I have an FG job and my pay is way higher than a colleague-friend of mine in Texas. You may give it extensive thoughts

you are right Sir. California is the best state to live at. Friendly people, No much racism, great weather and more opourtunity and a large Nigerian community. I prefer California to any other state in US. I also think Texas is good because the cost of living his lower than California. I don't really like those Southern state or Eastern states because of the weather.

I remember when I first move to the US and was living with my uncle in Carson LA. He was really upset at me when I left the AC on overnight because of the bills. You know we don't pay NEPA bill in Nigeria and the average Nigerian can leave his light, AC and TV on even when nobody is around.
I didn't understand how bills work then till I move out and started living by myself in San Francisco.

You under exposed primitive beasts. When i was in the military, i had a friend who was an intelligence analysis for the Navy. They guy easily made at least $114,000 a year. But if you see the car my friend was driving around at the time, in fact, it's comparable to this one. one day i was driving him to base and finally asked him: why in the he'll don't you get a nice car. If you see the picture of the house he was planning on buying, and how much he said he had in is bank account... In fact, i instantly realized that i was the broke fool driving around in a nice car. You are right. Most Nigerians and Africans like living above their means. Some people end up buying expensive cars that they can not pay for. America is all about planning so you don't get in debt. Most Nigerians living in America are in deep debt and living pay check to pay check just because they refuse to plan

Anyway I got families living in Carson, Compton and Long Beach so LA is like my second home and I visit there regularly. LA is a pretty nice place to stay at. Just make sure you learn how to speak Spanish. Lol.

Not surprise. Torrance and Gardena don't have some of the best neighborhoods in LA. Its just a little better than Co ;Dmpton. Anyway, you are not going to see that kind of beatup car in West LA
