Can I also bring mine, same issue, I just bought it Nigerian used though, and it was working few weeks ago when I bought it, parked it down since I was out of town, got back and AC is blowing normal air. They said the compressor has hook and it may be cos of the evaporator or bad gas, that I'll have to change it.

I called ac mechanic. He checked and said compressor and evaporator are damaged and both need replacement.

I almost fainted when he told me. Car that I bought tokunbo in June.

the misfire is only at idle, under no load, and disappears when i press the gas pedal. So to keep the engine alive, l need to constantly keep throttling. However, to prevent this my mech has had to raise the rpm

the most common issue on older cars is a vacuum leak (or dirty throttle body / idle air control valve). Best first step: clean the throttle body and IAC.

I need to let u know madam Radu that your people insist on collecting 2k plus VAT even after showing them I have appoint from u(nairaland). They actually wanted to make me pay 8k non refundable if am not fixing the issue but discounted if am fixing. I had to stand my ground and the lady don't even know jack. The guys at the receptions don't know what they are doing and don't know what scanning entails after asking about the scan. At least there is need to be technical person attending to customers too. The experience was not good. Don't let me use bad word. I know u may not be aware of this, don't let them put ur integrity to doubt.

the same way she's driven all the models and classes, she knows those who belong to the Benz Club.

Acura makes some of the best value for money cars, hands down. And the MDX is one of her best models. Infact I was looking at moving to a 2016 MDX, before an encounter steered me towards the 550. I did some research and found it to better suit what I needed.

To blindly argue that you "lose features" when you move from an MDX to a 550 That's just plain ridiculous.

Blockage solved

That drain under the windscreen was blocked totally with mud, allowing water to sit which was getting into the screws over the Immo box without gaskets.

I've unblocked one and drying out the Immo box,
Unblocking the other then I'd pour the 2nd bucket of water to see if water still gets in the footwell.

I didn't find the gaskets so I kazeemized them using the rubber from some old suspension parts and my drill

Seems I'd have to go get who'd take off my mats and clean out all the water under

About performance -
So let me understand this. . . . An ML550 is heavier than an MDX, but still manges to have way better 0-60 and quarter mile times. Yet in your opinion, the 402hp and 607Nm from a twin turbo V8 are just figures on paper and do not translate to real world gain. ( Lol na wa ) YOU ASKED IF YOU CAN ACTUALLY USE THEM AND THE ANSWER WAS NO. LIKE PREVIOUS WRITTEN, I AM ABLE TO DO WAY MORE IN MY CURRENT ACURA THAN I WAS ABLE TO IN THE MERCEDES. THE FACT THAT NO ONE SEEMS TO HAVE ONE SHOULD TELL YOU SOMETHING IF YOU'RE OBSERVANT. I'M THE ONLY ONE WHO EVEN BOTHERED TO ANSWER YOU.

Better Safety Ratings ?
Better Safety is not just about saying My car has better safety features . . . . there are standardized safety tests, there are figures. there are " RATINGS" . . . .
IIHS tests evaluate crashworthiness and crash avoidance/mitigation, and the 2013 ML has higher ratings

The Merc offers heated seats, heated steering, KeylessGO ( push to start) , adjustable ride height, so so many things I don't even care to mention.

About the screen, Lol seriously? . . . this LCD screen is what you're hyping ? what exactly are you going to enjoy on that? very impractical aspect ratio, it's 2020! LCDs are mundane. even the screen on the ML550 is barely tolerable IMO,
you can enjoy HD interface with "capacitive" (not resistive as is on the MDX) touch for less than $1000.

This is a Kenwood DDX9905s .
I have it in a 2008 MDX and its better value than any stock MDX head unit.
A 21inch screen Is not a "real world gain"

And for the umpteenth time , lane keeping assist and collison mitigation are not the same as real autonomous driving , . . .those are safety features.

Thank you, I guess as much but the fan and compressor pick immediately I put ON the ignition even without starting the engine, while both are switched inside. This started after the AC man repair the condenser leak which was not before his handwork.

Hello Gazzuzz and other auto chiefs in the house. PLEASE, HELP ME OUTTA THIS SITUATION.

I bought a fairly-used Toyota Corolla 2006 model in June. Had no issues whatsoever until mid-July, I noticed my car jerks when accelerating. After a few days, I noticed it jerked when shifting gears. My mechanic has changed ATF, serviced the transmission, changed fuel pump, services fuel injectors, nozzles, cleaned everything cleanable...No change.

I decided to leave it be and ignore the jerks until a new one started - rough idling. The engine vibrates for a few seconds when idle and sometimes when accelerating. I went back to him and told him the jerks were also still there. A scan was placed there, the scanning guy said the brain box wasn't in order, he requested I change the brain box. Did that on Friday at Ladipo, drove down to my house at Agbado, engine still trembles while idle but jerks seemed to stop.

Just drove my car this evening and all the jerks have started again...

Please help!!! I've spent so much and tired of these mechanics.
