Guys, I'm innocent of these accusations. It's not like I love acting grandiloquent with my grammar neither do I come out to sound verbose or something, but I'm a logophile and a wordsmith; hence my proclivity for maybe not sounding too "plain" lexically sometimes.

So long #OluwaIsInvolved, things will fall in place at the right time. Best wishes in your future endeavours. Happy Sunday Everybody. Regards CAstruggle: Generally, your application will follow the below path after the submission.
BG: Not Applicable (NA1) Medical passed – (MEP) BG: In Progress (IP1) – R10 check is done here. BG: Not Applicable (NA2) – Eligibility check is done here. BG: In Progress (IP2) – BG: Not Applicable (NA3) – Sometimes this doesn’t come PPR: Passport Request CoPR: Confirmation of Permanent Residence So it is in below order
AOR – NA1 – MEP – IP1 – NA2 – IP3 – NA3 – PPR – CoPR
AOR: This is a letter you will get within 24 hours after submission of your PR application.
NA1: “Not applicable“. This will be your BG status message as soon as you submit and get AOR. Typically, this will be status till the time you get your medical passed status.
MEP: “You passed the medical exam“. This will generally happen after approx 25-30 days after your AOR. For PNP applicants it can take more time generally.
IP1: This will happen one or two days after your medical. Sometimes on the same day itself. BG status message in this stage will be “Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.”. CIC agents will do R10, criminality checks during this stage. Once they feel everything is good then they will change it to NA. These things will happen at CIO Office (Centralized Intake Office).
NA2: “Not applicable“. This will signify that IP1 is completed. Sometimes IP1 will take few hours and if we have not checked our account during the time it was in IP1, it won’t be possible to know that we are in NA1 or NA2. Our file will be transferred to CPC (Case Processing Center) where agents will do eligibility assessments. If they feel everything is okay, then they will provide their recommendation to Visa Officer and same time they will initiate Security Checks.
IP2: BG status message in this stage will be “We are processing your background check. we will send you a message if we need more information.“. Visa Officer starts reviewing or after reviewing all agents recommendations. On the same day, PPR request will be triggered if the applicant paid RPRF up front. These things will be done at CPC office.
NA3: “Not applicable“. This will signify that IP2 is completed. This status is not visible is many cases and direct PPR request is placed from IP2.
PPR: Passport Request. You will get an email for that and you may not get an update in your CIC account for this.
ADR: Sometimes an additional document is requested in IP1 or IP2 stage. An email, as well as message in your CIC account, will be sent. |

esosa4real: It's not like it's a confirmed theory , we have just discovered that majority of people with uk history, wether they got the visa or not most times get LVO.
Better you submit schedule A upfront. It's sometimes not requested even with history of past visa refusals. It depends on officer reviewing your file.
Let me give u real case scenarios. I and my Bestie did dis cana waka together. We both had uk refusals in the past...
Me- I had one uk visit visa + one refusal + us refusal + recent us visa --- i got london vo + schedule A adr My friend - He also got uk refusal twice but no uk visa ....he also got london vo but surprisingly no Schedule A adr.
So it depends, no one know the exact rules, people sha sometimes observe a trend which is also not definite everytime. Hello Esosa, I'm kinda new to this thread. Currently reading back and forth. Pls, what's a Schedule A form/adr as I've not come across it? Rgds |

Plus u can contact your then supervisor who can help u with your job description on a plain sheet and add his complimentary card.

The chinese government scholarship popularly referred to as CSC scholarship gives you the chance to study fully without paying a dime. There are various categories, but I would like to stick to the postgraduate studies(Msc and PhD).
Application info can be found on: www.csc.edu.cn ...The site is written in both english and chinese and also self explanatory.
*It is also advisable to contact prospective supervisors in your intended school as this will facilitate your acceptance and eventual admission.

