VEVEDIHNO: Someshuld tackle diz Questions for me
(1) 4x-3=3x+y=2y+5x-12
(2) The Ages Of Tosan and Isa Differ by 6 and the product of their ages is 187.Find Their Ages.
Tanks In Advance. Question 1. I dont know if its the right way to work it but here's what I did. Divide it into two parts 4x-3=3x+y--------- eq 1 and 3x+y=2y + 5x-12.--------eq 2 rearranging eq 1 4x-3x-y=3 x-y=3---------eq 3 rearranging eq 2 3x-5x+y-2y=-12 -2x -y =-12--------eq 4 solving eq 3 and 4 simultaneously x-y=3 -2x-y=-12 from eq 3, we can see x= 3+y, putting this back in eq 4 -2(3+y)-y=-12 -6-2y-y=-12 -6-3y=-12 -3y=-12+6 -3y=-6 y=2 and from x=3+y x=3+2 x=5 x=5 and y=2 check: 4x-3= 4(5)-3=20-3=17 3x+y=3(5)+2= 15+2=17 2y+5x-12=2(2)+5(5)-12 =4+25-12 =29-12 =17. There might be a shorter option but here's my method. |

Ilekeh: I don't trust US army. The US does not care about its black citizens, what makes you think they care about Africa's largest black population? You are right, but can't we fight Boko boys without US? honestly, this blaming US makes us look like fools. Even the women in Syria are fighting ISIS. What is stopping Nigerians from Marching into Sambisa forest and fighting Boko haram one on one. Im tired. |

abbey621: My friend, let me lend you my 2 cents! The reason many graduates are jobless is because they keep waiting for the perfect opportunity, yet missing the chance to improve their resume while the search continues. As a fresh graduate you have no experience, no workforce training, you are basically a liability. As an HR manager I would be very reluctant to hire someone without experience when someone with a few years of experience competes for the same job. Try not to look at it from the monetary aspect, I know everybody wants to make money but there are systematic ways of doing things. My first ever job was at a grocery store, it was depressing and unfit for a graduate like me but in the long run it helped me learn valuable skills which propelled me into a wonderful career in another sector. Whenever I hear stories like people searching for a job for 1, 2 or even 3 years I just shake my head, opportunities are there you just have to work towards it. You are right! But it is difficult to get experience because there are very few jobs in Nigeria. |

Boss13: Did anybody read this - this is the third time, planes with arms airborned to chad have landed in Kano.
Something is not right. Mercenaries from chad have been caught fighting with insurgents. Boko haram has superior firearms and our military is struggling with dilapidated and wornout guns.
I think it is time to march up to the Chadian embassy. They are behind our issues. Also, I thought sheriff claims he is not aware of boko haram, then what is he doing getting clearance for the plane?
I am afraid to think about this - but it seems that our darling president knows more or may be involved with boko haram indirectly and if he is not, then he doesn't need to be our president because a smart president must know about issues happening in his country, especially security issues. Let us March up to Borno first. |

ILIDEFI: Those of you that can't wait to see GEJ out of power, I want to remind you that the grass is always greener on the other side. I'm very certain people would wish Jonathan remained in power, if at all he loses out next year. Buhari is not the saviour of this country.
Back to the topic. What exactly do you want Jonathan to do now, that you're calling him docile? Even South Africa that seized our cash for arms still ultimately returned it. Aren't you aware this is a diplomatic issue, and should be handled tactically?
What I hate about many Nigerian youth is that they come online and spew several gibberish against the government, when they are utterly clueless about governance. Exactly, the other day, they insulted the hell out of me for telling them that calling our president bad names is wrong. Do they want Jonathan to go to war.?? Nairalanders confuse me. |

