PoliticsRe: 2023 Concerns As PDP Negotiates Another Rocky Bend by QuotaSystem:
The PDP have their work cut out for them.

The SE have expressed their indifference to getting PDP's ticket, they do not want to touch the thing with a 10 foot pole.

Wike stands the best chance to clinch it with his clout & financial warchest, as PDP would be insane to blow their chances by attempting a tried & failed Atiku/Obichina ticket. Unfortunately they are still bound to lose to an Osibanjo/Tinubu ticket because apart from inheriting PMB's massive support base, incumbency will also play a big role.

If the PDP however decides to jettison the zoning principle (very unlikely) and go North, then my Tambuwal will likely get it with Wike's support. Though he will struggle with getting a national spread. Win-win regardless.

PoliticsRe: Anyone Saying Northerners Will Pick Atiku Over Tinubu Is Talking Rubbish –Junaid by QuotaSystem: 5:36pm On Nov 10, 2019
Flesh and blood did not reveal this to Junaid. He was absolutely on point.

“Northerners will pick Atiku over Tinubu any day? That is utter nonsense. I want to assure you that northerners are rational, responsible people and they have a lot of political sense. If the choice is going to be between Atiku and Tinubu, don’t listen to anybody who tells you that automatically Atiku will win because Atiku’s track records are not enviable”.
“What are his track records?
I've since realized many people still don't understand arewa politics, Jagaban of Borgu will wipe the floor with Atiku in the North.

Joker that couldn't even win his own polling unit.

PoliticsRe: PDP’s dilemma over 2023 presidency by QuotaSystem:
Wike will get that ticket alongside Tambuwal.

Then they will lose to Osibanjo/Ribadu or El Rufai.

Afterall the SE seems not to want the ticket.

Having realised that power is between two of these sects, the Yoruba and the Hausa merged in 2015 and they produced Buhari. “In 2023, if the Igbo don’t find themselves holding onto the Yoruba as a friend or the Hausa as a friend and allow the Hausa and the Yoruba to hold themselves together as in 2015, then that ticket will produce the president.

“That means the Yoruba will produce the president, the Northerners will produce the vice president because that is the reality of the number. Politics is in number. Since the demise of Zik, the Igbo had never had a leader and that is the fault of the Igbo race today

The East complains about MARGINALIZATION. Until now, I never understood they were referring to how utterly reprehensible pdp has been treating them since the founding of the party despite their commitment to the party EVEN WHEN IKEMBA HIMSELF COMTESTED ON A PLATFORM DIFFERENT FROM PDP

The East wasn't swayed to vote Ikemba when pdp fielded a Northerner against him. Now, that is what I call LOYALTY. Such loyalty deserves a very handsome reward. But pdp, as dark as their heart is, has refused to acknowledge the sacrifices made for the party by the East, a sacrifice no other part of the country can boast of.

Indeed, I agree this day, given the wicked disposition of the party towards the East, that they've been, and remain marginalized, by the same party they have nurture for 20 tortuous years.

Such a sad commentary.
Actually the East are not bothered. They don't want the PDP ticket. They are happy, willing slaves to the party.

In fact, it is APC's ticket they want cheesy (how dare we expect them to bother their darling PDP)

That's why It's so obvious that their cries for "equity & fairness" are as fake as Metuh's ailment.

PoliticsRe: Tinubu Vs Obi Who Will You Vote In Presidential Election by QuotaSystem: 10:26pm On Nov 05, 2019
1. All I see is Buhari this Buhari that lol. Wake up mate, we already won and the elections are over grin; we already heard worse but the majority made their choice.

2. Your juvenile attempt at emotional blackmail doesn't change the fact that the North does not owe you any help, support or political favours to secede no matter how badly they would like to let you go. Especially recently since Ndigbo have been consumed with antagonizing, refusal to support and strong opposition to Arewa and her beloved Buhari

3. The regionalized "Nigeria of our dreams" was cut short by the greed of none other than your ancestor Aguiyi Ironsi who broke that existing structure with Unification Decree 34 of 1966.

Bye.

IGBOSON1:
You really are something else!

You feel Tinubu and Obi are 'non-starters' based on the criteria i listed yet you're rooting for Buhari: a blundering bigot who if you innocently ask to produce the certificate he claims is with the military, you'd have twenty SANS knocking on your door the next day; someone who got his breaks in life not based on individual brilliance or educational achievement, but based on quota-system and federal-character, and who now finds himself way in over his head as president of a complex country like Nigeria; a man who badluck follows to the extent of plunging Nigeria into recession on both occassions we were unfortunate to have him as head-of-state; a man whose brain is always two steps behind his mouth and ends up putting his foot in it anytime he gives a unscripted interview (any wonder he's now stopped the meet-the-press interviews his predecessors used to give?); a man who's made governance a nepotistic and clannish affair by surrounding himself with core northern muslims (esp' Fulani) to the exclusion of other parts of the country? Apparently, it's one (low) standard and expectations for Buhari and another for Tinubu and Obi. One can only conclude you set your expectations for Buhari so low due to ethno-religious considerations!

