oladapolif:
Its left for you to have a sensible mind about this man Ojukwu and what really triggered the Nigeria Civil War, that have wasted many igbos lives by putting them on a line. I am Yoruba and today, I decided to re-read about this Biafra war and why the Nigeria government did not want igbos to leave, because I am tired of Igbo cries and I want Nigeria to break up as well. I went on Wikipedia and to what I can gather about the causes of the war, was that Ojukwu doesnot like the Northerners in Power and he wants the igbos to be charge, due to the natural resource "Oil" is in the Eastern Region. The igbos were collecting Royalties from the Oil production even before the war. Most countries that supported Nigeria Govt. during war, was because of their Nations' interest. Uk was supporting Nigeria Govt cos of their Shell Company, USA was partially supporting Nigeria Govt cos of their Investments in Nigeria, Isreal was supporting Biafra cos of their nations Interest as well. Take a good look at these nations supporting each party, Do you think they give a fkkk about Africans, if they have nothing to gain from us?.( tell me about other Africa civil war and what Europe country give a fkkk, if they have nothing to offer to the Europeans?) Biafra claim they lost due to Starvation, will you feed your opponent when you are fighting, but Biafra refuse to acknowledge the fact that they went to war with less ammunition. Biafra have continue to blame Awolowo for their failure and forget the power of propaganda. We should be more focus on Ojukwu, who rushed the Biafra youths to war without better plan, We should also remember Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi, who is power hungry as Ojukwu and he also betrayed his fellow Biafrians, We should talk about how Ojukwu released Banjo to fight his own people. To me, I believe Ojukwu should have been held accountable when he was alive for leading Biafria to war when they are not fully ready, I believe the causes of the war should be more focused on and if Biafra want to create their nation, they should do it in a diplomatic way. I am not been biased in anyway, just according to what I could gather online about the causes of the civil war.

You did not read that Nigeria declared war on young unarmed Biafra? Biafra was for dialogue and Aburi Accord would have been the panacea for a peaceful break-up but for Awolowo's treachery. The war was unfortunate. Ojukwu is a Hero forever! You cannot buy heroism with money or propaganda. He is and will always be the man after the heart of the Igbos. And for your information, Biafra will be whether now or in the future. There will surely be Biafra!

One Nigeria is a mirage in the face of injustice, marginalization, quota system, born to rule mentality, inequality, gang up against a section of the country etc. One Nigeria an impossibility in the face of all these.

BIAFRA LIVES!!

Go and express your free will in your state, is that simple enough for you to understand.

Your attachment by force is no longer acceptable. And for your information I dont believe in the Bible, all the stories inside na wash.

What is the meaning or usefulness of hardworking if you cant do it in your own land and prosper your land?

Abeg move.

I will answer you by repeating:

EVERY EVIL DESIGN AGAINST A PEACE-LOVING PEOPLE SHALL SURELY FAIL! I only pity you and your likes. You will surely meet your waterloo. When you do not allow people to exercise their freewill. You will lose your freedom yourself. The man should resign because he should have killed all your 'enemies'. Go and read the bible book of Esther. You may not even live to see that era when every peace-loving, hardworking, law-abiding citizens no matter their ethnicity, religion, complexion, will be truly free in Nigeria.

Whether you read the Bible or nor, the event there will happen to you if you continue in this mindset. The wickedness in your heart is so huge. May God have mercy on you.

The truth is that Nigerian leaders, be it at the local, state or federal government level are corrupt. Let nobody deceive us by saying that he has the magic wand to wipe out corruption. Let's also face it, no one of these guys telling us about corruption has the courage, moral strength and sincerity to make a difference.
The present government is very corrupt. Let's face it. I wish the Nigerian military is as patriotic as the military we see elsewhere in sane societies. I would have advocated for a military take over of government and patriotically reorder the polity. But its a pity we do not have. As for the opposition as presently constituted, it is better for the present government to continue. It is very painful for me. Are you going to replace Aneneh (sorry for spelling his name badly - i mean the PDP BOD chairman) with Tinubu? Are you going to replace Alamesiah with Atiku? Are you going to replace Orji Kalu/Theordor Orji with Amechi? Are you going to ask Obasanjo to swap places with Bode George? These guys are like a half-naked FELA singing about injustice, corruption and bad government in Nigeria with wrapped indian hemp in his mouth, surrounded by naked women in a shrine. You guys are making sane people in this country get mad! I wish INEC has power to stop Jonathan, Buhari, APC and PDP from contesting and also preventing any member of these parties and their associates from joining any other party. May be the country will be better by that.

