While my orders which were "despatched to overseas" on 23rd and 26th September haven't arrived yet... Something isn't right...
Looks like somebody finally did their job.
Guys how long does it take to get to post office?

Gptech:
Some times it gets to 120 days grin.
Lol. Are you serious?

Then how do you know it has gotten to Nipost? What is the average time
Normally, NIPOST are supposed to contact you once they receive your order, but you can't completely rely on their notifications as they may never come. Hence you'll have to manually check a month after your oder was shipped...If it hasn't arrived, continue to check at reasonable intervals while also paying close attention to "buyer protection time" for possible dispute proceedings in case you never got the item.

How long it take for an item to get to Nigeria using China post ordinary small packet plus?
60 days at maximum. And it's untrackable.
PhonesRe: The Xiaomi Thread. by Reddington(m):
Fatasy:
That has to to with your shipping company method not nipost, ones ur order lands in Nigeria,u get it the next day.

I still have an order thats still in transit in country of origin since september 11.
If I'm not mistaken, Singapore Post should be among the most reliable Shipping method available - at least it's the general opinion here. And that was the shipping method I used. Maybe they're not as reliable as most of us think, apparently...
PhonesRe: The Xiaomi Thread. by Reddington(m):

I think it's a general problem with packages during that period, mine is for the 18th of August and am still sitting pretty, orders after then have all arrived and have been forgotten. Oh well keeping my fingers crossed; worse case Na dispute final final.....
Lol. I honestly don't believe it'll get to dispute level.. The orders will still arrive, I believe. They are in Nig., but the folks in charge of sorting and update are maybe a little sloppy with their job, I reckon.
Just got an update that my order (26th of September) has been "received at office of exchange Nig", after almost a week of "despatched to overseas". The one of 23rd of September, however, is still on "despatched to..."

Probably before next weekend, hope the backlogs due to the strike doesn't affect sorting though.
Bro, you've mentioned this "backlogs" quite a number of times here; what exactly does it mean in this context? Because my tracking status has been on "despatched to overseas" since 23rd of August... Using Singapore Post...

Well it might, nothing is guaranteed for now. Have an open mind.
Strike has been called off. Confused NLC. Let's see if I can get my package by next week..

fibonacci2526:
Yes NIPOST takes over the updates once it gets to Nigeria.
Ok. Thank you. The strike is ill-timed for me...I pray they call it off ASAP.. Don't want the delivery to exceed 2nd week of October... It's my first time ordering from Aliexpress, and the damn strike is making it an experience to forget... SMH

fibonacci2526:
Can't say for sure if the item is in Nigeria or not(On normal circumstance, it usually takes between 5-10days from dispatch to arrival). Any sort of change in status of your item would be when the strike is over and there is no timeline for that. So be very patient.

How is it the fault of singpost that NIPOST are on strike?
OK bro. Not saying it's their fault. From your reply you seemed to imply that once a package is "despatched to overseas" then NIPOST takes it up as per tracking updates? Sorry but I need to be sure that it's what you meant...
PhonesRe: The Xiaomi Thread. by Reddington(m): 8:41am On Sep 29, 2018
fibonacci2526:
It's normal, you might wait longer before you lay your hands on the phone though as NIPOST are on an indefinite strike. So expect delays due to backlogs once the strike is called off.
Alright you're saying it's like that because of the strike? Or how much longer do I have to wait before the status changes? Or does it mean my package is already in Nigeria but haven't been updated on the tracking platform?
I expected something straightforward and better from Singapore Post.
PhonesRe: The Xiaomi Thread. by Reddington(m): 8:05am On Sep 29, 2018
Morning guys, my status has been on "dispatched to overseas" for like six days now... Is it normal or should I be worried?

Please I need help my order which I made for xiaomi note 5 Ai since 17 august I still have not got my parcel and my tracking number has been should still on transit plus help me
Did you check the reviews of the seller/store? Number of orders? Seller's rating? These are extremely important before ordering any product from online retail platforms?
Meanwhile get ready for dispute opening...

Generally it's advisable to stay away from anything China post these days, very very terrible. You are looking at a time frame of 45-60days. If the seller hasn't shipped, cancel the order and choose a tracked carrier like Singapore post.
But if I'm correct, I'll need the permission of the seller to cancel the order...I'll have to explain to him/her why, and he/she'll have to agree in that regard ....that's how Aliexpress works right?

What happens to my money if I cancel the order now. I need urgent reply pls. Seller hasn't shipped.

No but am pretty sure your book balance and avail balance wudnt be the same right now,

So worry less
WTF. Just checked and I was debited - probably shortly after I made the payment...who knows?. Lol. It's quite unfair for Firstbank to debit me in such a sneaky way. As an "esteemed customer" I deserve to know the full details of my web transactions regarding rates and stuff! I don't have to carry calculator around all the time.
By the way guys, I mistakenly placed an order last night without adjusting the shipping carrier. I later discovered I used "China Post Ordinary Small Packet Plus" which unfortunately doesn't have a "track" option as a later found out. Pls guys how safe and reliable is this carrier? It has delivery time of 29 - 54 days attached to it...

My profile goes like thus:
institution: Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria
course: physiology
but it still says you are not on the matriculation list, kindly
print your admission letter online.
What should I do from here
I know the feeling bro, trust me. Your best bet at moment is to get a person who can log you in with a working profile...It gets more difficult with each day that passes tho.
Just try as many cyber cafés as you can. Better still, you could visit the nearest JAMB reg centre nearest to you and explain to them.

please is it any cyber café you did yours, the one I went to said he doesn't even know anything about it
Looks like the cyber café attendant you met is still miles behind....It's astonishing how incompetent those Ccafe folks have become these days. Wish you reside in my area... would've connected you with the guy that helped me with the stuff.

Is your order awaiting shipping yet?
Has it been processed yet?
Yes bro. Awaiting shipping... Processing order.
Count down timer shows 5 days and some hours before the order would be automatically cancelled if the seller fails to ship.
Is that why I haven't gotten a debit alert from FirstBank?
PhonesRe: The Xiaomi Thread. by Reddington(m):
Gptech:
Not correct, I use it regularly , yesterday inclusive.
Just ordered with First Bank Mastercard and payment was successful, I also got a "payment successful" mail from aliexpress. It's been 6 hours since I paid, but I haven't gotten a debit alert from First Bank. Could it be that they forgot or what? Lol

Sure. I submitted the admission letter only to the officer...Checked in less than a week and my status changed to "Congratulations....."

How much did it cost you sir, and has your name appeared on the matriculation list?
Yeah, my name has appeared. The whole admission letter stuff cost me N1,500. Officially it's N1,000, but the folks at cyber café must make some profit, right? You know what I'm saying..

Evening guys,
Heard with Aliexpress wallet, quick refund is guaranteed. So pls I need a step-by-step guide on how to pay from Aliexpress wallet after funding it...How do I link it during checkouts and payments? I see only MasterCard, Visa etc.. payment options..

Alright bro. So how do you go about the token? You've one? Or you use OTP? ... A pal here said token actually isn't necessary...

UBA is better. Used it on eBay, AliExpress etc. It's cheaper. STANBIC IBTC Bank charged me 366 yesterday.
Alright bro.
So why would Gtbank always brag about offering the best internet banking service in Nig? Guess they're being exaggrative. Lol..

Thanks bro.
Actually I've a First bank Naira Master card, but it seems not to work on Aliexpress. So I'll need to open a new account with a bank that their Master card actually works on Aliexpress.. Still contemplating between GT and UBA or Access..
Any suggestions?
