Rochas plan has always be to become President of Nigeria. He contested the pdp presidential primary before and also contested the APC primary election this yr. I think Rochas is just contesting for Imo state governorship election so as to be politically relevant in 2019. I believe APC Will likely zone the presidency or vice to the east when Buhari steps down and Rochas will be the likely Easterner to get their ticket.
I just hope Imo state vote for him next month. He hasn't done really bad as a governor.

OBJ . Anyway, Most People started hating GEJ government after the 2012 subsidy protest. GEJ didn't handle the subsidy issue well and that was when he started losing his support and goodwell. Another problem was GEJ should have started tackling the issue of Boko haram early on in 2010. He handle the boko haram issue with kids glove. The average Hausa man believe GEJ is the main sponsor of Boko haram

Also, GEJ made the mistake of losing OBJ and other states governors like Ameachi, Kano State governor and Sokoto State governor. GEJ didn't really have much support in PDP that was why he change the pdp constitution to ran unopposed. He might not have even won the pdp ticket if he pdp had conducted primary election.

APGA is going to end up like AD when they supported OBJ PDP in 2003 against Tinubu advice. If Rochas can win Imo he might be the only hope for the East in the new national party
Nobody takes a political party serious if they cant produce a presidential candidate. If the current Anambra governor decide to decamp to pdp just like Peter Obi did last year then APGA will be finish.

I wont be surprise if Rochas become the first Igbo president after Buhari step down because he is very popular in the North and is also love across the south.

I am happy that Nigeria democracy is growing to a level that a sitting president can be defeated in an election.

PDP has so many mushroom parties in Nigeria.

From all Indications it is likely that Buhari is going to be declare winner for the election. I want to know who will replace Buhari if he is disqualified by the courts because of his certificate case after he is sworn in as president. Will it be is Vice president or the first runner up in the election or would the court ask INEC to conduct a new election?

Only time will tell. But I think they will perform more than PDP. PDP has nothing new to offer Nigerians after 16 yrs of rule

Maybe in 2019 election but GEJ is not winning this election.

Jonathan failed the South. What did he really do for the people of SW, SE and SS in 6 yrs in power. We voted for him massively in 2011 and He ended up doing nothing yet he want us to spend 3 hrs on the hot sun for vote for him. The only reason he won in the east is not because he is a good president but because the Igbos don't like Buhari while he won the SS states because he is from Niger delta.

it will be hard for pdp to make a come back in 2019 unless APC perform woefully. All the heavyweight like former governors like Orji Kalu, Enugu former governors, Donald Duke, OBJ, Atiku and many others have all been kicked out of pdp because of GEJ greed and ego. PDP is almost a dead party and might perform badly in 2019 because they wil no longer have the federal power and resources to help them in elections