I repeat only GOD can say who he is truly behind or not...even some occult worshipers have consistent devil's ministry......so forget consistency, better focus on your own life as a christian and stop putting 100% trust on pastors....You will be totally surprised on that day called judgment day...

My brother, it is not only God that knows who a true worshiper of God. It is not only God that knows who a true servant of God. WE CAN KNOW! It is like saying only God knows who a good teacher, cleaner, driver etc. is. We are just being mentally and spiritually lazy when we make such statements. It also reveals how gullible we are as a people. There are ways of knowing who a good driver is. There are ways to know if someone who is employed to clean a place is doing it well. We can decipher if the Maths teacher is good or not. Why is it that it is only when it comes to preachers that we cannot know again. Jesus said that by their fruits we shall know them. This test is the perfect test. As for consistency, this is not the way to know if someone is true or false. NO ONE CAN BE MORE CONSISTENT THAN SATAN HIMSELF! Jesus told us that it is BY THEIR FRUITS you can know. What a person does. His activities. His way of life in secret and open. If someone is controversial, you better start shifting away from that person because it shows his lifestyle is not open. The life of a man of God supposed to be an open book that others can easily read. That is the only way they can influence others to God. Jesus said "LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE BEFORE MEN SO THAT THEY CAN SEE IT AND GLORIFY GOD WHO IS IN HEAVEN. If there are a lot of secrecy surrounding one's life, it shows that person is of darkness. If a man bribes journalists to cover up an action of his, that person has a questionable lifestyle. If a person cannot apologize if he has done something wrong, he is not of God. By the way, the life of a Christian/Man of God must have a definite day it started. If we cannot tell the day you repented of your sin and give your life to Jesus, YOU ARE A BIG, BIG FAKE. No man born of a man and woman can be born again in his or her mother's womb. Please help yourself by opening your eyes to be able to see if a man has the fruit of righteousness or not. STOP SINGING THE PRAISES OF AN ORDINARY MAN who is using you to become rich and famous. Please do not allow anyone frighten you by saying you should NOT speak up against a glaring wrong doing by any preacher. The only caveat there is when you know that someone by all standard is a true man of man (and like I said earlier, you can know them by the fruit their bear) and you are deliberately maligning him or her. Even at that, if you truly repent of that, God will forgive you. God will always defend His servant. The only sin that cannot be forgiven is the sin against the Holy Ghost. It is difficult for any man to commit that sin! Please free yourself and do not be deceived. The other day we hear a so called man of God put about 20 women including married women in family ways. Why can't we speak up against it. If a so called man of God is charging money before he can pray for people, why can't we say it is not right. YES WE CAN!

Entertainers are like gamblers, THEY USUALLY GO BROKER THAN THEY WERE BEFORE COMING TO LIMELIGHT.

A hardworking and focused businessman can easy regain is wealth back if it is taken from him. I.e; is the case of Bill Gates and Warren Buffet who even after giving out more than 80% of their whole wealth 4 years ago are now world's number 1 and 3 richest men in the world. Take Adenuga, Aliko and Jim Ovia's wealth and watch how they will bounce back within the shortest possible time.

My people, HARDWORK PAYS. easy way to wealth will eventually lead to abject poverty.

You all should start getting focused, humble, knowledgable and above all prayerful.

Forget all these entertainers, they live extremely FAKE LIVES.

