izmercy: Morning, Lemme just add this; one thing you need most is confidence. Try not to stutter and please be audible. Also never say anything you can't defend especially during presentation and interview. And the almighty question "tell us about yourself" is your way to paradise or hell. please manage it well.
Note: it's more of smartness test (ma opinion). were u asked questions during/after ur presentation? who are u presenting to; a panel or the whole candidates? if panel, how many were they? rgds |

Profile and Timeline:
Single with no dependant. Program: MA Geography. Previous Degree: B.Sc. Geography. Current employment status: Graduate Assistant in Geography department at a Fed Nigerian university. Paper Visa application submitted with upfront medicals on the 14th March, 2017. Upfront medicals passed around 2 weeks after. Document received by embassy acknowledgment email on the 5th of April, 2017. Checked Online profile status as "updated" on 6th of June, 2017. I clicked message and saw “Application Status: Approved”.
Personal Documents submitted:
Original Letter of Introduction from workplace. Copy of Employment letter as Graduate Assistant. 1 Pay slip (Arrears payment). Submitted it to support employment and also show source of about #500,000 that entered my account. Copy of employment ID. Copy of NPC Birth cert Resume Copy of a Lagos state Volunteer award certificate. Copy of Primary, SSCE, NCE, BSC, NYSC, TOEFL, and Origin Certificate. All notarized, since I could get it as cheap as #300 for each. Statement of Purpose Original Bank Statement (6 months and few weeks). Balance about #600,000. Flow about #2million (Sincerely, I don’t know the thing take reach like that). Also, prior to visit to my bank for its printing, I deliberately checked my bank account profile online to ensure the account statement won’t read zero opening balance. That accounted for the few weeks added to the six months. Printed Tuition schedule. 1st year tuition $12,696 cad. 2nd year tuition $3,693. Original Admission and scholarship Letter. Admission letter says I have maximum of four years to complete degree, no minimum with 1st year scholarship of $24,000 Cad. Scholarship letter says 1st year scholarship of $25,788 cad and 2nd year scholarship of $21,288 cad. Copy of Land survey Document. Location is my village. Note: They only need asset, they didn’t specify its location. Police clearance cert. Upfront Medical paper. Passport Photo taken at VAC Lagos. The one I went with was rejected. 2 Copies of Passport Biodata page. 1 was stamped and returned at VAC. Guess the retuned copy is what I will show to collect documents.
Family Documents:
Copy of birth certificates for siblings from NPC and Church as available. That is, for those that NPC birth cert was not available, I submitted the one issued by my family church. Copy of Property documents (Land and cars) of my dad. Land documents was notarised also. Dad Letter of support with a paragraph stating that he is aware of my full scholarship, that he transferred #300,000 to my bank account on to support my visa application and that he is willing to do more if needed. Dad’s bank account statement with a balance of about #1.5m Copy of Parent marriage certificate with their passport affixed on it.
Note that I tried as much as possible to be explicit. However, you can ask question if you need more clarity.
Thanks to all past applicants that submitted document list. I downloaded the pdf and created my list-of-documents-to-submit from it. I also used a sample letter of support from here to develop the one for my dad.
Once again, special thanks to TheSoj for reviewing my admission and visa documents. I remove my cap and take a bow, I am humble sir. Special thanks to Yemdogg for full review and comments on all my visa documents and for the continuous reassurance that everything would be fine, particularly during the long waiting period. I pray Almighty God will reward and bless you beyond your expectations. Also to Nony1 for the insightful information on the expenses and funds available part of a major CIC document, I am highly grateful.
I pray God will continue to give us blessings and miracles that calm storms cos mine did that this morning. Thank you all. God bless us all. congrats brotherly. Indeed, you've been of great help to this thread and we are grateful to God for what he has done for u. |

What is the designated contact information ? Is it the information of the person in canada? I guess you are applying for the $5 Gcms note, in this case, the contact information details they need is that of the individual (a legal Canadian resident or citizen) that you are giving the consent to get the info on ur behalf. I hope this answers ur question. Regards |

