, I don't know of CNG tanker trucks in Nigeria. Could you please show us examples of such trucks in Nigeria?
The island power project you are harping on is designed to get its CNG through a gas pipeline to be constructed from egbin to Lagos Island, they are not even talking about tankers.
The said pipeline is still a pipe dream.
The crux of my argument is you can not run a power plant of that magnitude successfully in Nigeria without having or connecting to a gas pipeline for gas supply.
Yourself and osinbajo should save us the bollocks of using tanker trucks to transport CNG to power plants.
Here you go - the only boob here is you. One for even mentioning LNG in the first place and one for trying to critique the lovely professor :p
Bayswater: Aunty, the conversation has moved on, you came late to the party. We are not talking about LNG, ok.
We are talking about transporting CNG via tanker trucks.
Let's even talk about your regasification,
You really need to check regasification costs, especially the cost of constructing a regasification facility before using that word like it's beans.
You need to chose a single argument here - I'm referring to the 'serious boob' you claimed the prof made.
I'm no expert in power production but this much is clear - the gas supplied to households and power plants are transported as LNG and regasified.
The professor made that statement referring to the issue of transporting fuel to power plants. Now it's clear exactly what the prof was insinuating your problem is now cost?
DukeNija: Answer: There is unemployment everywhere in the world. Greece, Spain, Portugal e.t.c but how can we know those who are unemployed when we dont even have the data of all Nigerians? Unemployment is a factor of may things such as age, education level, skill e.t.c. And some people claim to be unemployed but are completely unemployable. The only way we can get more jobs is to invite foreign investors into the country and that is what President Jonathan has been doing for the past 4 yrs. The government and private sector alone cannot employ the teeming population of Nigerians. Anyways, welcome back to nairaland madam
Thank you and here we are again on opposite sides of the coin
You actually pointed out the other flaws of his inept government - which is unreliable data, shady statistics, an unemployable and unskilled population (it seems you are trying to say its their fault?), lack of transparency and an economy unsuitable for business.
The figures we do have for unemployment are actually the graduates - so we can say 'skilled enough' or 'as skilled as they can get' for clarity.
I don't know how you even want investors to invest in a market with an unskilled labour force, see how you contradicted yourself. Talkless of the fact that our money is rubbish, foreign reserves mismanaged stock market failing, and every angle of the private sector is as corrupt as the government.
Lets not forget there is an unresolved issue of money and arms being smuggled via south africa with links to the presidency.
Clearly the conversations can't be had with the corrupt government so they were probably addressing those issues with Buhari.
He has plenty of international support and other countries have a vested interest in ensuring we curb the insurgency and prevent a potential spread around Africa or even the world.
This is another angle to look at it, a vote for Jonathan is likely going to turn the international community against us. Theyre not going to give the likes of Jonathan any forms of sophisticated arms without trying to invade the country.
They may (im not saying they will) be willing to support Nigeria if they are confident in the integrity of Buharis governance.
the state of Nigerian education when people are using perceived 'fitness' to assess competency.
A man has managed the likes of Nigeria appallingly and all they can say is his opponents are old.
Doyin Okupe is telling you Nigeria cannot afford better services when his colleagues are stealing by the billons.
please who is fooling who here?
DukeNija: SMH at you believing Buhari stands a chance because you got over 300 likes from Jobless Nairalanders. Heck the real voters are at work, in the farm, on the road, in the village, in the market, on the air, in the sea. And guess what, they didnt vote buhari before, it wont change now.
Is is because they are jobless that Buhari stands a chance!
Are you unaware there are more poor and unemployed people in Nigeria than the ones that have work?
akanbiaa: have you calculated the sum total of the land mass of the LGAs in Adamawa, Yobe and bornu all together or is it only bornu? The speaker said the land captured by boko haram is size of Belgium not the land in bornu captured by boko haram get your facts right and research well before talking.
Leave him he's in denial, how will Jonathan even know when he had to be told by a charity that 200 girls were kidnapped.
Something that's been confirmed by independent sources he's still here talking nonsense.
The first mistake that needs to be corrected is the impression you people have given us that 'CNG' would be transported to the IPP sites by tankers.
Again nobody transports CNG with tankers in this age, even CNG refuelling stations are directly connected to gas units which are in turn connected to gas pipelines.
I don't know if you know that CNG requires extensively bigger storage space than natural gas.
Hence transferring/transporting it via 'gas units' or 'your tankers' for long distances to the IPP location seems a daunting and very expensive exercise - it is absurd!
I'm sure you know such plants will require a large amount of steady supply of gas. I just don't see how that could be achieved with 'osinbajo's tankers'.
Even the Island Power Project you people have been using as reference point was designed to have a gas pipeline directly feeding into its gas units.
Unfortunately, they have not been able to lay even a kilometre of this pipeline; that pipeline is still a pipe dream because the cost far outweighs the benefits.
They never considered tanker transportation of gas
What is osinbajo even hiding? He started mentioning tankers, what happened to the gas pipeline they planned to construct?
You really need to quit 'talking theory' here, we need to stop bamboozling our people with strange ideas that can't work abeg.
Currently, there are over 100 production, transport and storage facilities across the country. When LNG is returned to its gaseous state, it is used across the residential, commercial and industrial sectors for purposes as diverse as heating, cooking, generating electricity and manufacturing a wide variety of products. LNG is also used as a fuel for heavy-duty and other vehicles.
Sanchez01: It is a known fact that Ijaws are not Igbos, they're not even close. Unfortunately, Jonathan has successfully played the ethno-religious card well and most people have been blinded. This explains why some Igbos say they would rather vote him than see GMB in power, probably because of the 'Ebele' scam. Worst of all, the Igbos would likely miss out if he is allowed as his aide has spoken that Northerners would get the 2019 presidency ticket of their party.
He failed. The ethnic card doesn't seem to work for most Igbos. I doubt it even works in any other area but his own.
Bayswater: Osinbajo said they will use tankers to supply gas to ipp plants, that's the policy thrust of the APC on power.
I know some people will clap and scream this is a novel idea. Some will even come on Nairaland to state this as fact.
Unfortunately, Yemi osinbajo needs to be corrected that the gas power plants use is not the liquefied natural gas his tankers carry lol He made a serious boob there, I wonder why the PDP guys did not call him out.
REGASIFICATION
Jesus is lawd!! You are arguing just for the sake of arguing?
GEJites have this incredible habit of turning a subject upside down before changing it completely with a display of ignorance akin to that of a baboon. Its incredible!

I have no interest in indulging the argument. I'll just ask you to look at countries with better equality stats and compare them to Nigeria
When you guys say performance, please tell me what you mean, and what evidence you use?
Also does nobody like Amaechi? The way I cannot wait to visit Rivers right now - a place I wouldnt have been caught dead in previously.
Also I'm loving the look of Akwa Ibom - then again, I'm basing this on what I see on the internet and read in the news. I don't live there and haven't checked their economic stats.
I think most lagosians will agree Fashola is a force to be reckoned with, the man is not internationally known for no reason. I'm sure he's heading to the UN.
