topeorekoy:The reverse is actually the case. They want Henry + 10 Million Pounds. ![]() They want 25 Million Pounds for Eto! ARSENAL have been priced out of a sensational swoop for Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger flew to Africa two weeks ago for a secret meeting with the Cameroon international. And the Frenchman came away confident he could land his man after Eto'o revealed he would jump at the chance to play in the Premier League. Wenger reported the good news to his board but was disappointed to be told Arsenal could not meet Barca's asking price. The Spanish giants will not part with Eto'o, 26, unless they receive an offer in the region of £25million. Wenger has spent just £2m on Polish goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski since the end of last season. But his target of signing a major star to keep skipper Thierry Henry happy is unlikely to materialise. And Eto'o will not get his wish of playing alongside Henry — unless the French ace joins him at the Nou Camp. http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2002390000-2007270774,00.html |

Guys, there are rumours that Ricardo Quaresma is going to sign for Chelsea soon. Has anyone heard anything like this? |
You guys would be complete idiots if you let Henry go. That would be your biggest mistake in the last ten years! ![]() If I were you, I would be sweating my ass off and cracking my brain on how to keep him! The guy is too much! ![]() |
Loyika, I don't see Eto going to Arsenal. He'll come to Chelsea or go to YankeeDollarPool! ![]() You guys should try to keep Henry, but if the guy wants to go, sorry o. ![]() |
DAMN! Denial is the only escape route from reality! ![]() |
Wow, this is our third player on free transfer! ![]() I love Chelsea! ![]() |
PRAISE THE LORD! BEN HAIM IS NOW A CHELSEA PLAYER! ![]() Chelsea have completed the capture of Bolton defender Tal Ben Haim on a free transfer. Ben Haim has put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal with Jose Mourinho's men after passing a medical at Stamford Bridge on Thursday. The Israel international saw out his contract with The Trotters and has now finally completed a long-awaited move to The Blues. Chelsea were keen to land the former Maccabi Tel Aviv man in the January transfer window but the switch collapsed. Sammy Lee had hoped to hold onto Ben Haim for his first full season in charge of Bolton but the versatile stopper has opted for pastures new. Former manager Sam Allardyce also wanted the 25-year-old but admitted defeat after learning he was in West London for talks. Ben Haim has now wrapped up his transfer to Chelsea and has committed to the club on a contract until June 2011. http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=472011&CPID=8&clid=8&lid=2&title=BLUES+BAG+BEN+HAIM&channel=football_home&

Some Interesting facts about our new Away Jersey from the times: Chelsea have yet to make a glamorous purchase in the transfer window but, thanks to the new away strip that the London side boldly unveiled on its website today, they will cut a new appearance on their travels next season. The electric-yellow jersey, shown above, was chosen because it adheres to the club's "great tradition of wearing yellow", though it will also presumably also please Jose Mourinho by making it easier for officials to follow the movement his players. Its qualities do not end there, either. According to the online blurb, the new shirt is the product of the latest technologies in garment manufacture. Incredibly, for example, it "mimics the natural movements that occur during 90 minutes", so the No 11 version will presumably slump to the floor at the slightest physical contact. Plus, its designers employed infrared cameras to identify the body's "sweat zones", suspicious as they doubtless were of the oldfashioned evidence of the sweatpatch. And, it is made with ClimaCool, the groundbreaking cooling fabric that was used, well, in last year's white away strip. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premiership/chelsea/article1932853.ece |

The interesting news now is that Eto'o said he wants to come to the premiership and Chelsea is bidding for him along with Arsenal and Yankeepool. ![]() Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o is ready to resist an offer from AC Milan to make his dream move to the Premiership this summer. El Mundo Deportivo says Eto'o knows Barca want to cash in on him at the end of this season - and that they have been actively courting interest from Milan. But the Cameroon ace is determined that the final decision will be his, with the striker's agent, Josep Maria Mesalles, having concrete contract offers on the table from Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal. http://www.tribalfootball.com/article.php?id=43733 |
I've seen the story. Even Fat Sam has admitted defeat. See what he said: - Newcastle boss Sam Allardyce has admitted defeat in his efforts to sign Bolton defender Tal Ben Haim, claiming he will sign for Chelsea. The 25-year-old, who is out of contract at Bolton, seems destined to join the FA Cup winners, who made a bid for him during the January transfer window. Allardyce told Newcastle's official website: "It's looking like Tal will be going to Chelsea, unfortunately. "We have had a long, hard go, but I think the lure of the (former) champions has perhaps just pipped me at the post." http://www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,16368,1770_2359688,00.html |

RichyBlacK: ![]() I'm trying really hard not to throw misiles at you! My advice to you is to just quietly leave this forum! ![]()
Women want men who can bring home the bacon,we want women who can cook the bacon. The feminazis want the former but condemn those who want the latter.Ridiculous.
If only you guys would agree to this. You men are selfish pricks! You insist that we do all the cooking, do the laundry and clean the house, but when we tell you to bring money to take care of the family, you say we should split the financial responsibility 50-50 or 60-50. Nonsense! ![]() |
Drogba is not going anywhere. You guys just misunderstood his statement. He was commenting on Abramovich's refusal to splash money on players this time around. What he is saying is that if the club refuses to be ambitious next season, he might leave. It means he has no plans of leaving this summer. If he wanted to leave, he wouldn't have signed the new five year contract he just signed. He doesn't want to leave but he is just scared that the club would not continue with its ambitions to win the Champions League. He is misinterpreting our refusal to sign big players as a sign that we are not hungry anymore. What player would be happy to live through his career without winning Europe's biggest cup? ![]() |
![]() Nice one denex. I guess the low salary is what makes our government officials so damn corrupt! ![]() |
