Scientist said that we have 4 billion cells in our brain, this they say is enough to store the information in all the books ever published, how come we only use less than 4% of this. Anyway the man with the best memory uses about 4% of his storage ability. This is how I have improved my memory, my repetition. It helped me make a 2.1 in the university. I read each note, continuously over 20 times in two week, the more i read it the more i remembered it, i could recite my project from my head. If you were there when i defended my project you won't need to read the binded copy .Repetition is my method what is yours. ![]() |
I do read, can pronoun words, but tell me to spell it is another case. My search on the net said that spelling is by memory I don't remember things i see in a flash, I was reading a book and it asked the colour of my door from the outside, you won't believe that i didn't know the colour. That was because I have never spent time standing outside, you know the cold here. Thanks for your advice, Maybe spelling is a gift. |
Well love is love. that is what i will always say. My girl friend tells me she loves me but she doesn't mean it. There no passion in her voice when she says it. Whenever she says it, I tell her she doesn't mean it. I have had people love me, they didn't to say it for me to know. MY girlfriend now is something else, I confused her being nice for being in love with me. Now am hooked. The Guy wey dey look for chic wey go tell am I Love you can you come to my rescue. You go hear I Love run. |
Man this worries me like hell, I have lost my confidence in spelling, it not like there was ever a time i had to rely on myself to spell every word i want to use but is so bad now. Has anyone been through this, I don't expect anyone to be able to spell everything in the world, but i can't spell things listening to their pronouncation. Do you have an idea of how i can improve myself e.g programs or books. I know that being a good speller will make me more competent in my work. Thank God for spelling checker but sometime one has to write with pe ![]() |
Looks like a project topic or a market research topic. Bro's my advice is that you perpare a questionnaire and send to all the MD's in 5 start companies they will give you a more valid answer ![]() |
I have invested in the clothing business, i have got passion for it. I don't know what exactly you want to know. Are you a tailor, or you want to just have your own label. Where is your location, what type of cloths are you interested in making, African, native, or English wear. Who do you want to compete with, the likes of mark and Spencer or the locals. I need to know to be able to give good and valid information. My first business in this field was in 1999. Stopped about 2 years ago but i still have the passion for designing wears. |
Seun, I am sorry i have not replied you. That has been bad of me. That was good advice you gave me. I tried the site but was not able to do the test, my system was not responding to the site and they wanted to much information which i was not comfortable with. home address, phone no. I don't give that to someone i can't see. i made a few calls today and i got other sites which i have used to evaluate myself not too impressive with there results though. I was also at a government agency today where i got some good advice. Thanks for you consign. I really appreciate. If you have got a site for this test just inform me. |
Hotstepper, you just got it. To get this job they did not have to see any of my qualifications, just a C.V. It is a cool job, am a mathematican, I work with people who have been there for more than 5 years. And they are doing well, if that is what they want. They like what they do, I don't that is the difference, it is about the Joy, but i still give my best, I always do, never planned to study maths but i did and i gave my best to it. But you didn't mention your own experience. |

Nigerian don't read that is true, the habit of reading is a luxury why you may ask. At what age are kids actually suppose to start reading. The poverty in the country is so bad that families can't eat not to talk of encouraging there kids to read, by buying them a book. Well I remember when My mum look me to a bookshop in my primary 5 that should be in 1988 she wanted me to improve my reading, after two or three buys, she stopped well i don't know why she stopped so don't ask me. Now i read but not novels, motivational books is what i have interest in, i want to know i am gaining information that will change my life the better. But i want to start reading novels soon sha. |
Good advice, I don't think you are looking for a life business to start with 4K, if it's to keep body and soul together i have got a few tips for you. well 4k is not that small to start a business, I have made N15.000 in Nigeria in a day, through a phone call. Tell me what does google sell, what do CNN, SKYNEW and the rest sell. My point if you have information, convert it to cash. How did i make N15 K in one day without cash. i was a middle man, A man had the goods didn't have a buyer, that is where i came in. I made a call, sealed a deal, took in the goods and got paid. I have been a middle man alot of times, when i was in school I had friends that could move goods, i also had friend who will bring goods, i play my middleman role very well, I move the goods in a few days time everyone gets paid. I love to create cloths, i have made shirts and polo, T-shirt and even got then crested(designer) am not a tailor, but i am creative, i hire talents, I make them create what's on my mind. As a new session is starting i go shopping for materials, rare ones, take them to my tailor, who makes nice shirt which i market in school, could cost about N700 to get a nice material, and N500 to get it made , but these shirts i sell for a minimum of N2500 depending on the outcome might even go for as high as N3,500. Student like to owe, don't fall into that trap, i did. Well also try this one, go to the electronic scrap market(Alaba, Westminister, Toyota), buy something, fix it make good money,. it could be a radio, disc man, walkman,DVD, iron, kettle whatever. One more thing, women buy more than men, if you want to sell quickly, make chics your customer, be friendly to them and you will go along way. If you want to make money, you have to think in terms of numbers. Volume sales, or Unique sales |