philips70: France has had strong military presence in Chad for years to the knowledge of all. I can authoritatively tell you this as I have been Ndjamena airport severally and there are French military planes all around. Novotel hotel in Ndjamena is always occupied with French military personnel for as many years that you can imagine before what you know as Boko Haram. Nigerian intelligence agencies should do the job they are paid for and stop chasing shadows and embarrassing themselves to the whole world. You're right! |
Politics › Re: France Admits Ownership Of Seized Plane In Kano by raayah(f): 11:33pm On Dec 07, 2014 |
edogirl2: It said that the flight was covered by a diplomatic clearance given by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja, noting that the Autonov 124 Russian commercial plane was forced to land at the Kano airport because of dense air traffic at Ndjamena airport,Chad.
If the plane's stop in Kano was impromptu due to 'dense traffic in Ndjamena airport,' then it means the plane was not originally scheduled to stop on Nigerian soil. So how and why did France obtain prior diplomatic clearance 'given by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja.'
Secondly, the suggestion of dense air traffic at Chad's airport is laughable. How many flights leave or enter that airport per day.
Thirdly, if France indeed obtain diplomatic clearance from Nigeria, I would have thought its landing in Kano would not surprised Nigerian officials (DSS etc), and not only were they surprised, they ordered its detention and search
Fourth, why would Nigeria grant diplomatic clearance for a gun running exercise between France and its puppet nation Chad
The truth is far from what is being revealed. This was a gun running exercise by France that went awry. They have been scrambling behind closed doors all weekend to get Nigerian government (fast becoming another France puppet) to agree to this made up story of prior diplomatic clearance. We the ordinary people are not fooled. As long as a foreign government plane is flying over a country, they need diplomatic clearance, It is a very standard rule. It surprised them because the plane was only supposed to fly through not make an emergency stop. All foreign government planes passing through Nigeria's airspace need diplomatic clearance. You have to come up with a better argument. |

50calibre: I admire your entrepreneurial drive, but this not a viable business in any way, sooner or later it will collapse like a pack of cards.
I've spent considerable amount of time in lagos to know this type of business is never going to get you rich. At best you're just going to be surviving, living from hand to mouth.
Lets start with the location of your business: I haven't been to badagry but I know it's a one of the most rural parts of lagos which means it's population is largely made up of low income folks who won't be willing to pay good buck for a haircut unlike the affluent areas. Then there is the issue of rent.
Now electricity: We all know power supply in Nigeria is almost non-existent, so it's safe to assume you'd be running on a generator. Last heard, petrol was N100/litre. How much will it cost you to run that generator for a day & how much turnover are you going to be making (take into account periodic breakdown/servicing)
Then to the game issue: Nothing attracts the police, gamblers & criminals like that game. Your barber/gaming/laundry shop is going to be attracting trouble like honey attract flies. The parody outfit called Nigerian police are literally going to be feeding off you and your potential laundry customers are going to stay away from your establishment as it will be perceived as a haven for crooks.
How do I know this? I used to be a prolific gambler, the type to travel miles in search of a gambling joint regardless where it's located. I remember on one occasion I was in one of those gaming houses, (A friend suggested that we patronise of them, never knew how dangerous that could be) we did patronise them a couple of times but one day while we were all glued to the TV, the police swooped in & rounded all of us up, no where to run, no where to hide. We were ushered in a straight line into an awaiting van ready to drive us to the police station. I was lucky, because I was a minor then, I wasn't thrown into one of their horrid cells, when work got to my people, they came and bailed me out with cash. This was early 2000s, the PS1 era so I don't know if that's still happening.
My advice to you; be aware of the dangers of running a game business and prepare for it.
- Keep some savings for the police or settle the police beforehand so they'd look away.
- Have few thugs handy to help you when matters get out of hand.
- Don't just rely on your barbing business, branch into other forms of business legal or not. You can run a successful weed/cannabis enterprise, you buy in bulk at cheaper rates, then you distribute at your own price. Your business would provide cover for you. Just settle the police & they'd look away, in Nigeria anything goes. When the going gets tough the tough gets going. (I know this because barber shops are one of the easiest places to lay your hands on weed)
- If business is booming, don't place all your eggs in one basket. Save up & open other shops putting your protégés in charge. https://38.media.tumblr.com/83d12362604f8797e8778aea5df6bb85/tumblr_mfo7n2BHwr1qe4fdco1_500.gif |
