Agbalowomeri: That's not true Would you say doctors and lecturers don't? That's why the sectors have become depleted and people have japad in droves.
Meanwhile, the pay structure in the civil service indirectly also influences the pay in the private sector. Today if you bill organizations in naira the dollar equivalent of what we used to charge, it will look as if you are greedy Lol. You are right. I meant $500 not $50. I am talking about core civil service. As you know there so many salary scales. Mdical and tertiary institutions have different scales. For me, what caused Japa was more about UNDER EMPLOYMENT, rather than pay. The economy just does not produce enough jobs for the number of people graduating every year. This led to the lack of meritocracy, and politicians favoring themselves in both jobs and pay. |

Agbalowomeri: How many civil servants take home $500 a month? Practically none If you take an average civil servant in Nigeria, would you say that he produces goods or services worth $50 a month? I think productivity is the issue. You can't be paid more than what you produce. |

BabsO2: Looks like more are coming out to sell in order to take up their rights. Sold some last week at N27.6 Thought by now it will be N28, only to see 26 right now. Abeg make the major buyer resume buying operations. This makes sense. However, not sure it's worth the hassle. Assuming you sell at 27 and buy at 25 for just about 5% margin, and you wait forever to be allocated. |

Pennystockwarri: Expect a tug of war on that stock till the rights issue is over. Thought they just want to maintain a manageable N2 over the RI price. However, there ways a cross of 34m units @N27 yesterday. Maybe that is saying something of the tug of war. |

emmaodet: The problem i have with this stock is that it is too expensive at this price. Their eps is 8 kobo per share. That is a PE of 48. They need to come down to 50k per share to attract investors. They don't pay dividends either. They cater for middle class and low income nigerians with their hotels ranging from 40k/night in surulere to 25k per night in ikorodu. They can't compete with Transcorp or ikeja hotels who rake in billions from hotel reservations of 100k minimum per night. Their properties range from 200/300m per flat in ikeja, surulere to 35m per flat in mile 2. They also have flats to sell in Togo and Benin rep. In their 2023 Financial report, net profit is meagre 256m for a 3.12b shares outstanding. I think i will pass for now. They should be in Nasd in my opinion. Well researched. Thanks. The shareholding structure also looks lopsided, with the owner having over 73% |

bovali: I don’t have anything against other banks, but from a value perspective, I think Access was the most undervalued at the time so I went in big. How many of the banks holdcos have pension and insurance funds. Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t arm pensions the second largest? Also from an income perspective, none of the other banks make as much as access, it’s just efficiency that’s their problem which I can understand in the early days as most of the bank acquisitions they did, they were forced to retain the staff by the regulators. Give them time, max 2 years and the story would be different. Same with Aiico (only one doing share buy back when others are trying to raise funds), same with Transcorp (how can it be valued at 440bn when power and hotel are both worth collectively 3.8 trillion. Not to even talk of Transcorp net revenue almost at par with its valuation on an annualised basis). I just even remembered, access bank net revenue as at q3 is more than its market cap lol. So, just buy fundamentals and leave the rest to Mr. Time For me Access is the Oando of Banks. What you see is not what you get. |

Agbalowomeri: Dem go use the same flourmill collect loan, come pay una comot. This life no balance That is why I always feel sad when I see people apparently celebrating when a company, especially one as significant as FMN, pays a small premium and delist. They are only interested in the one time payment they get, but not bothered about the reduction in our market's capitalization. |

leparj: U re not. At current prices. Buying Access over FBNH is the right thing to do. Like I said, my holding horizon is short term. So I am looking at maximum gain to 52 wks high. For FBH it is 43.80. For Access it is 30.6. Note these are not closing prices but intra-day. |

D only reason I am buyin FBN is Otedola... No. I am not buying because of Otedola. I am buying because of the money I may make as a result of the positive sentiment that Otedola may cause. Plus I believe that FBN now as the lower entry point of the FUGAZ. |

nosa2: While UBA is certainly cheap compared to its historical valuations, it is not amongst the cheapest banks.
If you want to enter banking stocks you might want to look at Zenith and GTCO In the medium term I am going with FBN which I belive may have higher potential sentiment backed gains. |

Payunsin: Tip closed today at ₦2.53. I bought it at ₦ 1.81 about 2 months ago. I have never heard of the stock if not for Mr Loco that's tells you is not for investors. Will sell tomorrow by God's grace, those looking for fundamental continue Na profit me dey look for. Thanks Mr Loco I appreciate your inputs Penny stocks like TIP do not attract much attention of analysts because their daily transaction volume is just too small, and the number of people dealing is them is small too. TIP trades on average just about N3m per day. However, they say that there is someone for everyone. Some operate at that scale. Obviously you do. And you are lucky to meet analysts like Loco who also operate at that scale. So it is not an issue of fundamentals. |

ololufemi: With this move, I see the current administration considering the transformation of the NNPCL into a Publicly Listed Company and eventually listing it on the floors of the NGX, JSE and LSE. They didn't say anything about the background of the CFO. Is he an insider, or coming from a large international oil company with the required experience? At this point NNPCL should not be promoting people who rose through the ranks, but poaching executives from the likes of Saudi Aramco. |