It my turn to say What am reading, well small story, I didn't read much novels when i was growing up, I was the type that allowed my younger sister read the book and tell me the story. My turning point was when i picked a book from my fathers shelve Tough times don't last tough people do, that book changed my life. Am in love with motivational books, am reading HOW TO GET RICH By Donald Trump. The title simply tell you what I want to be, RICH, THE FIGURES that is all that matters in the end to me. ![]() |
I'm a mathematics graduate, not bragging but I made a 2.1 in the oldest university at home. I came to the U.K and I am working in a call center. It took me a jobless 3 months to get this job, which is why am not leaving it. If not for the bills I have to pay every month I won't be going to work in the mornings. Some mornings I have to call my friend in Philippine's to talk me out of bed, for me to be able to go to work. At work i feel like a square peg in a round hole. I'm still in the process; I am sure we have some people who have had similar experiences. Can you share with me how you were able to leave that work you didn't enjoy and found joy in a job you are looking forward to every morning? I feel I should be calculating something. ![]() Anyway the money motivates me sha, but I wish I was doing something I find joy in. |
retro, their is no playing safe here, don't allow your past experience to determine your future, but let it become part of whatever you have set out to achieve. to live is to risk dying, and to marry is to risk getting divorced. But it is a risk and it has to be taken. 6 in every 10 marriages are unstable, but yours can be part of the other 4 that are stable. Believe in yourself, and know that you have what it takes to make your man come home to you. Not only that you have what it to make him stick with you forever. Marry a man that knows what he wants, and if he Marry's you at the end, know that he will stick to you. being too careful is not the answer to your problem. ![]() Am sure a man wants his marriage to succeed as much as a wife wants it, you have to only know one thing, marry someone that you love and understand, then someone that understands and loves you. Relationships is a good place to start, so keep the love going, hopefully one day i get some good news. You are not the only one afraid of making the wrong choice, i am too. But I know that I will find a good wife, because the bible said so. H He who has finds a good wife has found a good thing. Am sure many men will stick to you if you build yourself to be the good wife material the bible was talking about. And for a marriage to work, it depends on both parties, but it depends more on the woman. If you put God first my sister no shaking trust me in this no be mouth. am talking too much abey. |
If I become the president of Nigeria, I will invest so much money into building of world Class standard prisons. I think we will be needing some many of that, but in the mean time before the prisons are completed, i will convert all the 5 start hotels into prisons, where i will send every corrupted Nigerian. Then every state to control their resources, will be the next thing on my agenda. To be continued, am sure i will be dead by the time I finish the second agenda. |
Mighty Of Mights we bless your name, you are the fountain of living waters. may you release Nigeria from the hands of oppressor. father, the Hausa man has ruled for Long, Now you have given it to the Yoruba brother, Daddy, I think it is time to try the Igbo man. May you give us an Igbo man worthy to represent the interest of the Nigerian mass, And make our Hausa and Yoruba to understand that power should shift and that they are not the only ones that know how to lead Amen. |
NYSC is nothing but a story to be told. The story goes like this, once upon a time i served in Bayelsa , Serving in Nigeria, you gain nothing (in terms of value to yourself), I was sent to teach in a village, by the time I came out of that village, lost all my contacts, lost my relationship, became so dull after interacting with non-intellectual for so long a time, still trying to recover. For me it was a waste of 1 year. NYSC is a way that Nigeria employs cheap labour, this is because they don't want to spend money and train qualified teachers. so they use the rotation method, batch A, batch B corp go, corp come. If you want to have a story to tell to your kid and friend, go and serve. Nuo, ruruma do |