You claim Peter Obi is "....being backed a horde of antagonistic, zoo chanting, caustic tongued ipob members & apologists". Care to share links to news stories/reports where IPOB specifically backed Peter Obi? Seems to me you see all Igbo as members of IPOB hence your taggng the support Atiku/Obi got from Ndigbo as 'IPOB support'!

In any event, your god Buhari is backed by the bloodthirsty bokos, herdsmen and bandits but that didn't stop you supporting him for a first and second term in office did it? I hope you remember when the nasty bokos chose Buhari as their representative when talks were planned with the GEJ gov't; you remember when Buhari stormed Ibadan during the OBJ years and rudely told Lam Adesina, 'your people are killing my people' (his people being the herdsmen tormenting us today); you remember when Buhari said, 'a strike against boko haram is a strike against the north'?

Since the start of this useless Buhari admin' in 2015, thousands of innocent Nigerians have been murdered in cold blood by the bokos, herdsmen and bandits...obviously much more than the kidnapper Evans could ever dream of doing (i'm not even sure Evans has killed anyone in any of his operations, but i stand to be corrected), but can you refer us to news reports/links reporting where some of these scumbags were caught, their trials given the same oxygen of publicity the Evans case got, and where they were convicted and handed stiff punishment for their actions? Given the number of Nigerians laid waste by these bastards and given that your 'capable' Buhari has been running things since 2015, we should have a handful of convictions to point to shouldn't we?

You said, "In any community, or nation, where resources are scarce or opinions are conflicting, there are bound to be competing interests. In America it is pro-abortion/gun control vs anti-abortion/guncontrol. In Britain it could be pro-brexit vs anti-brexit. In France it is pro-immigration vs anti-immigration. In Nigeria it could be pro-federal character/regionalism/state police vs. anti-fed.character etc. You get the drift. Politics is ALL about interests. If your desires/interests do not tally with mine (e.g. focus on agriculture vs oil, investment in seeking hydrocarbons in the North and solid minerals development),how will I not seek a candidate that will champion my interests? How can that then be twisted to mean "self-centeredness"? I hope you're keeping up to speed." You know what? I actually agree with your submission here! If searching for oyel in the north is one of your obsessions and criteria for supporting a prospective candidate then by all means knock yourself out! But isn't this a moot point anyway seeing as you lot claim you've already found it? In any case, aren't you preempting both individulas by assuming Obi would be against it while Tinubu would be for it? Have you given Obi a fair hearing and opportunity to present his feelings on the matter before writing him off as someone that would be against 'your interests' in this regard?

On the issue of the closure of the borders, when i say you lot are lawless and have scant regard for agreements and rule of law, this is exactly what i mean? If you say the ECOWAS protocols on free movement of people, goods and services is not in the best interest of Nigeria then fuc'king pull out of ECOWAS! You can't go against signed agreements freely entered into with other countries just b'cos your Customs and Immigrations are incompetent and filled with crooks! The buck stops at the table of the heads of these establishments, but i'm guessing they're still in their jobs for the same reason the incompetent military chiefs are still in theirs: nepotsim, northern hegemony and placing the interests of the core muslim north before that of the entire country! This is actually what 'self-interest' means to you and Buhari...protecting your northern hegemony! Forget all the obfuscating of the issues you try to engage in! Besides the thought of a Igbo president being a pill too bitter for you to swallow, you feel a Igbo presidency will level the playing field, hence you would rather it went to a people you feel are 'benefitting' from the present status-quo and would maintain it in trust for you till such a time when you retrieve your 'birthright'!

Buhari doesn't 'symbolise' and project anything! He's a sick looking geriatric that needs to put a lid on his lust for power and revenge and retire to his cows in Daura! Looking the part of a sick old man is different from just being slim-framed! You probably think being a despot who has scant regard for the rule of law is projecting his authority and looking presidential! I don't blame you though as you're a product of your environment! I bet either you, your father or at least one of your uncles were in the armed forces during the miltary era and held a top gov't position. This would inform your thinking that riding rough-shod over the rule of law is a projection of authority and power!

I think it's hilarious the way you lot tag anything you don't wanna hear as 'hate-speech'! It's about time someone told you a few home truths, and i suppose this is why you hate the likes of Mazi Kanu, Reno Omokri, Timi Frank, Femi Fani-Kayode, etc! They want to shake the table with you standing on it! wink

You accuse Peter Obi of being a bigot because he didn't speak up to condemn Mazi Kanu for his utterances which Quotasystem has declared is 'hate-speech'! Could it be that he trusted that if Mazi Kanu had any case to answer that the courts are there to handle it? In any case, from the time boko haram started their madness around 2011 till the day he was sworn in to office in 2015, care to point out where your god Buhari condemned their murderous activities and commented on the issue other than his comment that 'an attack on boko haram is an attack on the north'? When they pointed at him him to be their representative in talks, didn't he -to all intents and purposes- turn around and flee the scene as fast as his scrawny legs could carry him? Why don't you hold Peter Obi to the same standards in which you hold Buhari?

