Wow
This car parts is really affordable, but what can you say about the car performance and how rugged is it for this hustle...
It holds it's own. Service as at when due. I only know my car and it knows me, I'm pretty hands on with minor repairs e.g changing serpentine belt, replacing radiator and fan, cleaning air filter, engine service etc.

A first time car user shouldn't go near a Benz for the hustle.

Boss man we will sha go home. I didn't even know the traffic exist as I use to stay back at Yaba till 10pm before going home. Since I finished around 5 yesterday, that was how I pick trip from Yaba to Ogba 4500 with 2hrs at most mindset. Spent almost 3 hours from MKO to Amara Olu. Rider even pity for me and gave me 5500, while she find her way. From Amara Olu to Omole phase 1 is another thing. As I check the map this afternoon and saw the situation is the same, I didn't bother coming out.
Yeah, I figured you stay around that area hence it's unavoidable. The Lord is your strength.

JB should do fast and complete that road, it's too much stress.

You use C180 for e hailing.... Hows the maintenance amd fuel
Yes I do. Maintenance is pretty straight forward. Some parts are cheap, some are expensive.

Engine 190k last I asked
Gear 85k when I bought it in October
Front hub 6k
Radiator 15k
Fan-moduless 25k, with Module 30k shocked na this one weak me pass cheesy
Linkage 6k (new)
Steering rack 35k
Power steering pump 20k
AC compressor manual 45k, auto 35k
Condenser (new) 25k

Fuel consumption is moderate, 1k to gross 4k.

The electricals can be a b*tch sometimes, I'd advise anyone buying not to buy Nigerian used except you are sure for the wiring has not been abuSed.

5 days work, you're definitely guaranteed 100k gross. If you do the work well with a hustler determination, you will gross way above that.
PS: Lagos only. I don't know about ABJ.
The net depends on the car you drive (fuel wise) and which app you use since they all take different commission.
A 10L fuel should gross you 10k if you don't dead-drive. Mind you, if you're intending to drive, don't ever risk hustling with just 10 litre fuel in your car, it's very risky. Always buy fuel in excess.
Much respect, boss.
Except you are using a 1.3L engine Suzuki Suppressor, 10L (#1850) fuel won't gross 10k.

Someone please recommend Agbede that wash radiator. I think I have an issue similar to the other guy with the Camry.

My car temperature goes up when I use AC in the afternoon regardless of my speed. Once the weather is hot.

I did engine service yesterday and mechanic used that opportunity to check for possible cause.

Findings shows that, thermostat is okay, fan blows well, gasket is good. He's suspecting the radiator might be dirty internally. I washed the condenser and radiator at the car wash on Saturday.

Hello guys
Please is this normal

When people who has weight sit at the back of my car when I drive into a bad road my exhaust hits my car under and makes noise. I observed it one time after a mad road made my exhaust tear into 2. Panel beater fixed it and I went back to tell him to tie the exhaust very well soo it doesn’t hit the car.

This morning while on a trip, 4 teenagers were at the back and I noticed it was constantly hitting the car and it got to a point my car sound changed. When I ended the trip, I looked under my car and realized my exhausted has cut into 2 again. Good enough I called the panel beater and got it fixed. This afternoon again 2 people who had weight sat in the back and when I enter into a speed bump it still hits the car.

Please is this normal with Corrola? Or the panel beater doesn’t know what he is doing? Although my former Corolla I use to hear the sound but I didn’t use it for e hailing that’s why I didn’t notice
It's not normal. Use another panel beater, let him inspect the exhaust system. Perhaps they worked another car exhaust there or your Rear shocks are bad.

Meanwhile why did you carry 4 people? Pity your car, the fares are too low these days.

Don't blame the riders, but the drivers... just close from church and tot of driving till 4. Every 1300 trip is gone. 1k voom, it is gone. Rider is ready to carry trip of 8km for 1k. I guess it all have to do with demand. No one will die if drivers set their priorities right. Men have to pay for rental and at the end using 9k fuel to make 20k. Rida seem to be the worst.

I think it's best to go take some rest at home, economy is not smiling.
You are right Sha. Drivers are not helping at all.

Someone wrote something on Facebook that, there are new drivers from other state that just moved to Lagos, they are used to low fares in their former state of residence so they just pick anything..Moove korope not left out.

