Sorry about your experience, The guy probably got another job and perhaps decides to go do it, when his new job reaches 70% , then he comes back to continue your project, using his wife as an excuse to be away, Even if he's not on site, he should have boys onsite, who would continue working regardless. Have had to Manage 2 POP projects for two Nairalanders at the same time, If am not on the Second site, am at the First (vice versa), But I split my boys & put them in each site, So clients job, doesn't stop , Work continues. My boys keep working, & keep me updated. Clients were happy. I really don't wanna judge , (don't know how critical his case is) just perhaps he's taking you for granted. He should at least Pick up your call & communicate Properly.

PS: I lost someone during those periods.

I also have a feeling that he is handling other projects too... He isn't picking my calls cos he has no other excuse to give.. I don't mind if he has other projects my only concern is that he finishes my work and do it properly..

I paid someone on this thread #820,000 to do a job based on previous work relationship and on trust...since August...

Till today he has not done 10% of the job, he is nowhere to be found and he keeps promising today, tomorrow etc.. Just cos I never knew his office..met him here on NL

You can try his number again to go check on him at the hospital if he picks..or try him with a different number..

Hello everyone....please I need your opinion on this... On Friday last week, my pop guy called to tell me he wasn't working on Friday cos his wife was ill and he needed to take care of her, he told me he was going to resume on Monday, I told him it was fine and he should go ahead. On Monday, people that went to the site to drop off the tiles told me he wasn't at the site so, I called him.. He told me he was at the hospital with his wife and they said it will take 4 days for her to get discharged, that he won't be able to work that Monday, I told him not to worry, he should take care of his wife.. I didn't call him for 2days only for me to call today and he didn't pick my calls, I have paid him half of his money and he has only completed the dinning and done part of the parlour... Is it possible that he ran away and abandoned the job?

The biodigester soakaway is a much smaller entity than the regular soakaway, so the artisans claim it is cheaper and requires less space. They put certain products containing microorganisms and enzymes inside the biodigester soakaway, which are meant to breakdown faeces into gas that is then released into the atmosphere through vents.

Now the catch, which the artisans will not readily tell you upfront until after you're fully committed, is that the biodigester soakaway is only meant for your toilets. It is too small to take on waste water from baths, kitchen, washing machine or wash hand basins, and also the soap used in these places will deactivate the microorganisms and/or enzymes, so you still have to do a separate soakaway for your waste water, which may actually nullify the claim that it is "cheaper" or requires "less space".

And again, just as soap can deactivate the microorganisms, your regular toilet cleaning agents can also do the same, so you have to buy special cleaning agents meant for use with biodigester soakaways and these cleaning agents are not just readily available on your supermarket shelves.

I haven't, but I do not like the idea that I'd still have to do a separate soakaway for waste water and also have to source for special toilet cleaning agents that may not be readily available, if I'm to opt for a biodigester soakaway. Personally, I'd rather go for the regular, tried and tested septic tank/soakaway combination even if it's more expensive, but that's just me I guess.

Okay Sir... Someone said I should go for biodigester but I have not seen anyone using it so that I can know which is better and how it works...

the framing was totally wrong. Very few people know how to make use of such frames. It should be cut in an angular form not the way it was done

You are an expert and know better...you can tell the fault just by looking at it... My own is to pay, I know nothing about how they make the doors.

Please, using hammer on those doors is not the best corrective measure. Uninstall the doors, get a good welder to amend them and get a good mason to install it back. It will come out fine.

Hammering has already been done though...will add it to my options, thanks for the advice...

it’s almost the same. But like this one that the cartoon is 0.96sqm, (20x 120x 4) by the time you buy 100sqm, it would be short by 4sqm.
Insist the seller must discount for the difference , that is 4 x #8500= #34000.

In conclusion...I should go for per sqm instead of buying in cartons? I have been feeling buying in Sqm is actually a cheat by sellers