Any negative sentiments you see Ndigbo show towards Buhari are because we know his vile, vindictive and bigoted nature only too well! They are a only a response to the 'love' he's shown Ndigbo right from the late 60s to date! Buhari partook of the counter-coup in '66 when Igbo officers were slaughtered in cold blood (it's ok if you say their muder by Buhari and his band of murderers were justified b'cos of the Nzeogwu coup...i'll accept that's your position and move on); Buhari took part and/or benefitted from the coup that removed Shagari from office when Ekwueme was being lined up to pick the NPN presidential ticket for '87 elections (how convenient wink)....the Shagari/NPN regime hasn't committed even 10% of the blunders and wickedness Buhari has committed since 2015 yet he's still sitting tight in office; Buhari then went on to place Shagari (the head of the deposed gov't) under house arrest while placing Ekwueme in prison: Buhari has been an advocate for sharia throughout Nigeria; Buhari sent down his Fulani soldiers to murder protesting Igbo youth in cold blood....till today, no enquiry, no apology, nothing; Buharis' intolerance and dogs-and-baboons statement in 2011 led to the death of many promising Nigerian youth corpers, a significant number of whom were Igbo; Buhari made his 5%/97% speech early in his first term, saying those that gave him 5% votes shouldn't expect anything substantial from his gov't and he went ahead to make good on his threat shocked ; Buhari doesn't think any Igbo is good enough to head any of the military and paramiliatry institutions...they're all headed by core northern muslims, with just one or two southerners thrown in to fulfill all rightousness; etc-etc-etc! Now care to tell me how Igbos have shown hate to Buhari and when it started?

It's funny seeing you trying to launder Tinubus' image and dress him in a garb he doesn't merit! Dude, any idiot could govern Lagos and blag his way through two terms! Giving Lagos' position as the major industrial/commercial hub of the country, any incompetent governor would have enough funds to mask his incompetence! Given the states position in the country, its GDP was bound to grow organically! Lagos doesn't have much going for it besides this huge GDP of which you speak. It's yet to complete its intra-city railway; faces perenial flooding; has pot-hole ridden streets outside the affluent areas of VI, Lekki and Ikoyi; is rife with crime; is congested and highy polluted; lacks constant and adequate water supply; is filled with destitutes and the homeless; has its fair share of slums; etc. With all the billions of dollars the state has got since 1999 (a large percentage of which is in Tinubus' deep pockets) there's little on ground to show for it!

Lagos is all about Tinubu, his greed and desire to remain relevant and be calling the shots to protect his vast business interests! You say he finds good leaders abi? I presume Ambode is one of them? Care to tell me why he wasn't supported for a second term in office?

Igbos murdered Ahmadu Bello? That's news to me! Could have sworn it was Nzeogwu and his fellow coup plotters! I presume you're justifying Buharis' wickedness towards Ndigbo based on this...the murder of Ahmadu Bello, et-al?

That 'quit notice' was nothing more than bluffing....placing the cart before the horse! You expect Ndigbo to listen to an unofficial group of northern bigots and relocate back to the south-east when your federal gov't haven't said anything on the matter and even send their Fulani soldiers to murder Igbo youths agitating for a referendum on secession? You expect Ndigbo to vacate the north when said north is still benefitting from VAT and receipts from sale of oyel and gas from Igboland? Last time we left you hateful lot in 1967 what happened? Didn't you send your army chasing after us like Pharaoh did to the Israelites?

Dude, i'd sooner expect help from the devil before looking your way! All i and the likes of IPOB are pointing out is your hypocrisy, deceit and two-faced approach to 'one Nigeria'! If you put your money where your mouth is you'd know you don't sit on the fence when you're sharing the same country with a people you despise the way you despise the Igbo! You would jump off the fence and get to work to try and detach these people from you the same way IPOB have realised living with your ilk is untenable and are doing something about it! Nigeria is the only country where muslims with a wahabi/fundamentalist mindset are hellbent on sharing the same country with 'unbelievers'...a people they despise to the point of justifying murder! Have you no shame and self-pride?

I can tell you for free that Ndigbo don't hate Yoruba, Hausa or even the Fulani! We just feel sharing the same country with the Fulani with a status-quo nobody is in a hurry to change is detrimental to our good health and socio-economic prospects! From 1966 to date we have lost millions of our kith and kin simply by sharing the same country with the Fulani! You would see a different reaction from Ndigbo to 'one Nigeria' the moment we all revert back to the Nigeria our forefathers agreed upon on the eve of 1st Oct' 1960!