retro i don't know your reason or reasons for saying you are not getting married, but I will respect it if it not connected to your parents relationship. If it is then i will have to add a comment, not just for you but for any other person who doesn't want to get married because of there parents relationship. See the good side of life, am from a broken marriage too.I don't care about what my parent chose, it was their life. This is mine, my choice, my dream. my future. and so is yours girl. There time has pasted and it is your time to shine, get on with your life, remember that all men are not the same and so are all women not the same. just look for some that you love and understand and via verse. Enjoy your life and leave your parents marriage alone, having a good marriage could make you forget the experiences you had. Let your experience be the drive force for you to have a stable marriage, think of why theirs didn't work out and use that as you own learning book. Think about it. That was your parents life, this is yours dear. |
you don't have to go far to find a definition, or conditions to be 2nd class or 3rd class citizen. My people back at home are 2nd,3rd, 4th,, 100th , citizen in their own country. once you are outside your village, i think you are not a 1st class citizen anywhere in Nigeria except Obj, is your dad or you are PDP connected. If not why are the Igbo, chased from the North, the Igbo ran from the west in 1993. The Hausa's chased from the east . It is simple they know they don't belong. Infact being 1st class citizen is temporal. ![]() |
abuguy64, am happy for you. You are a living example of what positive people from a broken home can achieve. Keep it up brother, what a marriage needs to work is 30% love, and 70% understanding. Love is the easy part my brother, I am looking for someone that I can understand and that understands me. I can tell you I know 1000 ways marriage a can break. So I know so many ways to make my marriage work. i will be a big fool if history repeats itself in my marriage. May be i should start writting a book about it. ![]() |
Its a pity, so that is the cartoon that is causing death in my country. Someone should tell them that a Mosque was bombed in Iraq by fellow Muslims. I think they should take there war there. |
The action has already taken place. And their is nothing that I can do about it. When two people fight and you want to settle them, you have to know how it started and then you judge and then make peace. For your school issue their is no need to talk about that. Cult is Cult, they don't look at faces, it wasn't a riot, that is organized crime. Things some students have chosen to be involved with.Western students kill each other in their schools, just like eastern students, and some time they have cross border hit even people from the same village kill each other in school. In a war people are the price of peace, let hope that more price won't be paid. That the heroes of this past riot (the dead one) would be the last. About catching the culprit, i doubt that. I wonder who will be pointing who out. Who killed Bola Ige, not to talk of unpopular people. |
Well it is simple, good food will bring your man home. So wifey go to ebay and get a cooking book, i want my wife's food to taste different from the one i, my mother, my sisters cook oh. she needs her own style. |
I know that, but one is a better reason for a riot. |
![]() she has to say it oh. and mean it self |
this debate is interesting, which of these scenarios deserves a riot and maybe killing of people. a, a cartoon is published in denmark and Muslims in maiduguri attack and killed Christians leaving many injured b, dead bodies of Ibo's brought back from the riot in maiduguri, Ibo's riot killing Muslims. ask me, i will say option 'b' is a justified reason to react. |
Well, my parents didn't come from a broken home, but I did. If you won't marry me because of that I have no problem with you,Infact I will be very glad if I find out you don't want to marry me. Some people from broken homes turn out to be something else, they allowed their parents problems affect them. Those of us that miss the value of a family and still got the attention of both parents had to understand that our parents couldn't just leave under the same roof. i think you should place more emphasis on the values your partner places on marriage, look at it long term and know that it is till death do you apart. Marriage is being able to compromise, being understanding to a fault. I can only marry someone I can laugh at her mistakes, someone I find it hard to be angry with, and someone that has got a forgiving heart. If you don't have this, no no no way for you. I have a forgiving heart, that doesn't mean I will forgive sleeping around. I don't intend to do that, so I don't expect that too. If you are not sure, my advice is don't say yes i do. I will shine my eyes very well before I say yes I do, for better for worst. My goal in life is that children will grow seeing me and there mother live together till death do. . ![]() |
Seun if you see Aba you go run for cover, i bet you on this one. |
The old testament is still part of the bible. The Israelite's had to kill the Egyptians to gain their freedom. |
Imagine a Bus full of dead innocent Ibo brothers brought home for people to come and search for there loved ones. Men it is a normal reaction. My onitsha brothers did what they had to do. Payback in a similar coin. At least soon some trucks will be driving up north with some dead bodies, so they see how it feels. ![]() |
I use to think Onitsha was the dirties city in Nigeria, infact Onitsha dirty well!, but when i reach ABA, I bow. Aba you too much |
The elders said the way to a man heart is his tommy oh! I can cook, anyway but I don't think my food taste that great. I can marry someone that is willing to learn to cook, at least cooking is an act that can be learned. If we marry and she doesn't want to cook. For me it is no problem, am sure am still handsome enough for someone to find a way the to my heart. I will find somewhere to take my dinner every evening, fill my tommy well well and come home to gist with her. ![]() |
