lanre316:Ya |
23 days after, despatched 1st and 3rd February just arrived.

GrandMufti:Well I don't mind porting back to Global Rom just to get a taste. But yeah, I trust developers could port the hell out of it. *Fingers itching ![]() |
Hope the update comes to Xiaomi.eu rom ASAP! MIUI + Pie would be a match made in heaven. ![]()
|
Pie MIUI for RN5 in testing mode...finally. Looks like RN4 users will be exempted from the update this time.
|
gidieberry:You tell me, brother. ![]() |
gidieberry:Lol. Are you even serious? PACman rom was actually the rom on my Galaxy s2 when I sold it back in 2014. The rom is basically a combination of features from Paranoid Android rom, AOKP rom and Cyanogen mod (now lineage OS), that's the meaning of the "PAC". The only reason I switched to PACman rom from Resurrection remix was because it had the Halo feature which I really love then! Go figure what Halo is! Lol. However, don't say Resurrection remix is behind in terms of customization coz it makes me wonder if you've actually used it or just trying to be funny. RR is as customizable as PACman, if not more! |
Babaty87:Chai. This Rom made their name on Samsung devices (starting from galaxy s2). Very popular then, including the almighty Omega rom of blessed memory . Resurrection Remix is probably the most customizable rom ever developed. I could remember using is on my gs2 those days.. You could customize virtually everything... including the app installation animation! The only downside is battery backup... average, in my opinion. Haven't tried it on Xiaomi tho, thanks to my policy of sticking with MIUI-Based roms. ![]() |
fibonacci2526:I tell you, bro. That store is one of the worst stores on AE. Had a very disappointing experience with them. Wasted my goddamn time only to tell me I can go ahead and cancel the order, that they were out of stock - after waiting for almost a week for the order to be shipped! Can you believe that? I swiftly cancelled order, but of course not without cursing the seller and his generation. Got my full refund days later. Stay clear of D -Phone" at least for now. |
gidieberry:He'll need to flash "dummy.img" first via fastboot |
busuyi44:Sorry to derail, but you ordered this from Honkong Goldway? |
Mrcalxy:What app, pls? |
Baroba: ![]() |
lovelani:I take the questions back. My apologies, bro. |
IKON360:Lol. Was anyone even arguing that? No disrespect, but when compared to Samsung, Xiaomi are still learning the trade in the display department . Sammy spends a lot time and resources to develop their screen. Their closest rival is Apple (with their crisp Retina display). Note 8 uses QHD+ Super AMOLED screen (521 ppi). So I'm surprised you're "still in shock" ![]() |
rapthugx:Sure, I've. Never experienced what you're talking about. You can even listen to live commentaries of NBA games if you're a fan of basketball. Nothing like broadcasting rights. However if you still get the message, you can listen to Brila FM on Saturdays. They've some kind of broadcasting agreement with TalkSports Live, thanks to Dr. Larry Izamoje (Brila founder/CEO). So what happens basically is that during EPL games on Saturdays, they switch to TalkSports studios, effectively broadcasting the commentary from Brila studios to Nigerian listeners. I've to warn you tho, the sound quality from Brila FM studios is fairly scratchy sometimes after this switch. |
lovelani:You "just started experiencing it"... Meaning you never experienced this keyboard lags initially when you applied the glass, right? Or you noticed the lag the moment you applied the glass? |
spartacus11:Got your point. Fact remains that a whole lot of people still listen to Radio. There's this freshness and unpredictability about Radio that makes it evergreen. Could remember boarding a bus, and everyone was enjoying a show from the driver's car Radio. Everyone on board was laughing coz the show anchor was very funny with his style. Vintage Radio. |

chrisnando:Following Lai Mohammed's footsteps isn't the best idea, bro. |
spartacus11:Radio isn't just about music or building Playlist, bro. Don't make it all about music, there are other far more interesting, refreshing and enlightening packages on Radio. Americans pay monthly just to listen to local FM stations in their cars, but it's free here. |
mindtricks:Very simple. First of all, I'm sure you already know you can't get BBC offline, unless your radio has SW (short wave) reception bands, which you can't find in any phone. The usually band is FM. Although if you stay in the UK you can easily get BBC on the FM band, which isn't possible here thanks to the principles of wavelength. Therefore, to listen to BBC or any international radio station, you'll have to download "TuneIn" app from Google playstore. In it, search for "BBC". So many BBC sister stations like BBC education, BBC 1, BBC 2, BBC 5live (broadcasts EPL and other sports events), BBC Asia, etc, will pop up. Just choose BBC World News Service or any station of your choice. It'll buffer and start playing. Always choose regular sound quality as it uses VERY LITTLE of your data. Mhen, there's this Radio station in Florida - Hit Jamz FM or something - they play trending hit songs 24/7 - One of my favorite stations, you might want to give it a try too. Also, like me, if you love classical music composed by Beethoven, Mozart and the likes, select "classical" from the menu, stations that play classical songs only will pop up... And then you make your choice!
|
bobo65:Hell yeah - a lot of people, as a matter of fact. For me, a phone could have all the trending features and latest tech support, but if Radio is absent, it breaks the deal. Call me old school but there's hardly a day that passes without me listening to Radio for 1hr at least. I'm a huge fan of quality Radio programmes, informative talk shows, like the ones available on Nigeria Info Fm, classic fm, beat, etc. If you're a fan of music, you hear the latest songs first on Radio. I mean, I even stream BBC World Service and Radio Dutchevela sometimes. With Radio there's nothing like boredom, and more importantly, you get entertained, informed and educated on the latest trends for free. No subscriptions. No Internet. A couple of years back, when Samsung decided to phase out Radio from their Galaxy series after Galaxy s3, fans worldwide went furious, demanding it back. They lost so many customers with that single decision. I'm sure Xiaomi wouldn't make same mistake, coz I'll be the first to switch. The earlier you appreciate the unlimited power of Radio, the better. More Radio stations are even springing up everyday. My state alone has 27 stations or thereabout... Not to mention Lag or PH. |
gidieberry:Accurate! ![]() |
Guess the Rom?
|
lovelani:Thanks for the review bro. Now I can't wait to feel mine! |
fibonacci2526:This is so true. I can barely download large files with MTN lately. Hope they get their shit together and fix whatever that needs to be fixed! |
busuyi44:One of Xiaomi's best products. Even tho I've always believed they copied "Fitbit" here. I mean, Mi band is almost like a very poor imitation of Fitbit. If you've used Fitbit products you'll understand my point precisely...They're the pioneers as far as this particular tech is concerned. All the same, Xiaomi tried. Hint: Fitbit is a little costly. |
LifeofEl:Sure, you guys seriously need me! ![]() |
reaky:Yes. They're very much different.. Check specs on AE. |
lovelani:OK. Would like to know your thoughts when you finally use it. |
