modelsms: Yea, it used to be 100 naira as bank charge you know.
At any rate, you should be bothered when dealing with others and not me. No other seller anywhere has more than 2 or 3 banks. We are unique. We have 6 popular banks accounts, so 99% of transfers to us are not charged because it's an internal transfer, that is between customer and customer of same bank.
So if you use, for example GT bank, I will give you our GT account so you don't pay charges. If you use Diamond I give you Diamond and son on..
That also makes the transaction faster since it's internal. .Cheers! i see... so do you have Fidelity and First Bank? |

Mpeace: I too would like to liquidate my T bills. Mine expires in december. Its primary market I got at 18.5%. Can a bank liquidate primary market bills? just go to the bank where you bought it and request liquidation. i hear it doesnt take days to complete (ibtc). you loose like 10%-20% of the interest you earned upfront... So your capital will return almost full |

In realty most RICH men work 6am-12midnight!
go check the facts.
when workers close; ..the boss stays on and checks the records ..reads reports ..starts preparing restocking ..sometimes holds strategic meetings with partners or potential partners ..goes to lobby on behalf of the company ..the boss also starts work before the workers everyday. AND works 7days a week!
RESPECT THE BOSS AND THAT YOUR JOB! |

TheAlchemist: Lets be frank the Nigerian environment makes running your business a very difficult preposition. The same business that will easily survive in developed countries due to the wonderful financial and economic support structure in place would fail big time in Nigeria. Do you know how difficult it is to access funds for business expansion. If you can not access funds to either rejig or retool your business, how is the business supposed to survive. You would be lucky to find a finance outfit that would give you a loan at less than 30% interest rate P.A.
For those who have a 9 - 5 job, in Nigeria should hug onto their job, running a business with zero security, epileptic power supply and lack of government patronage is no joke. thank you! my neighbour was selling food. local boys entered there every night & ate any food they saw & take food stuffs.. ..till her husband called all area boys & gave them drinks & begged. all that stopped instantly. |

LeeCodeman: Understood. But what about the people here saying they had a year bid. That means they all bidded at the primary market with at least 50 million naira? Thanks for the various responses.
you only need a minimum of 100k to invest through banks (ibtc & fbn).. ..but you must use bank rate. you only need 50million if you want to tell the bank to bid at YOUR SPECIFIC RATE at the primary market. |

majekdom2: Real entrepreneurs don't talk down paid jobs because that's part of what they create. It is part of the value entrepreneurs create for the society. Any "entrepreneur" that talks down paid jobs/employees is a RAT and in Misery... check well. The enterprise isn't delivering any value, thus they talk down jobs to make themselves feel good. Most of the peopele typing “ be your own boss”, or “team self-employed” or quoting “your salary is the bribe given to abandon your dream and build other people dream” are students or sitting at home chopping Daddy or mommy food and collecting pocket money! till we change our mentality about going from university class to 250k per month or daddy giving you 1million to start a business.. ..and start thinking "work and save , then start a business part time, then go fulltime (if its successful)".. ..most Nigerians will just continue to start those failed businesses we see everywhere! |

I was able to make about 55k from my business. I want to invest in into TB for the 1 year that I will be off. Does it makes sense? Thanks. thats not enough for TBills... put it in a Money market Fund, its almost like Tbills but the minimum investment is from 5k. (a good one we know is stanbic IBTC MMF ~ check the website or visit the bank for more info) ask more questions on that at the thread below: https://www.nairaland.com/1912965/mutual-funds |

urchbarbie: I think this is quiet true cos on my 200k i get about 97naira daily.
I want to move over to TBills kindly advise me, would Tbills be more lucrative please. TBills will give you interest for the next 364 days now. The makes your profit CERTAIN for that period. Mutual fund however, interest rate may go down in the next 3months and then you start earning less within same period.. Therefore, invest in tBills when you have enough capital to LOCK DOWN the current rate for the period ahead (200k is good); then put the upfront interest in your mutual fund to keep earning daily... In your case, put 200k in Tbills @18% get N36k then put the 36k in mutual fund ... |