Everything worsened immediately after election.
My daily target that I used to make with ease had become tough with more time to be spent.
This last Friday, I set out at 8am (which I don't normally do), I entered house few minutes past 12midnight to make 30k. angry
I was at VI at 10pm yesterday, come see as everywhere silent and dry like say people have deserted the area. sad
Yesterday wey be Saturday that normally, events go dey bubb, e dry.
Come see the kind orders I was seeing yesterday, mostly going to Alasia/Ojo and its environs, I was like wetin dem dey do for those areas? The price of them self go piss you off.
Drivers go pick those annoying fares cos everybody is aware things are tough now and they would want to make some money riskying it by all means.
I could only make 28k yesterday wey be Saturday, omoh, I just vexed go house at past 11pm.
People have money but they can't spend it. They can't flex it. They can't move around.
All thanks to CBN and FG. Nonsense people.
I have 2 riders I'm yet to receive 4.5k & 5.2k respectively.
They've been debited and I have their receipts, but money never drop and these ones no ready to make another transfer cos they have evidences of payment.
I bought meal somewhere around ogba yesterday and did a successful transfer with my receipt and debit alert, I spent 1hr 30 mins waiting for those people to be credited cos they wouldn't lemme go. Na that situation affected my sales yesterday. Omoh, I no fit cry. angry
This country is in a deep mess.
Everybody's complaining.
My mumsy just set up a mini restaurant and we spent a lot to erect the business, though before election, because of this bulaba situation wey food dey waste, she's been home since last Sunday. Better than wasting food.
Make she wait till everything starts becoming normal.
As it is now, every angle of businesses is feeling the heat.
E go reach 2pm before I go out today cos I need to remit, if not, I no go work till everything becomes normal.
We are in hot pepperish soup. grin grin
Modified:
Where I parked on Billings way yesterday , I was refreshing my indrive app inside car na so I saw one man approached me with a greeting, he introduced himself and we started chatting, baba said he's been online (bolt) for over 3 hours no order came in. grin though I found that hard to believe. Bolt of all companies! sad
He saw me refreshing indrive and he said I should put him through in registration. Him sharply downloaded the app. I was just laughing.
Baba, na everywhere the thing dey affect ooh. grin grin grin
Tough situation man. What baffles me is, why Indrive chose to do giveaway with the fares. It's so bad. And riders reduce it even further.

I had to accept one trip this morning just so I can curse the guy. App brought 4100 (still ridiculous for 37km trip. He reduced to 3500.

I use Uber more these days (thanks to maclatunji). Just that card trips are too much and you won't know until you've started the trip hence I always ask including destination.

From freedom way to Ikeja, started trip 15mins past 6pm, I found myself at passenger's destination @11:30pm. Trip of 6.5k sad
Na bolt drivers go smile yesterday for sure. cheesy
I dey house like this and I'm planning to sleep cos I no dey in mood to work today at all.
Even as at 1midnight, come see traffic,
I pitied people going to ojodu Berger and beyond.
I friend of mine who had a trip from surulere to ogudu said he spent over 4hrs inside traffic alone on ikorodu road.
Omoh, they need to hasten up the Berger express way. Cos that's where the traffic devil resides now.
Omoh, it was really a nightmare.
Much respect, boss.
Chai I pity you Sha. Did you talk to the rider about adding to the fare?

Thanks for the reply. I really don’t have opportunity to meet drivers offline. If you have experience how do you go about it please?

Concerning where not to go, from this thread I’ve been told to avoid festac, satellite town, mile 2, ikorodu. Although I don’t know those places but when I see them on app I don’t bother.

Please I will appreciate your contribution
So far you are out there hustling, you will meet drivers. Hint: when you see a Corolla parked with the driver hanging one leg outside, na driver grin Park behind him, , walk up to him and exchange pleasantries. From there you get to the main thing. If you happen to be on the island, go-to Chevron drive under the tree.

Good thing you have figured out the areas not to go but I kid you not, once in awhile you will need to go to those places. As you progress, you'll understand why.

Hello guys. I’m beginning to doubt this e hailing of a thing. Or is it my location? I saw a trip that will take about 30 mins for 1,700 naira on indrive and drivers are picking it. Please is this how it works? And also is bolt now better than indrive? Indrive fare looks too cheap. The problem I have with bolt is that I can’t pick locations to go to and that has affected my driver’s score.

Please how are you guys doing it? Cos I learnt this business is profitable
Meet with drivers offline, let them show you how to go about it.

Mind you, you can't be too selective on areas to work as a newbie. Your first and second month should take you almost round Lagos, by the end of the second month, you would have marked your no go areas.
