You earn maximum points with a PhD. Although the difference between a masters and PhD is less than 5 points, I think

grin grin grin it seems with OND n HND, one has earned the maximum scores for education n any additional certificate will add nothing?

grin I thought the more the certificates, the more the points accumulated. Won't combination of OND, HND & BSc gives higher CRS than OND+BSc or HND+BSc only?

Debsify:
Lol what do you need ECA for all these especially WAEC? HND and BSC I think will be sufficient
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 7 by realdon(m): 1:05pm On Apr 18, 2019
Hello guys,

I contacted ICES about cost of ECA for WAEC, OND, HND & BSc, but they told me that evaluation of each credential costs $200. Impliedly, the four certificates will cist $800 to evaluate.

Pls, I need advice on alternatives that can give me lower amount because I thought they'd charge $200 for everything put together?

TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 7 by realdon(m): 5:21pm On Apr 17, 2019
I don't understand why sb will be preaching that people should stay back in the country and keep suffering without job tongue Meanwhile, govt officials profligate the abundant resources mindlessly. You shouldn't have travelled abroad at all! I hope u weren't deported?. Any rational being wants a good life and its not a bad thing as long as u r doing it legally. Use ur NGO to campaign against bad government n criminality n leave ppl trying out a better life. Do u know what means to send children to sch n they can't get job after graduation?

rentAcock:
Quite sad, so many people are excited to flee their motherland to help grow and build up a white man's land. It's just like what my friend used to say, 'immigration is modern day slavery except this time they do not have to forcibly chain able bodied men to slave ships or rape our women, they just make it easier for your youngest and brightest minds to simply emigrate in droves'. Who will build this country if you all leave, have you ever thought of that? You think once you run to Canada you will still have any reason to return home? How about your kids? Do you think by taking them to Nigeria for 3weeks vacation will entice them to one day relocate to their father land? Sure nobody thinks about these things. The biggest problem the black race has is selfishness while the white man thinks about the greater good of a community. Everyone only thinks about what will benefit them and their family and that's where it ends. Even in the so called abroad, your fellow Nigerian will not want to accommodate or guide you because they think you will be better than them. Common info about schools, work or getting certain government documents, your fellow Nigerian in the diaspora will not help you. White countries and white people In general are successful because they collaborate and help each other. U.S, Canada and the UK are amongst the most developed countries today due to strong trade and military alliance. A white employer will hire a fellow white man for a lucrative job position before he hires an immigrant with the same credentials.

Before anyone says I'm ranting because I was denied Visa or whatever PPR thing you guys relish here like a lottery ticket, I also used to think abroad was the be all end all after graduating from university. I also hustled and eventually left Nigeria. I made $265,000 that year working several overtime hours (I have the W-2 and tax return forms to prove it) but I was never really satisfied because this part of me kept feeling like I betrayed my country. It takes a special kind of person to self reflect and then decide to walk away from a lifestyle of adequate security, good health care system, great schools, cheap food and law & order but without any sacrifice, Nigeria will perpetually remain a 3rd world cesspool. I moved back, got a job and started a mentorship and scholarship program where we find youths whose families are unable to pay their elementary and secondary school fees and we partner with local businesses to raise funds for these kids. School isn't for everyone, we also train several kids in IT, carpentry, plumbing, construction and mini importation. Has it been easy? No. Do I sometimes miss the convenience of my 2 bedroom apartment in north Los Angeles? You bet I do. But do I feel accomplished knowing that I'm making a positive change in small ways that will alleviate poverty, possibly reduce crime and put more food on the tables of a few Nigerians? Certainly.

The UN needs to look into countries like Canada that take advantage of the dire situation in Nigeria and prowl on our brightest and youngest minds for the sole purpose of developing their country and replacing their aging workforce. Just today, their Prime minister was begging President Buhari to give him 1 million Nigerians. This just sounds like the year 1756 where the white man met with local chiefs and traded silver, mirrors and gun powder for African slaves. While I know most of you have made up your mind to flee your motherland, the least I can urge you to do is to find reputable charities and NGOs in Nigeria and donate to them once in a while. Goodluck.

Nigeria is a failed "shithole" country huh Ordinary international passport material is not available for weeks because its been imported. No Reorder level? Finished completely b4 ordering for more. Wow! Its a catastrophe befalling a nation called Nigeria. Col Alli needs to explain this shameful failure.

Hello Everyone,

I changed the name of the channel to align with the vision of the channel, in this video I talked about immigrating to Canada for people without college or University degree.

TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 7 by realdon(m): 12:40pm On Apr 15, 2019
Buhari can't dictate to us to leave Nigeria or not. If the news it genuine, they should just launch the new visa category n see how many people will apply. grin. Nigerian economy is practically like a hell at the most moment n its getting worse. If they need 5million, we r ready

Topsmamen:
Canada’s Prime Minister begs Nigeria President for one million immigrants

Beg? He doesn't even need to ask. Buhari will probably be like "Mr Frime Minister. These lazy Nigerian youths are already leaving the country". Doesn't seem true, if you ask me.
grin grin grin

Good morning house,

Pls,, is it possible to have the following scenario and still have a good chance of success in each of the stages:
One has commenced the EE program; then apply for study permit. If the study permit is successful, is it possible to continue with the EE in Canada if you have ITA just after you arrived in Canada to start your study? Won't any of the visa category affect the other?

Hi good people,

Is it possible to apply for FSWP and PNP at the same time or switch from one to the other if any of them is not favorable in terms of CRS score or it's taking too long to get an update?

Also, of what effect is it if an applicant indicate someone as an accompanying person; but the person doesn't accompany the applicant at the time of travelling to Canada if the EE is successful?

Your qualification will be evaluated as 2 or more certificates.

If you can get reference letter from your former place of work (bank), you can claim points for your years of experience there.
Thank you for the response.

But i have a reference letter with which I applies for visiting in 2013, but I was refused visa. I hope I can still use the same letter?

Hello wonderful people. Please advise me on the following issues:
1, How would they classify my qualification if I have OND in Accountancy and later got BSc in Business Administration through direct entry?
2, Also, I stopped working with the bank about five years ago after which I've been self employed with a small gas station; I sell gas accessories and cookers in the small company. What should I fill as working experience?
3, I'm registered for ACCA and have got exemptions for 9 papers. My area of experience covers finance, accounting and business.

This is a very wonderful thread considering what I've learnt so far. However, I observe that age play a vital role towards points accumulation; what's the chance of achieving adequate points for a 45 yr old who fulfils every other conditions?

The exam was cool bro. The reading was almost the sweetest self, to be honest tho right from time, I didn't usually have issues with the reading and listening. I'm however afraid of what I could score in speaking. Tho I took realdon's advice and sincerely it worked. But overall, I think I was too scared. When the result is out tho, I would share it here. Thanks for asking.
As for the questions covered, I will advice you practice using Barron's Ielts text book and also Google sample videos. There are some on YouTube.
I wish u the best and thank u for sharing ur experience with those helpful tips.

I will, thanks. You think having an unconditional offer will increase one's chances of being called up for an interview?
Not really, but not having it as at 14 July 2016 may lead to disqualification.

Thanks again. It is very clear. If, say, one makes it to the interview stage, the notification will be through e-mail or by calling? Or just a change in the status?

I also haven't made any application to any of the three universities I chose. I was thinking maybe I should wait and see if am called up for an interview..? I have already done the IELTS though and uploaded the trf.
Notification for interview will be by status update and e-mail. Apply to the schools ASAP. It is really nice that u already made ur IELTS
