Weeks ago Japan has requested for joint access to US nuclear warheads. I didn't know what was on the offing till now.
Japan is much bigger than Russia at almost every level.
Russia's primary focus of wars and weapons usually don't grant them much desired victories when faced with the big boys. I expected a paradigm shift when faced with a small boy like Ukraine but the outcome so far has been woefully disappointing with Ukraine now reclaiming territories lost to the Russians just within 4weeks of war!
Within 4weeks their precision missiles are already considerably depleted they'll now have to increasingly rely on dumb Bombs to be dropped under gravity.
Russian army are better off defending than winning wars. They lack dogged fighters with dogged fighting spirits like the Japanese, British, and Germans.

A second war with Japan at this time will be the worst thing they can hope for. Not when the mighty America is behind the equally powerful Japanese. Japan has the capacity to fight far away from home and conquer.
Russia struggles within their own borders let alone outside of it. A country that couldn't sustain a robust ground operation just across their borders against a much weaker Ukraine(in a war they have superior air advantage) can't face one that conquers a whole continent.

However, this is not as if i like the Japanese. They are crazier and more aggressive than the Russians. In fact all countries can be crazy especially while under dictatorship.

The war in Ukraine is quite different. Russia is not going there to obliterate. They have a mission there. You should also know that out of the 40m population of Ukraine, all men which would probably be half of that number have been drafted into the army to fight against 150k soldiers or even less. So this means that all the men in Ukraine are fighting at the moment.

it seems it has not dawned on you that the US have a habit to leaving you when the stage is very hot. You will be shocked if someone like Donald Trump was still president and Japan was under attack. You think that he would help them? someone that was already looking at the prospects of pulling out of NATO

Russia has the most deadly nuclear bomb in the history of the world. Russia has land mass to withstand as much nuclear weapons that could be fired to it. That would not be the case for central europe and washington.

Nooo. What I think is that Russia will be able to hold their own against Japan this time for obvious reasons but the Japanese will eventually run them over.

I expect the Japanese to sustain considerable losses initially but will eventually grow monstrous.

The Japanese, just like the Germans, are capable of building a more sophisticated army than even the US if they were left to do so but that doesn't mean they don't have enough level of sophistication to keep Russia busy while they prepare to drown Putin's army.

Fear those countries that are leading the world in high tech civilian gadgets. They are the ones with the industrial capacity and resources to build the most horrific military hardwares with a well coordinated army that win wars.

Russia losses wars. They are known for defeats except where others come to their aid.
