That's probably the only question you should be asking. If Eedris is such a revolutionary, what significant uprising has he championed?

Car Talk / Re: Abandoned Ferrari In Ibadan Is Not A real Ferrari But A Kit Car.picture Included by ramalot(m): 7:28am On Feb 04, 2017
Haha. I was going to create a thread like this some days ago, but never got around to doing it.

When I saw the original post on Nairaland, my tingling senses for big money started buzzing, so I did some math.
I figured it would be a worthwhile investment to fly out and buy that thing real quick before someone else does.

My first move was to visit a restoration specialist company specializing in both luxury and vintage vehicles.
They're reputable and have restored/sold multiple 1995 F50s, so I figured they'd know.

I gave them the photo and they said they'd take a close look at it and email me. This is an excerpt from the email:

In looking at the image, it appears to be a replica F50 so not a “real” car. A factory produced F50 is worth between $1.8-2.2M, but the attached image although it looks like an F50, it isn’t.

I wasn't too happy to hear that, as I like me a nice chunk of change in a swift deal. cool

Funny thing is he has not been to a state in Naija with an international airport that fly these routes.

He just said right above you that he only travels through Abuja. Abuja is not a state.

I doubt you really did research on MMM as you said op, your analysis is wrong. I hope you wont eat your words when they come out again in january.

Whether or not they return is irrelevant. It's not a matter of if, but a matter of when it would collapse.

MMM is not a business by design, so it is NOT self-sustaining.

EVERY "HYIP" scheme eventually fails, leaving the tears of greedy people behind.

No exceptions.

We were warned to invest with our spare money which I personally did. am not even disturbed. if it comes back on in January, which I doubt it would, then good for us, if it doesn't so be it. The greatest blame should be on the present government cos if our economy had been buoyant these folks wouldn't have come in the first place.
.

That's a lie.

The ONLY person to be blamed is YOU, for being greedy. MLM, MMM and such pyramid schemes have been in the US and most other functional countries for a long time. It has NOTHING to do with a failed government, but personal greed of those who go into it.

MMM is pretty much the same as the flood of HYIP websites we had about 10 to 13 years ago.

The people at the end ALWAYS get burned. No exceptions to this rule.

One can't deny the fact that MMM has help a lot of people, I'm not a participant of MMM but from what I've seen around it seems to be the answer to the prayers of people especially with the current economic situation in the country. I've observed that most of the people that want mmm gone are people that are well to do that like people to remain below them and never become something in life. When you realise that the person who is always asking you for money stops, you start getting jealous and angry. I hope MMM comes back though but they need to do serious damage control!

You can't do damage control to something that is inherently damaged.

You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a damn swine.

ode,i dont need to sit under the sun like u to make money.....

How many times have u seen peter sitting under sun to make money?....reason with ur brain, not with ur left leg, abeg

It's funny you would say that, because when I lived in Nigeria, I attended an outdoor P-square show around 2004.
It was day time, the sun was blazing, as they performed energetically with their dancers - while sweating profusely under the Nigerian sun.

If that's not the literal definition of Peter being under the sun to make money, I have no idea what is.

Be quiet. You probably sit in your father's house all day waiting for your mother to serve dinner.

Go out and hustle in the sun, then you'd understand what the elements can do to the skin.

Nothing applies universally. So the fact it affects some, but not others doesn't make it false.

Business / Re: CBN Endorses SSS Raid On Currency traders by ramalot(m): 1:52am On Nov 25, 2016
ekanDamie:

havnt u thought of it, that if this back doorers don't get forex, to trade on d streets for extra
profit, deld actually allow it be and go through d right channels as u claim?
cos some are using their position to steer it away from d right source for extra profit.

You're missing the bigger picture and the fundamental economic principles at play.

Scarcity drives value.

The only way the parallel market can peg their prices high is the official channel's inadequacy in serving the market.

I don't know if it's any different now, but as an example:

When the gas stations (fuel) in Nigeria are on their perpetual outages, the "black market" gas sellers hike their prices.
It doesn't mean the black market sellers are controlling/manipulating market prices, in the grand scheme of things.

It just means they're capitalizing on the scarcity brought about by Nigeria's inefficient petroleum industry.
The simple solution to get rid of such "black market" holds on an economy is to make the commodity available at the official/regulated source.

actually, it's a welcome development. this are the people through which d exchange rate keeps going up.
if they stop them n dier cabal's. dey would stop having an influence on exchange rate

Actually, that's false.

If the proper channels to access forex was functional, Nigerians would have NO reason to get it on the streets.

Wen do we get to hear 'Most Creative Girl in ABUJA' abi 'Most Innovative Boy' Award?

Even America after all the wealth and luxury dont have the time for all this nonsense we parade everyday because of its 'vanity' status

We are here in Nigeria, going through one of the world's harshest economic weathers and we are here celebrating the looks of someone who must have slept with another cucumber to get there.

SMH

False.

When will Nigerians stick to speaking about things they know? The constant "in America ehnn.." character is quite funny.

Fluent English, yes. Certainly NOT an American accent.

That only sounds like any other Nigerian trying real hard to put up a false accent.

False. MLM or MMM or whatever re-branded iteration of the concept boil down to the same thing.
It is not sustainable, as it will eventually crumble. Not if, but when.

These things have been around for decades.
It's sad to see that people in Nigeria seem to be making a recent aggressive move down that sorry path.