What Equity exactly? Yorubas (Obj n Falae) were favored due to Abiola’s ultimate sacrifice. That’s Equity

Power was returned to the north because it had to be shared btw north-south. That’s equity

In-btw GEJ (SS) selfishly benefitted from the demise of his President and even contested a second term ...and the SE fully supported him that was the beginning of the problem. The ignorance of the East allowed a minority tribe get power before them.

Equity has now been tossed the window thanks to GEJ and Because of the East’s vilification of the ruling party, Now it’s a case of policitical muscle and the west have that muscle within the ruling party.

Which easterner can pick the ticket under APC? Is it Kalu? Okorocha? Ngige? Or wait you think a Decampee will just come and be given ticket under APC? Please check APC’s history and tell the number of decampees who have been given an important ticket? Those I know I.e Akpabio even lost sef!

APC knows they have no political structure and value in the East and any Easterner they present will be like gifting ASO ROCK back to the PDP.

Now on the PDP side which Easterner can boast of having 40% of the North’s suppprt?

See it’s a loose loose for the East, what saddens me is the arrogance of not recognizing one’s failure to plan diligently.

The PDP has a call to make. And it has to make it now.The time has come for the love to be requited. The southeast has stood with, sat with and slept with the PDP.

The southeast has served the PDP dutifully. The pear of the southeast is done. The PDP must allow it eat it During the days of ballot boxes stuffing PDP won presidential elections in some south east states with more margins than
Gnassigbe Eyadema and Paul Biya won elections in their one part enclaves at the peak of their 'dominance'.
During the days of card reader, in 2019 Anambra gave PDP more votes than Rivers and Kano and Adamawa.
Power ought to swing south in 2023. It should.
The ghost of 2019 elections has been buried by the supreme court. The rebuilding of the opposition must start now. And it must begin with a reshuffling of the party executive to reflect the new aims and leanings of the party.
After Obasanjo, after Jonathan, the PDP has no choice. Anything else will be treachery.
The PDP has made a lot of noise lately about its love for the Igbo. It's been the party stocking ethnic flames and sharpening divisions . The southeast has sung, danced and played the flute for the PDP.
Can the PDP let it blow its nose and drink a little water?
Beautiful wordplay mate.

The SE doesn't seem to mind the fruitless servitude. They're more interested in pulling out the tablecloth from under the sumptuous meal that is southern Presidency. They don't realize the pepper-soup is primed to splash right in their eyes.

Talk about Stockholm's Syndrome on steroids... cheesy cheesy

The North has been in power for these long cause the South has simply refused to get its sh.it together and unite, stop overestimating yourselves, I know you are so happy seeing the disunity currently plaguing the South, but you idiots will be in for a rude awakening soon... we all know the North still ranks pathetically below in all indices of human and infrastructural development and growth in Nigeria... power is definitely coming to the South come 2023, and it doesn't matter which region gets it (whether SW, SE, SS). Forget the petty tribal innuendos here between Igbos and Yorubas, inwardly the greater South are consolidating their ace cards to permanently put the North where they rightfully belong - in the dustbin of socio-political irrelevance at all spheres.
Lol what do you think we have been fixing & are still developing? Have developments about our railways, dry ports, agriculture etc. been flying over your head? We had all been plagued with the curse of retrogressive military rule for decades whether Yoruba, Nupe or Hausa-Fulani and are only now recovering so don't kid yourself smiley.

What have your own southern leaders done in your own states despite your much bigger allocations + derivation than the North? Are your roads, schools, hospitals not in shambles? Your HDI? Have southerners not led the country for the last 14 of our 20 year democracy? Who else is responsible for where we are (including the North)? Where has your leadership taken us all in power, education, healthcare, infrastructure etc? You think you will suddenly develop super powers in 2023? Lol.

Take a seat my friend.

Than if that's the case Igbo's would contest the election

Rochas is the only one who has openly declared interest to run under APC he did that this year may

Oga only a dummy would believe u are from the core north ....everything about u smell yoruba
That's better. Grow some balls. Contest and lose with your head held high.

Chickening out to kiss arse because you're scared of Karma is just embarrassing.

At this point I don't care if you think I smell Russian or Chinese; if only you knew the irony of your dummy statement grin

Why didn't the south west contest in 2015 ? Or 2019 ? You Yoruba guys have an edge in the north for now so its not a fair fight

Same reason you people didn't contest in 2015 is the same reason we cant now
So were Sowore & Fela Durotoye Fulani?

And you think I'm Yoruba? What are you smoking this early?

The SE is scared silly of contesting against the SW because YOU know you're certain to lose after burning bridges with the North. QED.
