TV/MoviesRe: What Series Are You Watching Now? Part 2 by ragdollz: 3:30am On Jun 04, 2011
Lol, @ Vieira, naaw, don't do that, these people lose a lot of money AND face when a series doesn't meet expectations. Sometimes it's cheaper for them to "let go" than continue certain shows. They prefer to go back to the drawing board and bring in a new series.

In any case if everyone was a "TV snob" like me a lot of shows will get axed grin. Out of all the so-called popular series u guys watch, the vampires, the sci-fi, the action/thrillers, only a quater of them get my full attention grin. I guess I'm picky, lol cheesy

Lol, to think I was actually able to see some of the shooting of the film (on location in UK: University of Greenwich) it was freaking surreal grin. Whole markets constructed, with fruits looking so real you'd want to grab one (but all the food was fake grin) this one's not making as much as the others but is still respectable. Urrmm, am I the only one missing Kiera and the gorgeous Bloom grin. The producers shouldn't have chopped those two out like that sad

TV/MoviesRe: Genevieve Nnaji To Star As James Bond Girl! by ragdollz: 11:12pm On Jun 03, 2011
Yeh Bawsii they need to stick to the plot n stop trying to please everyone! The die-hard book fans never forgave them for a Blonde James Bond (Daniel Craig) and now we're yakking about a Nigerian-born Bond girl grin. Kudos to her agents for this great publicity stunt grin cos it's obviously a bare-faced LIE grin

TV/MoviesRe: What Series Are You Watching Now? Part 2 by ragdollz: 8:44am On Jun 03, 2011
@Viera, I always thought ratings were based on how many viewers a show pulls? So if a lot of people are watching (ie Smallville (crapgrin)) then the show stays. When a series starts losing mass appeal, they axe it. That's what happened to The Event and others. They have ways of measuring stuff like that.

As for the Event, there was so much hype before the show started, but to me it failed to deliver. Maybe it got better I'll never know cos I stopped watching.
TV/MoviesRe: What Series Are You Watching Now? Part 2 by ragdollz: 1:00am On Jun 03, 2011
Re: The Event being cancelled, why am I not surprised? I knew it was crap by ep03. Underwood was badly cast; that was not a role for him. He has to learn to start picking wisely. And the story line: junk.

Just seen a bit of Spartacus, season two. Loads of long-winded dialogue and rutty blood/sex scenes, but virtually no discernable plot. Season one was waaaay better.

Watching Sanctuary. Hope it makes good.
TV/MoviesRe: What Series Are You Watching Now? Part 2 by ragdollz: 12:19pm On Jun 02, 2011
Ok, catching up on Game of Thrones. Just realised I've read the book years ago. From episode 1 I kind of remembered everything grin. It was a good book, and it's a great series grin. No spoilers for u guys who haven't read the book wink. Enjoy the series, cos the book is HUGE lol
TV/MoviesRe: What Series Are You Watching Now? Part 2 by ragdollz: 11:09am On Jun 01, 2011
Hmmn, 12 out of 10 people are watching this Game of Thrones thing. Sounds like I better go catch up!

First and foremost let me thank Seun for making this site to cater to all Nigerians unfortunately less could be said about how this place is managed - smh

However this site has been around since 2005 and still there isn't much by way of improvements of this site features. I think this place could be spruced up a bit and modernized, if it wasn't for the dates and current events of a particular topic I would have thought this site was stuck in the 70's in fact.

Even Nollywood is upgrading, please can Nairaland receive some attention and assistance in this issue

Many thanks cool
If it aint broke, don't try to fix it grin. So they say. I guess some web developer gurus will look at the site as too basic in features, but some of us lay people grin like to keep it simple. Check out Facebook; no fancy gimmicks, and folks are hooked. Same here. If there are any drastic changes soon it might scar us for a long time grin grin grin grin grin
TV/MoviesRe: Genevieve Nnaji To Star As James Bond Girl! by ragdollz: 10:33am On Jun 01, 2011
If Genevieve makes Bond Girl. . .if she even makes it on as a frigging EXTRA - I will renounce my citizenship and claim another nation. I mean really!? I love Gen but talk about quantum leap grin grin grin.

The Bond franchise has been so jealously guarded by all levels of white supremacy. It took a while for them to allow a black girl to be a Bond girl, and they've been spreading rumors of a black James Bond for a while. But so many veteran Hollywood actors would kill for a part in James Bond and will never get it. Now you're saying a Nollywood actor has a shot?

HAHHAAHHHAAA> I love ya Genny but don't get your hopes up babe. Start small, do some South African series like Stephanie Okereke did, then go on to act in some small-bit Hollywood movies before even DREAMING of a mega-million dollar motion picture part

Battle Los Angeles _ _ _ _ _ one of the guys is cast as a Nigerian (named Adukwu, a doc grin) but he sounds, errmm, Zambian tongue. Lol, funny when he was playing golf and they were surprised. He said, "We have courses in Nigeria, you know." Hmmn, jokes cheesy

TV/MoviesRe: Genevieve Nnaji To Star As James Bond Girl! by ragdollz: 2:06pm On May 25, 2011
Lol at d IDEA of a Nigerian Bond girl. Hey, Halle Berry made a good(?) attempt as a Bond girl. I love Gene but I don't think she can cope with the acting and action involved. Unless she takes massive acting classes beforehand. Then MAYBE. Only maybe she'll get the part.

There is a time for everything under the sun *so says the Good Book>> A time to praise and worship and a time to enjoy other forms of music. I'm sure God will not begrudge you a few listens of your favourite hip-hop jam so far it's not a sinful message.
