Pls in quote clarify ma? Are you saying am Kazeem
no, I said you are a better option than wasting money on a kazeem or spending "extravagant" amounts at my shop. Why would you even think that's what I said huh Have you ever seen me just come out and start abusing someone who was jejely minding their business??

Apart from the name calling and cost etc .. I do understand your points to certain point.. But finding a good mechanic is a nightmare itself ,your kazeem mechanics are the worse of the worse, I don't care what nobody says.. The only way kazzem mechanics come in handy is for simple things you as a car owner can do ,but too lazy to do .... I will think twice before I let "kazzem" do the simplest things like change brakes ,coolant ,oil ..change ..

And when it comes to engine matter, have been pretty good with that byself , if any mechanic at all has to work on my engine , it will be minor things like change seal ,change sparkplugs, compressor fuel injector etc ....so in essence car owners should take the responsibility to try and do preventive maintainence on their own. Preventive maintenance can be as easy as reading owners manuals ,buying original parts, checking car fluid etc .. When you do this you can reduce frequent visits to mechanic......

Add On...... What we fail to understand is that most of this your road side /kazzem mechanics . About 90% of them are not using the correct tools for the Job .. One of my uber cars was given to a road side mechanic to replace balljoint or something with the "leg" of the car .. The driver almost got into a serious accident, we now found out that the mechanic didn't tighten the parts well. Either he was drunk ,didnt care or better yet didnt have the correct tools for the job..........

Radauto might be expensive for some ,but she has all the necessary tools and proper equipment to get the job done.... Does your road side mechanic have the machine to lift your car up to check the undercarriage of your car and properly drain oil and check for leaks? etc Everything isn't for everybody..

You just have to be selective when to use road side mechanic and when to use expensive shops with all the right tools and equipment.....
Very well said.

Also, anything we fix we WARRANTY. even when you bring your own parts, our labor is still warrantied for 90 days. And guess what? As more shops open up, any of them will cover your warranty. Break down in ibadan? Covered. Port Harcourt? Covered. Mainland? Covered. Will kazeem do that? You get what you pay for. You haven't even seen the tip of what I'm up to yet.

It's unfortunate some false narratives keep being put out but those who use us have tried the cheap alternative and they know why they come to us. Like one or two people pointed out, no be by force to come. That is why I offered free diagnosis so at least you will know what is wrong before someone tells you rubbish. You are free to fix your car wherever works for you.

When I opened up shop I was very clear this was not about opening a single shop. If that was the case I could have opened something way smaller that cost way less. This was about getting the entire industry to change which required a LOT of noise and we already have. Some dealers have been adjusting their pricing because of us, even some of the techs on NL are now offering guarantees and adjusting how they do things because of us. Kazeems sef are starting to realize customers aren't as gullible as they used to be. That's what I want. A complete shift in the whole industry. What I'm looking at is way bigger than a few shocks here and there. Education. So whoever has an issue with me, please fix your car wherever makes you happy and those who see value in what I'm offering will still come to me.

ENOUGH of mechanics taking advantage of people.

P.S any tech we let go of is a way better option than kazeem. You want their info, ask. Or go to blackbishop. He seems to be doing his thing.

Hey, email the guys at the shop because I don't know off the top of my head and I traveled yesterday and am exhausted and waiting for hurricane. The alignment for your car I think it's 3k. Definitely no more than 5k but I'm pretty sure it's 3k

Okay, it's due for a change from the last picture. Make sure to use the right fluid. I posted an online tool in some places to help you figure out the right fluid.

There's nothing wrong with providing unsolicited opinion/criticism if it is constructive. I was looking forward to learning stuff and having a reason to reconsider.

You should also have understood the line of conversation before asking me why I asked for an opinion that I did not.

In any case thanks for the feedback. It's all positive so far
oya, no vex. If you say na even Keke better pass I agree. Just make sure after you buy am na me go dey do the maintenance and repair. This one must not pass me by grin

Sorry but you never gave a substantiated opinion. You don't expect someone to just follow your opinion for the sake of it, if you can't bring relevant points - not family and wealth talks which was not in question.

This is a forum, not a church/Mosque. People don't say amen to whatever a Pastor says here. Bizzle2 was very correct in the way he approached your answer.
Thank you number 3. It's like you didn't see my original response when I said don't @me because I didn't feel like have a drawn out argument. Plus reading comprehension is an issue with "you". I said I've owned many variants of both cars in question to show I know what I'm saying is now wealth talk. Insecurity will not kill Nigerians.

Please just pass by with your other two personalities. That is all the time i have to dedicate to the subject.

Sigh . . . typical Nairaland . . Band wagon support and butt kissing.

Did you even look at what my post was about ?

Did I ever ask for an MDX vs ML550 comparison ? that conversation came from saying " The mdx is better and has more features".

I asked for feedback from ML550 owners with extended user experience.
"Feedback" , "User Experience" , not opinion on which to buy or whether to buy.

Tell me if our roads have given you issues with the Airmatic suspension ,
Tell me how long before you needed to replace them
Tell me how reliable your turbo has been,
Tell me if the 400 hp has been enjoyable and actually useable, etc
useful feedback only a real user can give

I am irritated by the blind support on this forum sometimes, especially coming from adults.

everybody should be able to respectfully disagree or debate.

Lol, so they're suddenly . . . "minute features that don't translate to real world advantage",
but these features were what you originally touted as The MDx's advantage over the ML550 ?
Now clearly the 2013 MDX even lags behind the 2013 ML550 in that.

18 inch screen abi 9 inch screen?

I dont know who would be looking to buy a N10m+ car because of 21 inch screen or input sources, when even a 2001 mdx can have those features with many after market units and android screens.

Real world value in a Luxury SUV for me are in the

Performance
Safety
Interior/ Exterior Styling
Comfort
Handling

And those are the important categories where I expected you to tell me where the MDX beats the 550 not in the screen size.
The only things you can Max out in any MDX are comfort/ convenience features , onboard entertainment and a few other "minute features like you called them. No maxing out can turn an MDX to a 550.

Mercedes has 13 different classes and over 65 models, are you sure you've had all ? grin

For the record, I would pick a 2008 mdx over a 2008 ml 550,
Enjoy your purchase. This is why I rarely give advice on NL any more. Y'all don't listen.
