Doctor simply told us it is Metastatic cancer. It is stage four but we don't know how severe it is now except that she can barely use her left leg, and there are multiple sores and injuries on the affected breast. I also do not know the next Doctor's move.

She has to get surgery done urgently and also start chemo. Is her doctor not keen on this treatment route? Is she on painkillers?

I will suggest you start a gofundme with all the videos and pictures you posted. You should also start similar campaign on twitter and tag the popular influencers.

I'll arrange to have funds transferred to the account you posted.

What plans have you got for her? Surgery? Do you know the stage of the cancer? This will help with your fundraising and encourage people to donate substantial sums

This country sef.. I heard spectranet and MTN are good. However, I won't reject any better suggestions. I was thinking of using ntel for the unlimited data but that can only be if it is fast since I will be dealing with 4k videos. I have the equipment for editing 4k vids and playing the games which I think is the important part. As for uploading videos. I can wait for it to load as far as there is enough light. If it takes one week to complete no probs.

Have you checked to see if these service providers are available at Bonny?

You are concerned about uninterrupted electricity when your main concern should be access to super fast broadband (or fibre optic internet). undecided

This is Shocking.

According to reports, the event management and décor guru died after suffering cardiac arrest this morning in her hotel room in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where she went to work.

Why would a very comfortable Ibidun travel to Port harcourt during an insterstate ban for work? What event is so important considering events cannot have more than 50 people presently? Has an autopsy been done to confirm that it is cardiac arrest.? I personally think her death should be investigated.

She was involved in the construction of isolation centres at rivers state.

Do you mean services offered by them are not good enough? Apart from London, I don't know other cities in UK that charge £1.50 on a bus trip. I still giv kudos to TFL for their services and price. They also give free travel to 60+ on rail services

£1.20 for teens in Edinburgh
90p for over 5s
Two under 5s travel free per one paying adult

Hi everyone,

I am currently on my Doctorate Extension Scheme visa after completion of my PhD. The following is a summary of my situation.

Summary:
Point 1: I'm currently enroute a comfortable 6 years in UK continuous residence and hope to make the 10 year ILR.
Point 2: I have spent 5 of this 6 continuous years studying without breaks. the 6th current year is on a Doctoral extension scheme (1 year visa) expiring next year.
Point 3: I now need to earn 4 years more to qualify for the 10 year ILR.

However,
Point 4: The UK has an 8 year maximum study cap. As I have also held a previous (since expired) tier 4 visa on a masters course for 17 months (i.e the standard 1 year 5 months visa), it doesn't count towards continuous residence now. This is because I went back to Nigeria after I completed it and spent more than 180 days there before returning to the UK to study again. Even so, this study period is still counted by the UK Home Office as 1 year 5 months used towards the 8 year study cap.

Therefore,
Point 5: My total study period in the UK so far adds up to 6 years 5 months, which leaves me with 19 months (1year 7 months) left to use on the 8 year study cap. (But remember point 3 above)

At Present:
I learnt about the return of the Post study work scheme, though it isn't yet in effect, I heard it would only be valid for those graduating from 2021 onwards.

My Intention:
I plan to leave the UK after my DES expires next year for 6 months and return in less than 180 days to start the MBA. (This gives me 6 months of continuous residency even though I wouldn't be present in the UK for that time as long as I return within 180 days).

After the MBA programme:
6months (outside UK) + 18 months (MBA) = 2 years
Post study work visa = 2 years
This adds up to the 4 years that I need to qualify for ILR.

Questions:
Will the new PostStudyWork visas start automatically after 2021 Masters completion, or these would have to be applied for?
Is it possible for me to apply for an 18 month MBA course, even though I now have a PhD?
Does anyone know any UK universities that offer 18 month MBA programmes that begin in March/April 2021?

Would there be any issues with my current situation and intentions above?
Other suggestions are welcome.

This prolong study route is rather risky.

Why not start applying for jobs? You might be lucky and obtain sponsorship under the 2 work visa.

Consider applying to universities for a teaching role.

Bro, can you help? A friend is trying to bring his wife over to uk and they've been told she needs to take the test. I don't understand why this is a requirement for Nigerians considering the fact that English is our official language, we were colonised by the Brits and we are also a commonwealth nation? undecided

Well said. What I really do not understand is why communities in the North East that have borne the brunt of Tory austerity have chosen to ignore austerity and vote Tory simply because of Brexit. It's a bit like cutting your nose to spite your face. I have lived and worked in different areas of the North East for years, the fact that people have chosen to vote for one issue at the expense of the future of their kids, free tuition, NHS, welfare etc is shocking. What I also find disgusting are immigrants who came into the UK and have lived a good life in the UK on the back of the liberal immigration policies of successive Labour governments choosing to vote the Conservative party that has a history of stigmatising immigrants.

Well, let's see how Boris Johnson will perform for the next 5 years. I would hope I'm proven wrong and Boris Johnson is different from the typical Tory.

Spot on !

This is where the Scots differ from the English.

Myself and million others voted the SNP for this reason - free tuition, increased childcare hours, free nhs prescription, etc. No sane Scot will vote the Tories in Scotland because we know that once they are in, all these benefits will change.

Hello people. Its been a while. cheesy

I want to change my son's name on his valid Nigerian passport (i want to swap his first and middle names). I have effected the change on his UK birth certificate. Can i apply for a passport re-issue from UK High Commission, London?

There is nothing on their website relating to name change for minors.

Any help/advice on this issue will be greatly appreciated.

Oh wow......thanks for the info

What about applying for ILR ? Will the different entry time put the others at a disadvantage?

YES IT WILL.

one of the requirement for ILR is not staying outside the UK for 180 days within a 12 months period.

I understand that the absence requirement was recently removed but it only applications to folks who got their visas before January 2017 or 2018 (I cant remember - Google it)

.

You are wrong.

Auditors have full access to a company's balance sheet, funds in the bank, value of assets, liabilities, debtors, unpaid invoices, etc so they do know when a company is no longer able to fulfil its financial obligations and can inform their client/employer of any looming bankruptcy.

A company that decide on it's own to file for bankruptcy..

Braket:

Sorry to ask sir, the question that keeps coming to mind that, is having mother in-laws around not an option too? As they can keep rotating between both parent's mum every 6 months. Is this not possible or there's a clause to it as well?

Having your mum or mum-in-law around is an option. its a case of applying for a visit visa and hope they are approved, however, they cannot stay any more than 6 months at a time and I think no more than 6months in total within a 12 months period.

I have heard of recent cases where elderly ones are being refused for a renewal (eg. 2 years), after their initial 6months visa just because they stayed for 5 months or close to 6 months. some couples have their mum visit briefly before the baby arrives, return and then apply for 2years. i know someone that kept his mum here illegally for over 5 years (she came in on 6months) and sent her back to nigeria when the kids were all in primary school.

another issue is the current health condition of mum or mum in law. the cold weather is not really friendly for some. some other miss their friends and family as well as the buzz and owambe parties in Nigeria. it is also important to consider if they have the physical strength and endurance to look after kids if not, you might end up having to worry about her health.

then some mum in laws (like mine) have businesses, etc that they are running in nigeria and being away for any longer than 2 months is practically impossible for them. some mums like mine feel the kids are your responsibility grin and they have no intention of being turned to childminder/babysitter and they want to enjoy their retirement travelling around the world and living their best life. grin I don't blame them though - babysitting under 5s all alone at old age is a lot of work. cheesy