We made them realise that it is their fault because we complied to their request so it not justified to deny the visa on that ground
To God be the Glory they re-open the case and requested for new acceptance letter without medical mail again yesterday
What amazed was that they changed his Application number and was given 10days to provide new LOE.
It can only be God Truly, it can only be God. Congrats in advance. it will end in praise. Cheers |

chimah3: That is why it is called being sponsored and that is why you guys give the visa officer room to deny you guys visa because they start checking your income and using it to determine if it is a good enough tie to make you come back. I'm referring to a case where your salary isn't sensible...just like a case of the person who asked the question. But if you earn well...PLEASE by all means put in your payslip in your application.
Putting a payslip of a salary of 50000 or 20000 naira is plain stupid...Reason it!!!
And please i'm speaking from experience, I helped a friend package his application in Feb. Told him not to include his payslip as i usually do because he had a sponsor and his visa came out on Wednesday...So i speak from experience. and this is the second successful one! hello boss, what of a situation where one's sponsor wants to transfer the $10,000CAD for upkeep for a year to an applicant? in a situation where the applicant's personal account has been inactive for months with little or no fund in it, but an active salary account (e. g 50,000 monthly as an example), are u saying d sponsor should not transfer d money of upkeep to d applicant since his/her SOA isn't needed? or should d fund be transferred to d inactive personal account or salary account? Best regards |

I HATE TYPING IN CAPITALS. BUT THIS IS TO SHOW HONOUR TO WHIM IT IS DUE. THIS DUDE BROUGHT ME TO THIS FORUM AND I MUST REJOICE WITH HIM THISDAY OF HIS TRV ARRIVAL. CONGRATS BABA. GREATER HEIGHTS IN JESUS NAME. CHEERS BRO Austinpee4: LONG POST ALERT!! I decided to share this whole story and testimony to encourage you out there waiting and looking forward to a positive outcome on your study permit application.
I applied for my study permit (paper/master) on sept 6th 2016 with upfront medical for winter 2017 start. After about 11weeks and few days, i was contacted by CIC and was asked why i hadn't respond to their request for additional document sent 1 week prior(very unusual), i responded that i didn't see such request, screen grabbed myCIC account(i linked my paper app),my email inbox and sent to them. Apparently, they felt they did as i only had 10 days to respond or have my app refused. I couldn't even think what additional document it could be as i felt i submitted all documents necessary. Sent another response to them, for wia! them no send me! 5 days to deadline, i was sent the request and lo and behold the additional doc request was a proof of course registration and school fees payment! I was anxious considering the time left and the whole forex palava.Meanwhile,i already initiated form A process before then, had to cancel it, get the cash and started sourcing for means to pay through black market.
Fast forward to D day, i had not even seen forex to buy let alone initiate a transaction. I just missed the deadline i told myself! Just as i took a deep breathe, i heard in my spirit 'be stil, everything will work in your favour and for your good' I still tried to make payment days after D day, sent both the telex and school reciept through their email, yet no response. I also had fully registered for my courses as the deadline for this was also fast approaching, had a friend book a cheaper rebookable travel date with the airline he worked for, during all this period, no reply from CIC! In all these, i noticed i had unusual peace within myself after i missed the deadline, i worried less about my application, i was still reading and helping here as much as i could. Then boom! God started showing himself! Firstly, i got promoted at work exactly one week after i missed the deadline, also after i didn't hear from CIC, i decided to cancel my reservation since it was rebookable, told the airline why i cancelled it but to my surprise, the responded that after i get my visa and ready to leave, i will be upgraded to business class, their manager was told my predicament and personally did dat(see grooving!) as though that was not enough and when i didn't bother about CIC again, i decided to play small to myCIC akant, brethren! The something had been approved few days ago! I couldn't hold back the smile! It was really soothing to see and know! I already deferred my start to fall 2017(make i enjoy the new salary o jare!) The reward of the long wait has been overwhelming. God has truly showed me his favour and grace throughout those period of waiting! It wasn't funny but we really never know what is waiting for us! To everyone at different stages of the process, keep pushing and holding on, Things will always work in our favour! You will also share your goodnews!
N/b..got to know CIC contacted the body dat gave me a permit for indefinite stay in the european union to carry out further development on a project we developed few years ago.The fees payment was to show tie to Canada so i won't consider that option. |

VMpi744: A = 1; B= 2; C = 3; .... K = 11; M = 13; N = 14; P = 16; .... Z = 26
So solving our eg.:
MN5, KP4, ___
(13,14,5); (11,16,4); (....)
The first character reduces by 2 The 2nd increases by 2 The last number reduces by 1
So...
(13,14,5); (11,16,4); (9,18,3)
9 = I; 18 = R
Therefore: the next in sequence would be *IR3* Wow.. much thanks boss for this simplified analysis. God bless. cheers |

Abduletudaye: How does SOE, LOE, and LOI differ from each other? To d best of my knowledge, I think SOE/LOE are d same and means a letter where u explain the reasons why u r going for a course, how it will be of benefit to u, etc while LOI is written on ur behalf by the company u work for stating ur profile with them. That's what I think they mean. |