simiolu1: The problem with a lot of training programs in this country is that students are not given proper orientation. That is why I like foreign training programs. Before you start a course, you should be told the things you must know, the things you should know and the things that are nice to know.
For instance, if you have no knowledge of what a database is and what database management systems are, you have no business learning Oracle. You should be well grounded in the principles of databases, database design and implementation first before learning about a specific database engine.
Oracle is a database software by Oracle. It is usually used by enterprise companies because it comes with a hefty price tag. The reason it is not so common is that there are Open Source (free) alternatives that would do the job quite well. Some include MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL etc.
If you had the fundamental knowledge of databases, learning a new software to manage a database or a new database engine would be a walk in the park. For instance, I use MySQL engine for programming. To manage the engine, I have about four software installed on my laptop: PhpMyAdmin, HeidiSQL, DBForgeStudio and MySQL Workbench. They all do practically the same thing but have their use cases. One engine; four softwares.
So my brother; go learn about databases; know how to design a database schema from the ground up. Learn about relationships between data entities and how they can be modelled; learn about normalization and optimization. When you know all these; then go relearn Oracle, MySQL, SQL; NoSQL and learn how to write queries! Lovely. Thanks |
Career › Re: 5 Reason You Should Learn ICT Skills While Doing Other Jobs by RAY12345(m): 10:44pm On Sep 22, 2017 |
simiolu1: Before going anywhere to learn about databases, try a Google search for Microsoft Virtual Academy or MTA database fundamentals. You would definitely get one or two introductory courses to databases by Microsoft for free.
Oracle is a proprietary software. So you need to learn about DBMS before learning the specific engines like MySQL, PostgresSQL, MongoDB, Oracle, SQL or even NoSQL
If you can, download this book: Database Design, Implementation and Management. It is like the Bible of database professionals |

jnyuwa02: This is rather puzzling going from first denial based on insufficient funds and trying to tackle the problem by paying your fees, only to get slammed with purpose of visit, travel history and insufficient funds. Perhaps you didn't write a statement of explanation with your second application detailing your passion for studies and what you intend to do upon return to Nogeria? What are you studying? Hope not PGD? Your application was handled by two different VOs it's clear to me. The second one that made the decision on your second refusal was at discretion to make his/her own independent decision and so did, adding two more reasons she/he deemed you ineligible for a TRV. Order GCMS notes and let's take it from there. Baba J, thanks for ur reply. I actually wrote SOE/SOP stating all that. how I enrolled for the networking training because of the passion I have for d course and other reasons with plans upon return to Nigeria. I actually studied Elect Engr, going for Masters in Networking technology. Yeah, hopefully, the GCMS note will explain the real reason. Thanks once again for ur concern. Rgds |

Hello All.
1st app: Applied Sept, 2016 Denied 8 weeks after in Nov, 2016. Proposed prog: Masters in Network Tech Undergraduate: B.Eng in Elect Engr(2013) NYSC (2014) Between 2014 and 2015, worked briefly in a school where i taught maths but didnt include it in my app. I enrolled for a Networking training btw 2015 and 2016. Passed the certification exam (CCNA) in May, 2016.
Docs submitted: All CIC docs. Upfront medical Bachelors degree and transcript. Resume Admission letter Sponsor's letter Cert from networking institute. CCNA certificate. Siblings' and parent's birth certs police report Sponsor's docs
Reasons for first refusal: Insufficient fund (the 2nd and 3rd boxes were ticked). I applied for GCMS file and it stated that "d applicant is being sponsored by third party. limited evidence provided t show the relationship btw applicant and sponsor. Based on the evidence provided, I am not satisfied that applicant has sufficient available funds for tuition and ukpeep during first year of studies in CA".
To tackle this in my 2nd application: Sponsor paid
2nd app: applied in July, 2017 Refused in Sept. Reasons ticked: Travel history, purpose of visit and personal assets/financial status.
Big thanks to Austinpee4, my personal person. I really appreciate you alot. It will surely end in praise.