This whole discussion of Buhari’s qualification is a negative distraction from the legitimate process of electioneering which should involve issues, records of the candidates, their character, and their capacity to govern. These are things we should be talking about. The constitution is very clear on the issue of qualification. It states that you are qualified to be a President if you have achieved the level of school certificate or its equivalent. Buhari has been to Military College in Britain, he has been to colleges in India and USA, involving high level of training and intellect. We need to ask if participation and completion of courses at these levels and the basic officers training in Mons Officers Cadet School are less than school certificates. On the contrary, you need school certificate to attend those courses. So, if he has attended all those courses, then there is absolutely no need to be talking about secondary school certificates anymore. ~

thinking that Buhari will ever prosecute anybody at all especially the Northerners, is day-dreaming. These guys are actually the ones routing for his presidency. It is corrupt Nigerians like Tinubu that are campaigning for him. Check out his antecedents:

1. Put Shagari who he overthrown as a corrupt politician under house arrest
2. Put Lateef Jakande, an honest governor of lagos, who he cancelled his laudable metroline project, in jail
3. Allowed his inlaw to smuggle 53 suitcases of local and foreign currency but jailed Fela Kuti for being in possession of a few genuine
currencies
4. Made a retroactive law that killed southern youths but allowed Idiagbon (Kwara, North) to take an under aged boy to Mecca
5. Built good roads, schools and hospital with PTF funds while neglecting roads, schools and hospitals in the south
6. Supported the promotion of Sharia but fought to destroy Biafra
7. Wants a northerner like himself to be president but do not want a southerner like unlce Jona to be Nigerian President

Meanwhile, as a former Head of State, does the writer expect him to start swearing affidavits? Has he ever seen or heard of a past Head of State looking for employment?
This people(Heads of State, Presidents) has gotten to the highest level any human being can hope and aspire for. You don't expect them to be going about or worrying themselves over certificates.
Remember also, that the records of all military officers are CLASSIFIED. if you know the meaning of something being CLASSIFIED, you will know better than to write all the rubbish you just wrote.
Also, if you don't know, Major General Muhammadu Buhari was once the Secretary of the Military Board. If he has any reason to cheat, he would have included the said results in his file, but because he has no reason to cheat, and being an honest man, he NEVER checked his own file.
Now, pdp and GEJ has just achieve there aim of rubbishing the Nigerian Army. This is because, with all the integrity in the Nigerian Army, how can fey say they don't have there academic records of someone who rose to the height of being the Head of State.
I'll stop here, so you can sit and think of all the rubbish you have been writing.
Please, stop missinforming Nigerians the same way your elders misinformed you about the civil war.

ARE YOU WRITING THIS TRASH FOR ALMAJARIS OR WHAT?

DON'T FORGET ALSO THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 131&318 OF NIGERIAN CONSTITUTION,THE EXCERPTS ARE,

(a) he is a citizen of Nigeria by birth;

"School Certificate or its equivalent" means

(b) education up to Secondary School Certificate level; or
(c) Primary Six School Leaving Certificate or its equivalent and -

(ii) attendance at courses and training in such institutions as may be acceptable to the Independent National Electoral Commission for periods totalling up to a minimum of one year, and
(iii) the ability to read, write, understand and communicate in the English language to the satisfaction of the Independent National Electoral Commission, and
(d) any other qualification acceptable by the Independent National Electoral Commission;

THE MAN IS HIGHLY QUALIFIED TO RUN AND NO COURT OF LAW CAN DISQUALIFY HIM!

So why did he lie that he has a WASC? Is this a sign of a man of integrity? Can he honestly promote anti-corruption as he has made us believe with this type of scandal? We should always ask questions. We should as much as possible objectively weigh the two BIG BURDENS we have to put up with in this forthcoming elections. We have two clueless people struggling to lead us. I have the following questions for both candidates:

JONATHAN

1. What tangible achievements have u got to show us in these last six years?
2. Where are the promises you made during the fuel price increase crisis?
3. What major difference have u been able to make in the lives of Nigerians

I'm still trying to decipher why you said this because for a fact, I know marriage doesn't kill love. It's being unable to deal with changes in circumstances that slowly crushes it. Or not.

