Kindly identify these Fulani groups you refer to because last time I checked there are only two (Miyetti Allah for nomadic herdsmen, ACF for general Hausa Fulani).

The Fulani people, and criminal Fulani herdsmen are like the Yoruba/Igbo people and their criminal ritualists/kidnappers/cannibals. They are completely distinct.

A lot of attention is given to boko haram but it is possible that a higher number of Nigerians have been killed by the so-called herdsmen than boko haram!

Don't forget that the Fulani have installed an Emir in Ilorin which we all know is a Yoruba land till today. They are about the finish off the MB belt and are already carrying out attacks in the south. Mr Rawani, there seems to be some grand design behind these Fulani attacks and FFK is doing well to shout about it now before it is too late.

We do not want anywhere in the south whether east or west to become another MB.

The Fulani have been carrying out massive and coordinated attacks against the people of the MB such that if the trend continues, it is a question of when not how they would eventually exterminate the people of the MB and occupy their lands. FFK is doing his best to draw the attention of Southern Nigeria to the activities of the Fulani, you may say that these little attacks here and there in the south were carried out by some Fulani 'criminals' but I beg to differ.

Fulani people destroy farmlands at will both in the west and the east; they rape women and kill at will. Do you expect us to keep quiet until your people begin to carry out massive and coordinated attacks like is currently going on in the MB? Never!! Are the Fulanis a special group of Nigerians? We see Fulani herdsmen walking freely with military grade AK 47 riffles and security agencies look the other way. If say an Igbo or Yoruba man is seen even at night with a locally made pistol he is arrested immediately and might spend the rest of his life in prison. Why is it that the Fulanis can brandish riffles in broad daylight but other Nigerians cannot?

I have also noticed that the herdsmen have become more daring in their campaign of violence since Buhari became president. More astonishing is the fact that Buhari has not made any comments about this fulani attacks here and there. Will Buhari claim not to know what these so-called herdsmen have been doing all over the country?

The body of your statement does not tally with the opening. You clearly distinguished the criminal herdsmen from the Fulani race, but seemed to have a problem with being consistent and went on attributing the herdsmen's bloody attacks on the Fulani people (made up of stationary and nomadic people). This seems insincere Eurobomber though I completely agree with you that we should keep talking about the criminal activities and FFK has that right as well.

It's the only umbrella organization for the herdsmen so it's not unusual, and they themselves need to be proactive about their members activities. However the criminal herdsmen will not be cannon fodder for attacks against the entire Fulani people.

Femi Fani Kayode is reputed for his elastic tongue, unprincipled stance and immature, poorly thought out outbursts such as those made regarding Bianca Ojukwu and the other women that had the misfortune of being intimately linked with him at some point or the other. His penchant for sucking in the vomit he utters, came to a climax with his twilight support for the PDP after consistently rubbishing them severally in the past.

However FFK's recent vituperations against the entire Fulani race are not his usual uncoordinated diatribes. His insistence on attacking the entire Fulani people because of the activities of a few soulless, bloody, and murderous criminals appears to be by design, and co-ordinated with other elements and groups that are strongly opposed to the emergence of Muhammadu Buhari as President such as Afenifere, Chief Falae, and some disgruntled elements East of the Niger.

The activities of some murderous blood sucking Fulani herdsmen are barbaric, criminal and downright condemnable. The lives that have been needlessly lost and families traumatized is more than enough reason for Government to tackle the menace immediately and headlong and I admonish the authorities to take prompt action.

However it must by emphasized that it is completely illogical to paint the entire Fulani race which have produced the likes of Aliko Dangote, Jelani Aliyu (inventor), BUA etc., who have contributed greatly to the Nigerian economy and attracted accolades to her, with the murderous activities of a few criminal nomadic herdsmen (P.S not all Fulani's are nomadic culturally and historically). This is akin to demonizing other tribes because of the activities of a few kidnappers, ritualists and baby factory operators. It is a travesty of common sense and it is clearly politically motivated.

At this time of national recovery, such careless statements by FFK are retrogressive, provocative and reek of political sabotage, which will not be tolerated any further. It is hoped that the wiser ones around him will admonish him to take caution and warn him to desist from channeling his political frustrations towards the Fulani people.

A Fulani socio-cultural association, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore yesterday sent a final warning to former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-kayode over insult on the Fulani race.

National president of the association, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bodejo gave the warning after consultation with the South-West organisations’ leaders in Abuja.

According to Bodejo, Fani-Kayode have earlier described all the Fulani herdsmen as ‘tse-tse fly, locust, leeches’ and also called for the ban of herdsmen from Southern Nigeria.

The Fulani leader said further that if he did not apologise to the Fulani race, they would be forced to take legal action against him. “We want Femi Fani-Kayode to publicly withdraw his hate speech and wrongful criminal allegation against the entire Fulani race and us in particular, immediately to avoid legal action by us.”

Bodejo called on President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure that peace and tranquility prevails in Nigeria and that public utterances by some Nigerian are strictly watch to avoid breach of public peace in any manner in the interest of the nation.

“We want FG to deal with anybody no matter highly place in Nigeria if they did not guide their utterances.”

Sarb Energy, incorporated on September 19, 2008, was specifically established for the controversial deal.

This newspaper has established that Sarb Energy has link with at least one political associate of former President Jonathan, whose five-year reign as leader of Africa’s largest oil producer was characterized by allegations of massive corruption, especially in the oil and gas sector.

Rather than Sarb importing the crude for use of the Zambian government at home, it was agreed that the company would sell the commodity to other traders, split profit 50-50 with the government and then remit the Zambian government’s share to official administration accounts.

But that didn’t happen. What indeed happened was that the Nigerians sold the crude and failed to make payments into Zambian government accounts.

Instead, according to Mr. Ekpene, parts of the proceeds were diverted into an account held by Iexoria, a Singapore-based company allegedly controlled by Henry Banda, the Zambian president’s son.

No evidence has emerged till date indicating that Zambia received any revenue from the deal.

Impunity.

Impunity means "exemption from punishment or loss or escape from fines".

The PDP was synonymous with impunity as could be seen by the complete disregard for the rule of law, as demonstrated in the cases of:

- the refusal to investigate the Ekitigate crisis,

- refusal to penalize Oritsejafor and co for the failed arms deal,

- initial refusal to release the NNPC audit report,

- refusal to investigate political murders,

- flagrant abuse of state instruments for electoral benefit,

- failure to investigate OBJ's $16bn power scam,

- failure to investigate and prosecute the Immigration jobs scam/disaster among many others.


The culture of the PDP was that of corruption, impunity and lawlessness which gradually and consistently destroyed Nigeria over 16 years of its misrule and it is a travesty of logic to blame anyone else for their disastrous failure.

Edwin Clark should bury his head in shame for speaking from both sides of his mouth. He couldn't take the heat from his kinsmen, especially the ex-militants and finally folded despite his advanced years.

It's silly of the IMF to condemn the devaluation of the Chinese currency when China is a highly industrialized and manufacturing nation, and then turn around to prescribe the same thing for our oil based economy, whose prices and output we do not control, meaning we cannot benefit from the core motive of devaluation which is to encourage the growth of our foreign reserves through increased capital in-flow triggered by cheaper exports which would then boost the Naira.

The senselessness of IMF's desire for Nigeria to devalue our currency while crying about China's devaluation underlines the fact that these shylocks are only protecting their western interests. We are still recovering from their recommended SAP policy in '86.
