Thanks for stating the obvious but let me take you deeper. Someone analysed the cost of feeding him for six years over half a million. Now after living with robbers/ritualists for six years one should be able to give their names (even if only first names) and descriptions. 2. If you study nigerias map there are no forests surrounded by water (or Lakes in the Benin area) except maybe d creeks of the Niger delta. 3. If you were a reporter trying to write a story for the weekend which will you report "MAD MAN COMES HOME AFTER 6 YEARS WANDERING" or "KIDNAPPEE RETURNS HOME AFTER 6 YEARS IN THE JUNGLE"?
The obvious stated here was that you clearly went off on a tangent borne of failed comprehension. If someone read your previous post without taking time to read the story, they simply go off, and their version of the story when they tell it would be "mad man returns after 6 years" -courtesy your misrepresentation. Given this, why should we take any of your further analysis seriously. But for the hell of it, as i said in response to someone else; what the story says is there were fetish angles to the whole set up, so if the racket required their being alive as a tool for their fetishes, then the sustenance provided to keep him alive is irrelevant. Again, as i said; if you have a a dairy cow, you must feed it properly to get good milk. Also, if what you're saying is that there are no islands around the general Edo area, by looking at whatever map you have referenced, then you've been misinformed. Your third point is just the kind of conspiracy theory that deserves little response. So, first you misunderstand a writeup and in a poor attempt to reinforce the false assertion, you have come up with a bogus theory. It is more honorable to accept that you missed that bit of detail n move on, instead of this. |
No, i have not. At my day job, i have to run credit on clients so i see dates of birth as part of the process all day. I'm constantly looking out to see an exact birthday match, but its never happened in years. the closest it came was exactly one month early. Same day of the month, 1 month earlier, same year. |
Pooh, most of us don't appreciate the facts of the story only taking his skewed and warped version. Go back to the story, what did the family say? He was a case of insanity 2. Did the family make a police report at the time of abduction? No. Why? Because they knew he went bonkers. 3. Look into the patients eyes what do u see? I see wanderlust and confusion. All signs of his many travels in his crazed state. 4. Its popular in his region for jealous enemies to afflict their friends and loved ones with such illness to prevent his further success. And it is usually through poisoned drink. You'll know the difference because the person doesn't go completely mad or snaps out of it from time to time. Av seen two similar cases all from that Benin region.
For someone tryna make his point on the appreciation of facts, you sir, have failed miserably. There is no mention of him being insane as you have expressly misconstrued by not reading the story properly. I bet this is where you get your "insanity" notion - "Infact, we chased him away because we thought he was insane and looking for where to go.” What the above means is they(his brother & co.) initially did not recognize the individual that was brought to them (coz of his dramatically altered looks). Hence, the above statement. in other words, their first response was -this must be some random mad man tryna find a new home; before realizing it was indeed their long lost brother whom they thought was dead. |
sweetcocoa: Sad as the story sounds and as tempted as i am to buy it and feel pity for the dudeObviously the story is not an in-depth one, and could have been written much better with a proper interview. You do not blow off a story simply coz of poor journalistic skills. That said, it is obvious you have never been a dangerous situation before. You imagine it is as simple as "alert the officers" right? . .wrong. People need to understand the level of post-traumatic stress an ordeal like this could level on an individual and his ability to coherently give account. |

dedonsamue: Can somebody fill marriage with the hope of getting married before the interview date? Cause he/she does not want to miss him/her?If the original application does not say married, you are putting your chances at great risk, especially when you(or whoever) is not even married at this time. Any "marriage" after winning is seen by default as fraud, and proving otherwise is tougher than most people realize, then they loose it all. Advise to anyone who filed as 'single': IF YOU VALUE YOUR CHANCES OF GETTING THE VISA- DO NOT ARRANGE ANY SHAM MARRIAGE. A lot of people attempt this. While some may get away with it, you need to ask yourself if it is worth it. These kind of 'sharpness' is what put Nigeria where its at with visa issues in the first place. Be wise. |

anyone without the cojonas to make it clear to his family that the choice of a wife is 100% his, does not deserve a wife, coz he is not man enough. If you would rather succumb to a miserable marriage to please your mama, then good for you. My opinion. |
there is nothing wrong with bold 3. he is just displaying the typical naija reasoning. If you asked for 2, he would have asked why you want an older model phone. |