In deed, marriage does not kill love. It actually nurtures it. What happens is that most marriages entered into ignorantly invariably frustrates the couples and kills their 'love'. Marriage founded on love outlasts the couple. A lot of people think they are in love when in reality, they are very, very far away from love. What many people call love is actually feelings/affection/infatuation/beauty/good dressing/comfort/intimacy/wealth etc. Some of these things are actually found in love but they in themselves are not love. Love is tangible. Love is measurable. Love is action. Love is choice. Love is decision. Love is patience. Love is Kindness. Love is unity/peace. Love is endurance. Love is sacrifice, etc. Love hardly fails! Love is the pillar of marriage. You cannot first build a house before adding its pillars. You add the pillars before being assured of a strong, safe and reliable place of abode. Yes, sometimes, a house founded on strong pillars collapses. This is sometimes because the builders are not experienced, building with absent-mindedness, did not check well the soil on which the strong pillars are put, the pillars are not well fortified with quality materials etc. These things happen but it is one in a million! But houses that collapsed as a result of lack of pillars are rampant.

I don't know how to argue concerning relationship matter because its not a one shoe fits all thing. From the experiences I have had and also from other experiences, I have just concluded that love isn't the bane of marriage. Once there is tolerance, trust, respect, mutual understanding, commitment, whatever other qualities I need in a man and of course sex.ual chemistry then we are good to go. Love stems from all these things.

We are saying the same thing then. What I am saying is before you say I do to any man/woman, be sure that:

1. You have mutual respect for each other - for each other's body too (this does not come in one day)
2. You tolerate each other (this also will mean unconditional acceptance) this also is not a day's job
3. You trust each other (this come with test, remember) not a day's job
4. You reach some understanding (concerning money, job, children, inlaws, conduct, dressing etc) not a day's job
5. You are pooling resources together to make the relationship work (infatuation does not have this patience)
6. You share affection/attraction (You must be proud to associate/be with each other - not one person in front the other behind) takes time too
7. You are ready to defend each other with your life (this is one of the major test of love)
8. You are willing and able to support him/her in weakness/sickness/setbacks/misfortunes etc.
9. You are willing to share your resources (money, power, favour, privilege, talents, etc) this takes a lot of time.
10. You are ready/willing/able to be in subjection to a man (in case of a woman)
11. You are ready/willing/able to love, protect, provide for a woman (in case of a man)
12. You are ready to remain faithful to each other for life
13. You are ready to live together and nurture the union for life

Love in marriage is not a 100 meters dash. It is a capsule filled with all these and more. It is not that "I feel good" feeling. Love is not feeling at all. There are feelings in love but it is not feeling.

There are different kinds of love. I am writing about marriage love here please. So before you tell a man/woman that
you love him/her (in the marriage sense) be sure to have thought on these and many more.

These lend credence to the fact that love must be the bane of marriage and must also come BEFORE its consummation, not the other way round.

magmama: Love can come after marriage when you realise that the person is not bad as much as you felt afteral. Marriage is all about understanding, tolerance, respect.

In this kind if marriage, communication might be zero at the onset but can be developed when not forced.

I have just few questions for you please:

1. WHAT IF IT COMMUNICATION BREAKS DOWN?

2. WHAT IF ANY OF THE COUPLES EXHITS INTOLERANCE, MISUNDERSTANDING, DISRESPECT?

3. WHAT HAPPENS PLEASE?

Those things listed are not the different kinds of love. They are just what a rational being should look out for before entering into marriage. Most people who claim to be in love ignore some of this salient points which later leads to a breakdown of the marriage when the love no longer sustains them. Love is different from trust, commitment and all those things you listed.

Most people leave Number 4 till after marriage but yet they are in love. Most people even start having issues concerning number 4 before marriage but believe they will sort it out after marriage because they are in love.

If you label Number 7 as a test of love, how then can you also call it a type of love. smiley

Do not let musicians fool you. Love is not in the 'air'. Love is like music produced by an orchestra. It is a combination and cohesion of actions and events. When someone visits a sick person in a hospital, it is an act of love. It is also love. But love is not only visiting people in the hospital. Love is not feelings. Love has feelings but not feelings.

If anyone leaves these things until marriage is consummated, it is not a wise decision! They might get it right later, just like a dead clock is right only but twice. But many, many more people will be trapped in marriage thereby giving the wrong impression to the unmarried about the marriage life that is supposed to be 'heaven on earth'.

All these stuff I listed, to me, is love that is not BLIND - Shine your Eye o.