maziude: Hello guys,
This post is for those whose programs are research or thesis based whether Masters or PhD. Please ensure your supervisors trust you enough to handle deadlines.
The supervisors here (and I am sure else where) are particular about deadlines. So meeting these deadlines is key to gaining their trusts that you can work alone with minimal supervision if need be.
In most cases, before delving in into your particular research area, you will be required to do a survey of papers in your field. This survey would normally be in the form of papers reviews (Published papers related to your research areas). Please note, you don't have to read the entire contents of a paper to know if it suits you or not. Read the abstract first; if it contains what you need, go to the technical area and results sections to get what you want. This is not the general principle but it is enough to get you by.
Most times, your supervisor MIGHT assign papers to you to read or you might have to get it yourself. To do this you need to search databases related to your research area. I am only aware of Springer (http://www.springer.com/us/), ScienceDirect (http://www.sciencedirect.com/), IEEE (http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/Xplore/home.jsp), Elsevier (http://www.sciencedirect.com/) and the famous google scholar (http://scholar.google.ca/). In most cases, your university have access to this databases as such downloading journals from these databases are free and readily available. But remember to reference them.
When doing surveys, you might most likely forget the papers you have read, so it is better to use a good referencing system. I use citeulike (http://www.citeulike.org/). But there are others too like, mendeley (https://www.mendeley.com/), endnote (http://endnote.com/), etc, use that which works well for you. The good thing about this Bibliography sites is it helps you organize your references and you can link them to your online latex platform.
When it is time to write papers for conferences, journals or any technical papers, please use latex. It makes your work tidy and beautiful. Don't worry about downloading the software, just use online services like www.overleaf.com , www.sharelatex.com etc. They have templates for almost every journal.
Finally, when you are stuck in your research, ask your colleagues, fellow lab mates, your network, and your supervisor. Remember, it is better to ask than to assume.
Godspeed and wisdom in our pursuits.
Warm Regards,
Mazi
PS: for those who are non-thesis based, I will find out about yours and post it here in due time. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Faith Building Bible Scriptures For Every Challenge In Life by RAY12345(m): 7:39pm On Sep 10, 2017 |
ADEWUMIMichael: Jesus relied on the Word of God alone to overcome obstacles, including the devil. God's Word is alive and powerful (Hebrews 4:12), useful for correcting us when we are wrong and teaching us what is right (2 Timothy 3:16). So, it makes sense for us to carry God's Word in our hearts through memorization, to be ready to face any problem, every difficulty, and whatsoever challenge that life can send our way.
BIBLE VERSES ABOUT FAITH FOR EVERY CHALLENGE Presented here are a number of problems, difficulties, and challenges that we face in life, along with corresponding answers from God's Word:
ANXIETY Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)
A BROKEN HEART The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18 (NASB)
CONFUSION For God is not the author of confusion but of peace ... 1 Corinthians 14:33 (NKJV)
DEFEAT We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair ... 2 Corinthians 4:8 (NIV)
DISAPPOINTMENT
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. Romans 8:28 (NLT)
DOUBT I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. Matthew 17:20 (NIV)
FAILURE The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. Proverbs 24:16 (NLT)
FEAR For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT)
GRIEF Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4 (NIV)
HUNGER Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4 (NIV)
IMPATIENCE Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD. Psalm 27:14 (NIV)
IMPOSSIBILITIES Jesus replied, "What is impossible with men is possible with God." Luke 18:27 (NIV)
INABILITY And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 2 Corinthians 9:8 (NIV)
INADEQUACY I can do all this through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13 (NIV)
LACKING DIRECTION Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT)
LACKING INTELLIGENCE If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. James 1:5 (NIV)
LACKING WISDOM It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. 1 Corinthians 1:30 (NIV)
LONELINESS ... the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6 (NIV)
MOURNING Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4 (NIV)
POVERTY And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 (NKJV)
REJECTION No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:39 (NIV)
SORROW I will turn their mourning into joy and will comfort them and give them joy for their sorrow. Thoughtful Faith for Your Life Sign up to receive study aids and practical answers to help you grow spiritually and pursue an authentic, purposeful Christian life. IGN UP Jeremiah 31:13 (NASB)
TEMPTATION No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NIV)
TIREDNESS ... but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)
UNFORGIVENESS So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1 (NLT)
UNLOVED See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! 1 John 3:1 (NLT)
WEAKNESS My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)
WEARINESS Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV)

Aside people who have made attempts to withdraw their application and it turned out to be a medical call, as there been any situation whereby one's application is outrightly withdrawn based on the person's request even after exceeding the processing time. 3. By carrying this act, will one also get a refund of app fees since it's more like the application hasn't been processed/decided? Thanks Hello Judgepelumi 1, since your application has exceeded the processing time, it's advisable to send a case specific enquiry about your application than withdrawing it. 2. no idea. 3. You will not get a refund for a withdrawn application. Regards |

someborry: Dis one I just dey see upfront midicals, does that mean it's better to do upfront medical? Hello Someborry, it's better but not compulsory. it's just a way of being proactive and not waiting for CIC to send medicals request mail. Cheers |
