Double N:

Nice one there.Pity that the pwnage tool only works on Macs. I have an iphone 3GS running 3.1.3 and baseband 05.12.01. Is there anyway i can use you firmware to unlock the phone, since it has not been previously activated? I have been waiting for ages for the Dev Team to bring out an unlock for non-activated phones.

Yup! This will update the FW to 4.0 without affecting the baseband, and I have this set to activate the iPhone as well!
I just finished compiling 2 versions; File sizes are:

iPhone2,1_4.0_8A293_Restore.ipsw                        -     Official iOS4 Release from Apple              -     377.9MB
iPhone2,1_4.0_8A293_Custom_Restore.ipsw           -     My Custom created based on the above      -     391.5MB
iPhone2,1_4.0_8A293_Custom_Restore_with_Apps -     My Custom created based on official           -     435.9MB

I'd create a .torrent and start to seed this tomorrow, will publish at demonoid.

Phones / Iphone (ios4) Custom Fw by Ralvy(m): 10:09pm On Jun 25, 2010
I'm about to finish building my first custom firmware based on iOS4, it's packed with several applications and ofcourse, baseband update has been disabled, so you can start enjoying iOS4 on that iPhone 3GS wink If you're within Abuja, and in need of this. Just contact me wink It's really large so I might not publish it online due to the internet connection here sad

Lol! I've been spending days at the mechanic. Should be free tomorrow.

I think that's outdated. You'd find up-to-date .DEBs on their site:
virtualbox.org/wiki/Linux_Downloads

Update:
Just looked again, and it seems the repos were updated so you should be fine.

UltraVPN connected in TCP mode, but I paid for an MTN bundle. Will wait till it expires to confirm if it's an FBT.
The connection is really impressive, it's time to scour the internet for proxy apps, Go FBTers tongue

4llerbuntu:

which reminds me, @ ralvy, check the ubuntu thread, i asked for help with some stuff about creating a wireless network with my wireless card on ubuntu and using it with other devices like fones, maybe u have an idea about that wink

I gave it a try and was able to setup a share between both operating systems (Windows 7 Ultimate / MacBook Air and Windows 7 Ultimate / HP dv6-1355dx), they were ping responses and files were seamlessly shared between both smiley.

You just have to create a new wireless network, use a custom IP address, an almost identical one on the other workstation and get both PCs connected. Create a share in ubuntu, the nautilus file manager will do that and give it all the correct permissions, and you should be setup.
I will try to work something out for ICS now.

Anyone tried Gnome 3.0 (Shell) ?  I'm sure many KDE users will run back to the ever winning Gnome when final is released. I'm using it now, still in BETA and a bit slow/buggy, but usability has been improved by far.

Lol! What a complete tool, thankfully dullards like you are a minority. I'm usually the last to play grammar nazi, but leaving such a uneducated opinion with such a glaringly moronic statement shows how very little your contributions are worth. Try thinking before you talk or type, count to ten if it helps but do yourself a favor and avoid making yourself look like the village idiot. Also, pick up a book once in a while, just because your getting older doesn't mean your growing up.

If you look at most of my posts in this section, it'd be clear to you that I own/use a Blackberry 9700. [, ]. I use this with an N900 my Dad bought and decided not to use.

Oh! Sorry was reading too fast. You'd have to wait, an unlock will be released before the month ends.

I need "ubuntu" replaced with "Gnome".

And I think the permission system here needs an audit. Why can't users edit polls they created?
Computers / Ubuntu Linux Users: What's Your DE Flava? by Ralvy(m): 1:27am On Jun 21, 2010
Yea! I'm one of those addicted Linux folks. I just want to know what desktop environments my fellow Linux folks use? The two most competitive DEs are Gnome and KDE and I believe majority of us use one of those, although they are many other variations. I'm an addicted Gnome user, I just have KDE as a secondary workspace to use when I want to see something different. I'll add a poll as well. If possible, back up your choice with reasons why you prefer one over the other.

Screenshots are welcome smiley

As stated earlier, Gnome FTW, I always recommend it and encourage people to use it over all other variations. It's design is unique and is very interactive. It is less obtrusive and arguably easier to use than others. What do you use, and why?

FYI: I made a mistake when creating the Poll and strange, the permission system here doesn't let you edit your *own* poll shocked
"Ubuntu" is "gnome", Happy if a mod can fix that.
