There was a great counterculture movement that developed in Europe and America during the 1960s. It is often called the hippies movement. Generally it was just a rebellion against the standards of society and protests against established norms. The vegan movement, feminism, gay sex and sexual freedom, drug experimentation and legalization, anti-war and pacifist movements, civil rights movement, make love not war music by John lennon, music of rebellion by the great rock bands including our own fela and his british wife etc all blossomed during the 60s and 70s. Students were in the trenches and forefront of such movements and what better way to eschew and spit on societal norms than to join your blood and heritage with a forbidden and spurned race.

And many of our men then were quite exceptional, remember it was the best of us that were sent abroad and such brilliance, courage and resilience would always be admired..and of course there is that curiosity of checking out if all the centuries old rumors of the prowess of the black men in bed.

So quite a number of factors came to play I guess.

Except the man never said disinfectant like spray or bleach, he was talking about using light to disinfect the body, this treatment while unproven or untested is certainly a possibility that should be looked at for crucial cases especially since warmer regions are showing more resistance to the virus than colder ones. The way the opening post was written suggested he was talking about your household disinfectants like Dettol or something.

Thank you chief. In the friendly game against Brazil, okocha gave two brilliant passes that should have resulted in goals...mba, nah so dem throw way am. Okocha is always looking up for players to pass to, always, often times someone that should be running into positions will stay too close to him expecting to be passed to, okocha knows where the ball is and keeps rolling and moving it and avoiding tackles while watching out for who to pass to. I have been frustrated more from players not being able to trap his passes, not anticipating his pass and squandering chances than from all his showboating because he often gets pass his man and makes his pass.

There was a time if you had chicken pox you would be quarantined, I remember I was quarantined. Now there are effective treatments, those measures are no longer needed.

Which of the diseases you mentioned is as contagious as covid19 and which of them has no vaccine or something that can help cure it, and which of them, and which of them would a lockdown had been effective against.
When ebola was on rampage, there were lockdowns in Congo, Sierra Leone and liberia, even a village in the east was placed on lockdown when one of the nurses fled there.
If we don't lockdown, the whole health system can collapse and we would be dying of every opportunistic diseases that we have already been handling.
