I was in a meeting with my partner and he mentioned that he wanted to rush to the bank to make an atm withdrawal. I asked why? He said he usually give his wife some amount of funds every month. I was astonished and then the other colleague of ours said he does not give the wife any thing that it's much better like that.

I asked both of them the reason for their decision and they explained: the first guy who gives his wife $650 per month said that he does it so that the wife can do a few things herself and not always be a liability since she has no job . The second guy said that all women are liabilities that he does not give for the following reasons:

- She will be jobless and have no positive vision because she will be expecting her monthly pension without retirement.

- She would not understand the value of money and will spend excessively.

- Her love for him might re-wire into money and she might be with him just for money.

- she will be prone to infidelity. An idle mind with money is the devil's factory..

He mentioned alot of reasons and I could not help but reason with him.

So now I ask Nairalanders. ... What do you think?

Is it right for a man to allocate an amount for his partner monthly? Or weekly?

what exactly is the money meant for? Is it for the up keep of the home or for the wife's personal needs.
If he doesn't give his wife up keep money then how will they feed?

If it is up keep of the house then he just have to give but if its for her personal needs then it all depend on if she is working or not.

Seasons greetings to every one that reads this. This is actually the very first time I'm creating a thread

So, I want to use this medium to openly renounce my Christian faith. I've been a Christian since the day I was born. Maybe not fully devoted, but I spend quality time praying, fasting and reading the bible on my own. For the past 3yrs, i've experienced unimaginable pain, nothing has worked out for me, and my life seems to be going in circles. I've been praying to God, but havnt got results. Nothing appeals to me anymore. All I think about is suicide and I already got poison. My parents are the reason I haven't taken my life. They would be devastated cause I'm the last child. Money isn't the problem cuz I've tasted money that some working class people have never seen.

Before I joined NL, I never doubted God, but seeing all the hate and negative comments from NL atheists has made me question God. The pain in my heart is too much and I wonder why an omnipotent God would let me or anyone suffer. I dont know why God remembers everyone else but ignores me. For the past one week, I've not prayed because I figured why pray when it won't be answered. So yeah, I've officially dropped Christianity today.

Marriage is a different ball game. where the man is always right, he's the boss and the law. while the wife is usually the submissive and supportive partner. Christians don't have religion or culture that's why they keep living like swines...a situation where a pastor is busy collecting tithes and the congregation are suffering or a religion where anybody picks the Bible and calls himself prophet.. Going towards ajah, I noticed no spill over from stations as they all had just 2-3 cars per queue. This of course hasn't been a typical scenario these past few weeks, hence why I said it's been inconsistent.

You can fine 2-3 car in stations were they sell above 87 naira per litre.

Here in kaduna, I bought for 140 naira per litre this morning.

Op is it the market they call gate? Oh noooooooo this is sad & I was planing on going to that market 2day.

I am a little depressed now. i came here to seek counsel. i am 31 yr old male, works in a bank. have my own apartment and car, Quite comfortable. i am not and never have been in a very serious relationship. the few ones i tried never just works out. most times the ladies dont measure up, the few ones that did measure up were so much in a hurry to marry (maybe because they were older than i was sha)

my friends too wonder, they say with my status ladies should be all over me. they say i dont take them serious. i am not gay and wil never be.

i agree my job leaves me little room to go out because i work almost every day. in fact in a whole month i have just 2 free weekends. 2 days out of which i still go to work.

nice idea, shebi na the whole 36states + fct d party go hold abi? Reason is members of this forum are located @ almost 774 local govt areas in the country.

we may not be able to do it in the 36 states being the first one but I think it can be done in Abuja, Lagos & PH for a start then as time goes by more ideas & strategy will come up.

Bear in mind that when doing something, you may not be perfect at the start but as time goes by u get better & better.

Very possible, especially when the lady/guy is a true worshiper of Christ & understands the word of God.

Like you rightly said, their are still good ladies out there but their are almost no good men out there. Get me, I didn't say their are no good men but very very few. This days its hard to see good men who will still love a lady that was there for him when he was not having anything.

The moment he starts making money he forgets the lady that has been with him when the times where hard & some end up being with the lady out of pity & not love.

It is very frustrating when a man doesn't love a lady but keeps the lady out of pity. A man's true character shows up when he starts making money.
