A woman popularly known as Iya Ibadan who caught her husband in bed with another woman, has taken her own life by drinking Sniper.


A woman identified as Kafilat Oriade has committed suicide by drinking ‘Sniper’, a popular pesticide used in homes, after allegedly catching her husband with another woman on their matrimonial bed.


According to eyewitness, the incident occurred on Wednesday evening at Ashafa Street, Isuti Road, Egan-Igando, a Lagos suburb.
It was gathered that the deceased, popularly known as Iya Ibadan, caught her husband, Ismaila Oriade, when she visited him after they had separated for a while due to some family feuds bordering on marital unfaithfulness.


A witness said the deceased had taken the pesticide on two separate occasions in the past but survived after a prompt intervention by the neighbours.
This time around, it was gathered that the deceased took a much larger quantity of the liquid and became unconscious. She was rushed to the nearby Crest Hospital where she was reportedly rejected by the management.


She was then taken to Vintage Hospital along same Isuti Road where she was given some injections to ease potency of the poison.
According to Motunrayo Ajenifuja, a cousin to the deceased’s husband, “Vintage stopped attending to her when the doctor discovered that Iya Ibadan had first attempted murder through hanging herself.


“The doctor saw marks round her neck as evidence of attempting killing herself. We took her home after many pleas with the doctor who refused treating her.”
Attempts to speak with the doctor at Vintage hospital were unsuccessful as he said he was not permitted to speak with the press but admitted attending to the deceased.


When our reporter visited the house of the deceased, it was learnt that her husband had deserted the apartment on hearing about the death of his wife.
When contacted through his mobile number, he said they had long separated prior to her death then ended the conversation.


The first son of deceased, Jamiu Korede, said they wanted to get doctor’s report before transporting the corpse to her home town in Ibadan.

Makarfi promises to abide by result of PDP presidential primary


The presidential aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi, has said if he doesn’t emerge as the party’s candidate for the 2019 election, he would accept it in good faith.

The former Kaduna state governor in an interview with select journalists in Kaduna, said if he leaves PDP, he would politically go into semi retirement and not seek positions again.

He said: “Whatever will be the outcome of the presidential primary, I will accept it in good faith; whether I emerge as the candidate or not. I mean whatever is the outcome; I will accept it in good faith.

“Anyway, I can contribute to the success of the party, what I can do, I will do, but the question is, will I leave the party and go to another party?

“I have said it repeatedly that if I leave PDP, I will politically go into semi retirement, by semi retirement, it means that you won’t find me contesting for elective office.

“I may still be a political player, playing whatever role that I could play, but at my age if I don’t get nominated now, you can imagine what my age will be at another chance.”

On defections from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the PDP, Makarfi said he had long predicted these defections many months back.

Good morning house.

3 days ago I posted a job vacancy for a friend who needed a Customer Service Officer and an Administrative Officer.
Through the weekend he told me he went through several CVs he got and he was shocked to see several flaws and errors on so many CVs.
The first thing he stated was that a lot of job seekers do not have professional email addresses. He saw some email like dolapoLuv2@gmail.com some preetyEmmanuella1@gmail.com and several other emails like that. Please if you have such email please change it. E.g KolawoleMichaels@gmail.com

Secondly, a lot of these CVs had so many spelling errors, so many. Before you submit your CV please cross check again and again.

Thirdly, don't CC send your CV some people send CVs to several emails at a time. Send them individually to each recruiter.

Another thing is using upper case and lower case on the same sentence.... Such mistake (VictoRIA children CreChe) If I didn't see this I would not believe a job seeker would make such mistake.

The point is always check your CV for errors, most times when we feel recruiters don't get back to us, little things like this might be the reason who knows.
Just to let us know.
