make the reservation and get the code. Then go to GTB website and make payment via the airlines option. I understand make a reservation via the Ethiopian airlines app is cheaper. MissEmmy: Please I'm trying to book my flight through Ethiopian Airways. The payment options doesn't include debit card, and I'm not familiar with the options provided. Can someone put me through on how to go about this? Thanks |

Why are you like this na? Instead of you to encourage somebody. Bawss1:

The only people with any hope of a mild winter are the Torontonians - and even that is a slim hope. The rest of you guy folks to the north and south of the province should brace for a traditional Canadian winter, i.e. harsh cold and wind. The gods have decided it so prepare and make the most of it.
Winter can be a lot of fun if you don't fight it and accept it. |

How far with your cards. I harassed CIC with calls and via their web form stressing that the wait is passed the normal timeline and I got my card shortly after. Please call them at least once a week until you hear your card has been sent for processing. JKJ6: Thanks. I was able to call them from Nigeria with Fongo (Canadian number) - you also need strong internet service to receive and make calls on Fongo. My wait time was about 30 minutes. The agent said she couldn't see our resubmitted photos in the file, that it may be because they only received in on Oct 1st. That i should call back in about one or two weeks time, that it may have been updated at that time. |

So people carried this 'Coup' mentality across the ocean. To what end please? Thank you Maternal for this insight. Guess we have to keep our cards to our chest and be eagle eyed always. maternal: Some companies may look to hire, keep, or promote their token black employee, but there are 2 black employees including yourself. That other "black brother" will do everything in their power to belittle you and your work, to make sure you get sacked or don't get that promotion. A black police officer will go to a black neighborhood and harass the citizens there, even more than his fellow white officers, in order to get a promotion and become a Sergeant. These are small examples. |

Kai @TheCongo2 your wisdom no be here. TheCongo2: With respect to the bolded, issoftandmoist is a lady and you are a man. Of course any lady would rise her defense mechanism when been approached by a smiling man. However, if a black man approach a black lady in a place where no other black lives, things may be different. Nevertheless, some black who live among white people see the presence of other black people as a competition. How ridiculous! That could be the type of black softandmoist is complaining about. |

Try sending a message via web form PefHouse: Good day all,
Has anyone attempted to change mailing address for you PR card, the address I first quoted upon landing has changed and I would like to update it. When I use the online IRCC service, it says my records are not found. I have equally visited service Canada and they just give you a number to call, which does not find my record either. I would not want my card mailed to the old address.
Thanks |

Einsteino for president! Thank you!! einsteino: Winter clothing you can find on amazon
1: The Northface Canyonlands sweatshirt, makes a great midlayer, material is fleece and polyester. 2: Faux fur head hat with detachable face cover. I bought one of this for about $8 at a store owned by a chinese, it cost many folds of that on amazon. 3: incase you feel cold in your neck, you may want to get a scarf. There are different types and options.
You should also buy a couple of thick sweaters, preferably woolen, and hand gloves. |

The one with your Copr may or may not suffice. When you arrive CA ask for a reputable store where you can snap the PR size photos and keep with your host/fam over there (if you have one). In the event that you receive a request to resubmit photo, the person would just mail on your behalf via Canada post. I got a resubmission request months after I returned to naija and I was not happy I didn't do this at the first instance. Have you checked Kantagwa market for winter jackets? It should be close to your end though most people prefer Yaba jelmusboy: I will be landing this month by God's grace. Do I need to get another passport photograph for PR card and what's the specification? Or will the one I submitted for visa and COPR suffice?
Does anyone know if I can get good winter jacket at Super, Abule Egba in Lagos? |

Please I need the contact too. Thanks softandmoist: Yes, you will. The prices are fair but the quality may not be as good as the Yaba ones. If you want, I can give you a contact. The jackets and parka we got from Yaba are serving us well. |

Mandillas is in Lagos Island but I am not sure I have seen an array to winter clothings there compared to Yaba. Yaba is on the Lagos mainland. Proximity of both markets depend on where you are coming from and where you will stay in Lagos Note that markets in Lagos open from 10am on Thursdays. DrMrsCK: Please where in Yaba? I don't live in Lagos but will like to do my shopping there. My husband said something about Mandillas(don't know if that is the spelling) in Lagos Island. |

My broda thank you for summarising the pros and cons. No be beans at all and to dey go school for french I gata think am wella. God bless you. PS the way you switch between pidgin and english cracks me up. einsteino: for a family, Montreal has alot going for it. a 2 bedroom apartment here can be as low as 750 cad, 850cad to 1000cad in downtown montreal! in Toronto that can easily cost you 2200cad! cars are also much cheaper here and the city is lovely to raise a family. Anyways let me tell you a story that would help put things in perspective. |
